Abstract

Exist an information technology hope to increase use of information literacy. In order for use of information literacy to improve well, the technology used must be able will be accepted and used properly by users. It hope that use of information technology can simplify information literacy activities in college libraries. There are still some differences in the problems that occur in earlier studies about use of information systems, so this study aims to decide how much use of university library information literacy using UTAUT model with descriptive quantitative method. The results of this study show that users are more likely will be interested in utilizing the college library information system for other things than using it for scientific literacy activities. In addition, the moderating effects of age, gender, experience also didn’t have a significant effect. Overall, this model can answer several problems in this study.

Abstract

Process of globalization has added pressure to smallholder palm oil in world palm oil producers countries. The globalization, however, create opportunities for small palm oil holders to benefit from it whenever they are able to collaborate proportionally with other actors. In order to do so, this study is aimed to elaborate the current value chain and typology of smallholders to establish the suitable collaboration schema.  The finding showed that although there is imperfect quality of role, the variety of actors involved make smallholders found a better role. The PTPN VIII Kertayaja (State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) should be able to gain benefit and opportunities from suggestion use of the collaboration with other actors within the value chain.  However, it is the role of SOE that act as state fiscal-revenue collector as well as maintaining status quo and having coercive power but it makes them complacent it and neglect to achieve sustainability role in empowering farmers. On the other hand, willingness to maximize the benefits created from the transaction has led head of village, private enterprises, collectors, sellers and transporters to find the most innovative way to help the small plantation owner to ease the challenges and maximize their roles in adding value to the chain.

Abstract

The level of satisfaction of patients in the ward emergency department Dr Slamet Garut Hospital in health services describes the quality of service in the place of health care. The objective of this Telaahan study is to know the relationship of nursing services with patient satisfaction in the room IGD RSU Dr. Slamet Garut. As for method, it used a descriptive correlational, with a accidental samplingtechnique, the number of samples 67 respondents, the data retrieval technique was carried out using questionnaires. The results showed that (56.7%) Respondents expressed poor nursing service and (86.8%) feel dissatisfied about the nursing service in the IGD room RSU Dr. Slamet Garut. This is because the waiting time and the nurse response is slow in providing service. Nursing services can be improved when supported by competent nursing resources, facilities and infrastructure that support and more quickly in conducting nursing actions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the criteria of the successful study period in higher education and its impact on study period policy. The study adopted a descriptive qualitative research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation in six study programs on the Faculty of Administrative Sciences Universitas Brawijaya. Interactive analysis model by Miles, Huberman & Saldana (2014) which consist of data collection, data display, data condensation, and verifying or conclusion drawing was utilized to analyze and present findings. The results showed that study period policy in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences Universitas Brawijaya has been carried out well and successfully. It can be seen from the existence of the main tasks and functions that are inherent in the organizational structure and the various real efforts that supported the policies that positively impacted in the student’s study period.

Abstract

The City Government of Malang through the Dinas Perpustakaan Umum dan Arsip Daerah Kota Malang through the LAPOBRA service seeks to create friendly services especially for tuna netra. Over the past 4 years, the quality of the services provided can already be assessed. The goal is to find out the services provided to persons with visual impairment have met their expectations or not. The method used is a qualitative approach; type of analytic descriptive research; and the focus of research is the adjustment between PERMENPANRB 14/2017 and SERVQUAL. Based on the findings, the competence of the implementers (competence); implementing behavior (assurance); Handling of complaints, suggestions and input as well as efforts to understand the needs of visitors who are blind (understanding/ knowing the customer), as well as facilities and infrastructure (tangible), are felt to be in accordance with the expectations of blind visitors. Negative results appear on the ease of being contacted and met (access), the cause is due to the lack of interaction and assistance by service providers.

Abstract

Provisions related to proportional taxes calculation for married filing jointly have already existed since 2008, according to Income Tax Law article 8 verse 2, which also stated specifically on regulation number  Per-30/PJ/2017. However, in its implementation nowadays,  these couple taxpayers are less concerned about the regulations, both on choosing to do the separate tax filing and the proportional calculation. The purpose of this research is  to conduct in-depth analysis about this phenomenon by evaluating the policies and analyzing the obstacles that might occur. The obstacles of the implementation in this research will be observed based on two sides, which are taxpayers and tax authorities side. The result shows that tax policies regarding separated married filing are less effective and efficient due to the considerable effort from tax authorities side related to the supervision of each wife and husband tax filling.

Abstract

The medium-term planning arrangements in Gianyar Regency Year 2018-2023 have adopted the integrated development planning system Geyer (2006: 1) whicheach phase corresponds to the stages in the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 86 of 2017. E-Planning plays a role in phase 0 (preparation) in collecting development data and information, phase 2 (strategy) during the submitting and verification of proposals in the development planning deliberations of the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan and phase 4 (integration) that is integrating the mission, goals, objectives, up to the regional program with the Regional Government Organization. This study aims to analyze the integrated development planning system through the implementation of e-planning in Gianyar Regency. This type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach was used in this study. This study also analyzes and describes the supporting and inhibiting factors that seem to be technical factors (ICT infrastructure, security, output and system features, SOPs, and technical training) and social/organization factors (commitment of leadership, work culture, communication and HR of implementing).

Abstract

Local development planning cannot be separated from the characteristics of the region. Central Tapanuli Regency is located surrounded by mountains, beaches and the sea, which makes it has a lot of tourism potential, such as the sea, beaches and nautical. The local government has also implemented supporting programs to develop its tourism potential which is expected to be able to add significant local income which is quite significant for the local economy. This study aims to determine the tourism development planning process and the effectiveness of tourism development planning in Central Tapanuli Regency. The research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Based on the research that has been done, the results of tourism development planning in Central Tapanuli Regency have not been effective, because some programs are not on target in accordance with the tourism potential they have. The results of monitoring and evaluation are not used as a guideline in determining the program of tourism development activities for the following year.

Abstract

Free Trade is important stage in increasing country’s exports and imports. One form of free trade is ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) which established in 1992 and has 10 member countries. In contrast, there are previous studies that state free trade can also have negative impacts on trade between countries. This study tries to analyze the relationship of AFTA on exports and imports of its member countries using data from World Bank period 1985 to 2015. The analysis uses random effect and dynamic panel model. Dynamic panel models are used to determine the short-run and long-run relationship of AFTA on export and import. The result shows that there are positive and significant effects of AFTA to exports and imports of ASEAN Member States (AMS). The result obtained on the long-run show a greater influence between AFTA and AMS international trade.

Abstract

In the current era of openness, the performance results of government institutions in Indonesia are of high concern to the public. For this reason, Niven (2003) emphasizes that it is time to manage performance in government institutions that can always translate the vision into outcomes to improve performance results by using Balanced Scorecard (BSC). But the planning of the performance in the perspective of balanced scorecard in BSN is still inconsistent so that the performance results cannot be seen in an ongoing manner every year. This study aims to analyze performance planning in a BSC perspective at BSN based on the Nine to Steps Success Balanced Scorecard theory from Rohm (2003). In addition, this study also identifies the constraints and supporting factors that influence the planning. The result is known that the planning of the performance in BSC perspective at BSN does not go through the stages of strategic initiative and automatitation so that it affects the performance.
