Abstract

This study also aims to determine the extent to which the implementation of the Teaching Factory (TeFa) learning model can be adjusted to the product/service-based learning activities that have been previously carried out at the target schools and to identify the factors that influence the success of the program. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted at Vocational High School in Lhokseumawe, which has already implemented the teaching factory model. Data collection in this study used three techniques: in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation study. The data analysis technique used is the interactive model which includes: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results indicate that (1) The TeFa learning model is an industry-based learning model that utilizes production units as a platform for running business or production processes. TeFa learning model developed in Vocational High Schools is integrated with production units for conducting practical activities for students. (2) The policy of school for TeFa learning is to align the existing curriculum with the curriculum needs of the industry. (3) The TeFa learning model is able to improve the competencies of students in the Mechanical Engineering expertise program in Vocational High Schools in Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze and evaluate the implementation of the technology and Islamic entrepreneurship curriculum based on local potential in Vocational High Schools, as well as to identify the impact of this curriculum on the quality of education, student skills, and its relevance to the needs of industry and local communities. This study aims to assess how the integration of technology, Islamic entrepreneurship, and local potential in the curriculum affects students' technical and entrepreneurial skills. Data collection in this study used three techniques: in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation study. The data analysis technique used is the interactive model which includes: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings show that the curriculum of technology and Islamic entrepreneurship based on local potential in Vocational High Schools contributes significantly to the improvement of students' skills, strengthening the relationship between the education sector and industry, as well as enhancing the welfare of the surrounding community. However, to achieve optimal results, stronger support from the government and industry is required

Abstract

The aim of this research is focused on efforts to produce an overview of the potential and implementation of national values and local wisdom that will be integrated into the learning process. The initial field analysis reveals a gap between expectations and reality regarding the implementation of Aceh Qanun Number 11 of 2014, resulting in the integrated education system in Lhokseumawe City not being fully realized. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted at Junior High School in Lhokseumawe. The subjects of this study were teachers, students, and parents, while the object of the research was the implementation of national values and local wisdom to be integrated into the learning process. The data analysis technique used is the interactive: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that the integration of national values and local wisdom in teaching leads to the development of students' character through habituation patterns and the creation of a conducive school environment. This process shapes students' attitudes and behaviors, resulting in students who possess academic abilities, skills, and noble character, all of which are beneficial to religion, the nation, and the state.

Abstract

The phenomenon of violence in the formation of nation-states in the 19th and 20th centuries, especially during the era of nationalism, had significant impacts on many countries, including Indonesia. This violence is linked to an official, exclusive, and elitist nationalism narrative, as seen in Aceh. The history of the "Cumbok Tragedy" in Aceh illustrates how nationalism can lead to violence. The impacts of conflict, such as in the Cumbok Tragedy, include infrastructure damage, security uncertainty, psychological effects, and social disruption. Development planning in East Aceh must consider rehabilitation, reintegration, and peace efforts to achieve effective and sustainable development. In the context of the Cumbok tragedy, the historical narrative that is written and often understood by the public originates from power and colonial control. Therefore, there is a need for a political movement to offer a new, more democratic, postcolonial meaning, bridging the sociocultural reconciliation movement. This research will be conducted in Aceh Regency, which is the epicenter of the conflict and the most distorted area in the history of the Cumbok Tragedy. A qualitative social approach with a case study method will be used to explore the real-life situation of the case. The research results on the Cumbok Tragedy in East Aceh reveal the complexity of history through in-depth narratives from the families of the victims, such as Teuku Saiful Anwar and Cut Anzar Hanum, who highlight the direct impacts and differing perspectives compared to the official historical version. The inaccuracies in the current historical writing have caused tensions, underscoring the importance of historical reconciliation. Experts, including Prof. Ismail Fahmi Arrauf Nasution, emphasize that honest and balanced disclosure, along with university involvement, is a crucial step to improving historical understanding and building sustainable peace in Aceh. Awareness of various perspectives and a commitment to reconciliation are key to healing past wounds and creating a more harmonious future.
