Abstract

This study aims to examine the meaning of Kidung Wargasari in the piodalan ritual and its function as a medium of Hindu theological education in Bali. The research employed a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The findings show that Kidung Wargasari functions not only as a ritual chant but also contains theological meanings related to bhakti, harmony of life, and the relationship between sekala and niskala. In addition, the chant serves as a medium of Hindu religious education by transmitting the values of tattwa, susila, and spirituality through ritual traditions. The study also found that modernization has reduced public understanding of the philosophical meanings of the chant. Therefore, preservation and reinterpretation efforts are needed to maintain the relevance of Kidung Wargasari in Balinese Hindu society.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of educational values in Hindu literature, particularly Itihasa and Purana, for Generation Z in the digital era. The study is motivated by the low level of understanding among young people toward the values contained in classical Hindu texts, which are often considered less relevant to modern life. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, supported by hermeneutic, educational axiology, and critical pedagogy approaches. Data were collected through document study and analyzed using content analysis and hermeneutic interpretation. The findings show that Itihasa and Purana contain important educational values such as dharma, satya, ahimsa, and bhakti, which are relevant for character building. However, Generation Z tends to see these texts as myths due to conventional and less contextual teaching methods. Therefore, hermeneutic reinterpretation and contextual pedagogy are needed to make these values more understandable and relevant to young people’s lives. This study confirms that the relevance of Itihasa and Purana depends on how the texts are interpreted and taught in educational practices.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine, analyze, and prove the partial effect of product reviews on purchase intention, the partial effect of product quality on purchase intention, and the simultaneous effect of product reviews and product quality on the purchase intention of Skintific skincare products among students at Campus II Banjarbaru, Universitas Achmad Yani Banjarmasin. The research variables are divided into three variables: product reviews (X1), product quality (X2), and purchase intention (Y). The type of research is quanti¬tative descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, literature review and dis¬tributing questionnaires. The population in this study consists of 87 students, with a sample size of 71 students. The analysis technique in this research uses multiple linear regression method. The results of the multiple linear regression are Y = 2.019 + 0.055 X1 + 0.740 X2 + e. Product reviews have no partial effect on purchase inten¬tion, as t-count < t-table, which is 0.380 < 1.994, and the significance value is 0.705. Product quality has a par¬tial effect on purchase intention, as t-count > t-table, which is 9.880 > 1.994, and the significance value is 0.000. Product reviews and product quality have a simultaneous effect on purchase intention, as F-count > F-table, which is 79.107 > 3.13, and the significance probability is < 0.05, which is 0.000. The adjusted R-squared value of 0.691 means that the ability of the Product Review variable (X1) and Product Quality variable (X2) can ex¬plain the Purchase Intention variable (Y) by 69.1%, while the remaining 30.9% is explained by other variables.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of Hindu religious education values within social media culture among Balinese Hindu youth. The development of social media has influenced how young people understand, practice, and express Hindu religious values in the digital era. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive-interpretative design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The findings show that social media has become a new space for Hindu religious education among Balinese Hindu youth. The values of tattwa, susila, and acara have changed in form and delivery according to the visual and interactive nature of digital culture. Social media provides opportunities to spread Hindu teachings in more creative and accessible ways. However, it also creates challenges such as superficial spiritual understanding, performative religiosity, and commodification of religious symbols. This study suggests that Hindu religious education needs adaptive and contextual approaches to remain relevant in the digital culture of the younger generation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internalization of Hindu Religious Education values among Generation Z in the era of digital disruption. The research employed a qualitative approach using a hermeneutic phenomenological design and cyber ethnography (netnography). Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and analysis of Generation Z Hindu digital activities in virtual spaces. Data analysis was conducted inductively through data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that digital media has become a new space for the internalization of Hindu Religious Education values. Generation Z tends to gain religious understanding through social media and digital platforms that are visual, interactive, and practical. This condition provides positive impacts in the form of easier access to Hindu religious knowledge, but it also creates challenges such as the superficiality of spirituality and religious image-building culture on social media. Values such as Tri Kaya Parisudha, Tat Twam Asi, and Karma Phala remain relevant as the foundation of digital ethics and responsible online behavior. This study also formulates the concept of “Hindu Virtual Spirituality” as an integration of Hindu spiritual values with modern digital culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the revitalization of Hindu ethical values (susila) as the foundation of character education amid the moral crisis of the digital generation. The development of digital technology has significantly transformed social life, particularly among young people, as reflected in increasing individualism, degradation of communication ethics, declining social empathy, and weakening moral and spiritual awareness. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive-interpretative design through library research. Data were collected from various scholarly sources, including books, journals, academic articles, and relevant documents related to character education, Hindu ethics, and digital culture. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively through data reduction, data presentation, and interpretative conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that Hindu ethical values such as Tri Kaya Parisudha, Tat Twam Asi, Ahimsa, and Dharma have strong relevance as the foundation of character education for the digital generation. The revitalization of Hindu ethical values can be implemented through the integration of ethical values in education, strengthening morality-based digital literacy, developing educational content on social media, and promoting exemplary conduct in social life. This study emphasizes that character education based on Hindu ethical values functions not only as an effort to preserve religious and cultural values but also as a transformational solution to address the moral crisis in modern digital society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of value disorientation in Hindu religious education among the younger generation through the concept of “tattwa without practice” in the digital era. The study is motivated by the tendency of Hindu youth to understand tattwa teachings conceptually but fail to implement these values in their daily lives. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive-critical design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies involving Hindu youth, Hindu religious education teachers, religious leaders, and community members. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the phenomenon of “tattwa without practice” is influenced by digital culture, weakened internalization of religious values, the dominance of cognitively oriented religious education, and the declining role of family and social environments in shaping the religious character of young people. Social media has transformed youth religiosity into a more symbolic, performative, and pragmatic form, causing Hindu values to be understood more as cultural identity than as moral and spiritual guidance. This study emphasizes that the revitalization of Hindu religious education should focus on strengthening the integration between tattwa, susila, and social praxis through contextual, reflective, and experiential learning approaches. Therefore, Hindu religious education is expected to produce a younger generation who not only understand religious teachings theoretically but are also able to implement dharmic values in social life within the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the phenomenon of symbolic piety in Hindu Religious Education in the digital era. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive-critical design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The findings show that social media has transformed the religiosity of Hindu youth into a more visual and performative form. Religious symbols such as rituals, traditional attire, and religious activities on social media are interpreted not only as expressions of spirituality but also as means of social imaging. This study also found that Hindu Religious Education still tends to be formalistic and ritualistic, thus not fully fostering students’ reflective spirituality. Therefore, strengthening Hindu Religious Education through contextual, reflective, and religious digital literacy approaches is necessary to build authentic and humanistic religiosity in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of Dharmasastra values in Hindu Religious Education to strengthen students’ character. This study used a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Dharmasastra values were implemented through classroom learning, school culture habituation, religious activities, and teacher role modeling. The values applied included satya (honesty), ahimsa (non-violence), dama (self-control), guru bhakti (respect for teachers), and swadharma (responsibility). Teachers used contextual learning, habituation, moral reflection, and Balinese local culture in the learning process. The implementation of these values had a positive impact on students’ character, such as improving discipline, responsibility, honesty, self-control, and students’ spiritual and social awareness. However, the implementation also faced challenges from social media and digital culture. This study concludes that Dharmasastra values play an important role in strengthening students’ character and need to be implemented continuously through cooperation between schools, families, and communities.
