Jurnal Motivasi Pendidikan dan Bahasa merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian dan kajian konseptual yang berfokus pada motivasi dalam konteks pendidikan dan kebahasaan. Jurnal ini bertujuan menjadi wadah diseminasi ilmu pengetahuan dan praktik terbaik yang berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, pengajaran, dan pengembangan bahasa di berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Fokus Fokus utama jurnal ini meliputi: Motivasi belajar dan mengajar dalam pendidikan formal, nonformal, dan informal. Motivasi dalam pembelajaran bahasa, baik bahasa pertama, kedua, maupun bahasa asing. Psikologi pendidikan yang berkaitan dengan motivasi, minat, sikap, dan keterlibatan belajar. Inovasi dan strategi pembelajaran yang berdampak pada peningkatan motivasi peserta didik. Peran pendidik dan lingkungan belajar dalam membangun motivasi akademik dan kebahasaan. Abstract

Adulthood is a crucial time for preparing for old age. During this period, a person experiences physical, mental, and social changes that can impact psychological well-being in later life. Prior to writing this article, an outreach program was conducted with adults regarding the aging process and the importance of emotional preparation to better understand and prepare them for old age. Emotional preparation encompasses a person's ability to understand, control, and express feelings wisely. Inadequate emotional preparation can increase the risk of stress, anxiety, and loneliness in old age. This study aims to examine the role of emotional preparation in adulthood on psychological well-being in old age. The method used was a literature review. The results indicate that adults with e better ablegood emotional preparation ar to adapt to life's changes in old age. Therefore, strengthening emotional preparation in adulthood is crucial to supporting psychological well-being and a healthy aging process.

Abstract

This study examines how Grammarly AI helps students improve their writing and avoid plagiarism in digital learning. As more academic work is done online, students need quick and clear feedback to guide their revisions. This research focuses on students’ perceptions of Grammarly and how they respond to its feedback. A survey was conducted with 30 university students using Likert scale and open-ended questions. The results show that most students find Grammarly helpful for correcting grammar, improving clarity, and motivating them to revise their writing. Students also reported that the paraphrasing and similarity checking features help them maintain originality and understand academic integrity better. These findings are supported by the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which explains that students respond positively when a tool is useful and easy to use, and by feedback theory, which highlights how learners process corrective input. Overall, this study concludes that Grammarly functions not only as an error-correction tool but also as a learning support system that strengthens writing skills and promotes responsible writing practices in digital environments.

Abstract

Curiosity is a very important capital to start learning. Because, with curiosity, humans can dig up interesting information and tips so that they can gain broader insight. In this sophisticated era, it is easier for people to find the information they need. One media that is often used to access information is YouTube. There are many videos on YouTube that can provide interesting and quality information, one of which is Maudy Ayunda's video. This research aims to describe the forms of assertive speech acts contained in the booklist edition of Maudy Ayunda's YouTube channel. The approach used in this research is methodological and theoretical. The approach used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach and a pragmatic approach. The data collection method used in this research was the observation method, followed by the observation technique. The data analysis method in this research is the pragmatic subtype. The research results found that there were types of assertive speech acts including, namely, assertive speech acts stating 31 data, suggesting 11 data, boasting that no data was found, complaining about 5 data, and claiming 14 data.

Abstract

 This study aims to analyze the use of Google Translate in the process of learning English, highlighting its benefits, limitations, and impact on students’ learning quality. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, where data are obtained from various literature sources such as books, scholarly articles, and relevant online publications. The findings indicate that Google Translate is widely used by students as a tool to quickly and practically understand English texts. However, this high level of usage also leads to several issues, including the inaccuracy of translations in certain contexts, increased dependency on technology, and a limited understanding of language structure. Nevertheless, Google Translate still provides advantages in improving learning efficiency and access to global knowledge resources. Therefore, the use of this technology needs to be guided wisely so that it supports the learning process without reducing students’ cognitive engagement. This study is expected to contribute to a better understanding of the role of technology in language learning in the digital era and to serve as a reference for educators and students in utilizing technology more effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the inner conflict of the main character in the novel Efek Halo by Fransisca Intan using a literary psychology approach. The focus of this research is to analyze the forms of inner conflict experienced by the main character, Andra, based on Kurt Lewin’s field theory. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis technique. The data consist of excerpts from the novel that reflect the main character’s inner conflicts. Data collection techniques include library research and note-taking, while data analysis is conducted by identifying, classifying, and interpreting the data according to Kurt Lewin’s categories of conflict, namely approach–approach, avoidance–avoidance, and approach–avoidance conflicts. The results show that the inner conflict experienced by Andra is dominated by approach–avoidance conflict, a condition in which a single object simultaneously generates both attraction and rejection within the character. In addition, avoidance–avoidance conflict is also found in several events, where the character is faced with two equally undesirable choices that create psychological pressure. Meanwhile, approach–approach conflict is not found in the dynamics of the main character’s inner life. The dominance of approach–avoidance conflict indicates a strong sense of ambivalence within Andra, influenced by past trauma and ongoing emotional pressure, which ultimately affects psychological instability and difficulty in achieving self-integration.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the transformation of teachers’ discipline strategies from a punishment-based approach to an educational approach in fostering student discipline. The persistent issues of student discipline, such as low compliance with rules and lack of learning responsibility, indicate the need for more effective disciplinary strategies. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing various relevant scientific articles related to discipline strategies, the implementation of rewards and punishments, and positive discipline approaches in the school environment. The findings reveal a shift in discipline strategies from those emphasizing control through punishment to more educational and humanistic approaches. This approach focuses on the habituation of positive behavior, empathetic communication, and the provision of rewards to strengthen students’ motivation. However, punishment still plays a role as a learning tool when applied fairly, consistently, and proportionally. In addition, the success of fostering student discipline is influenced by teachers’ role modeling, firmness in enforcing rules, and a supportive school environment. This transformation indicates that teachers act not only as rule enforcers but also as facilitators who encourage the development of students’ internal awareness and responsibility. Therefore, the implementation of balanced and sustainable discipline strategies is essential to support an effective learning process.

Abstract

Education has a crucial role in improving the quality of human resources and shaping national character. The success of the education system depends greatly on the effectiveness of the teacher's role as the main implementer of learning who functions as an educator, guide, motivator and facilitator. This research aims to examine the functions and qualifications of teachers as support for educational success through the literature study method (library research) by analyzing various sources of scientific journals, books and relevant official documents. The analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis to interpret the data systematically. The results of the study show that the teacher's function includes integrated professional, humanitarian and societal dimensions. Professionally, teachers are responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating learning. Academic qualifications and mastery of four main competencies—pedagogical, professional, social, and personality—are vital indicators in determining the quality of education. However, implementation in the field still faces challenges such as gaps in mastery of information technology (ICT) and bureaucratic obstacles in the certification process. This research concludes that improving teacher quality through continuous education and effective policies is very necessary to create adaptive and competitive learning in the digital era

Abstract

The development of short video based social media, particularly TikTok, has led to significant changes in the digital behavior patterns of Generation Z. This study aims to analyze the role of data management within the TikTok system and its influence on user scrolling behavior. The method used was a qualitative approach using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) technique of various relevant journals and scientific articles. The result show that data management is the primary basis for developing TikTok’s algorithm, which generates personalized content on the For You Page (FYP) feature. This algorithm works by utilizing user interaction data, such as viewing duration, content preferences, and engagement levels, thus presenting content tailored to user interests. Furthermore, this behavior is influenced by psychological factors, such as the need for entertainment and instant gratification, as well as app design factors, such as the infinite scroll feature and ease of navigation. Consequently, despite the benefits of accessing information and entertainment, excessive use has the potential to cause negative effects, such as digital addiction and decreased concentration.

Abstract

This research is a literature analysis study aimed at identifying and synthesizing the role of Database Management Ststems (DBMS) in supporting the effectiveness of digital learning applications in higher education environments. The study sources include ten scientific articles published between 2011 and 2025, convering the topics of Academic Information Systems (SIAKAD), Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital based education administration, e- learning development, and database system optimization. The method used is a literature review with a content analysis approach and thematic synthesis of findings from various previous studies. The study result indicate that DBMS plays a central and multidimensional role in the digital education ecosystem, encompassing three main dimensions: (1) a technical function as an infrastructure for efficient data storage, management, and retrieval using DDL, DML, and DCL languages; (2) an administrative function in centrally and real- timely integrating attendance, assessment, academic reporting, and learning administration processes; and (3) a strategic function in supporting data drivendecision- making and encouraging student learning independence through the LMS. This study also identified ongoing implementations challenges, including limited technological infrastructure, low human resource competency in managing digital systems, and data security and integrity issues. The most commonly used DBMS in higher education contexts include MySQL, PosttgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, and SQLite. These findings confirm that DBMS optimization is not merely a technical necessity, but rather a strategic component of the sustainable digital transformations of higher education.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology have transformed trade patterns, particularly in online buying and selling activities through e-commerce platforms. The rapid growth of e-commerce has increased the volume of online transactions, creating new challenges in managing operational data, especially product return data. Product returns are an important aspect of customer service because they directly affect customer satisfaction, inventory management, and business performance. Therefore, effective and structured data management is essential to ensure that return processes run efficiently and accurately. This study aims to determine the role of database systems in managing product return data and to analyze their impact on operational efficiency in e-commerce activities. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study of Aulia Shop MSME. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of the return management process. The results indicate that the implementation of a database system significantly improves the management of product return data. The system accelerates data processing, minimizes recording errors, facilitates data retrieval, and simplifies the monitoring of returned products. In addition, database systems support the preparation of more organized, accurate, and systematic operational reports. Therefore, database systems play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, improving decision-making processes, and supporting sustainable business operations in e-commerce environments.
