Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to critically analyze the phenomenon of Islamophobia and its implications for da’wah (Islamic outreach) practices in Indonesia within the contemporary digital context. As a form of prejudice, stereotyping, and discrimination against Islam and Muslims, Islamophobia has not only thrived in the West but has also begun to manifest in the digital spaces of Indonesia and Southeast Asia through misinformation, media framing, and the polarization of religious identity. This study utilizes a qualitative approach with a library research design, enriched by participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted by combining discourse analysis (to examine the construction of Islamophobic narratives) and content analysis—to identify message patterns within da’wah materials and digital media. The results indicate that Islamophobia significantly impacts the effectiveness of da’wah, particularly by fostering audience resistance, decreasing public trust, and strengthening biases within the digital ecosystem. The study finds that effective da’wah strategies in responding to Islamophobia include constructing counter-narratives based on digital education, strengthening media literacy, implementing dialogic da’wah approaches, and developing interfaith digital movements. The research implications emphasize the importance of enhancing the digital literacy and cross-cultural communication capacity of da’wah practitioners, as well as the need for adaptive and responsive policies to address the spread of Islamophobic narratives in the digital public sphere.

Abstract

Conflict is an inseparable part of organizational dynamics, including within Islamic organizations characterized by the diverse traits of their members. This study aims to analyze conflict management practices in Islamic organizations by highlighting the implementation of Sharia principles as the primary foundation for dispute resolution. This research employs a literature review method, referencing accredited scientific sources from the last 5–10 years to ensure data validity and currency. The findings indicate that conflict should not necessarily be viewed as a threat but rather as an opportunity for growth, innovation, and the strengthening of ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood). Principles such as shura (consultation), ishlah (mediation/reconciliation), justice, and patience serve as the bedrock for building an organizational culture that is harmonious, fair, and sustainable. Unlike conventional conflict management, which focuses on efficiency and rapid resolution, the Islamic approach emphasizes harmony, substantive justice, and long-term blessings (barakah). Thus, Sharia-based conflict management fosters a productive, inclusive, and resilient work environment while reinforcing the unity and solidarity of the ummah. This research offers practical benefits for foundation managers, Islamic organization leaders, and the academic community in developing conflict management models aligned with divine values.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze product innovation in Sharia Non-Bank Financial Institutions (SNBFIs) in Indonesia, focusing on driving factors, regulatory challenges, and their implications for institutional performance and sustainability. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research design with content analysis techniques applied to various literary sources, including scientific journals, books, financial authority reports, and fatwas from the National Sharia Council-MUI. The findings indicate that product innovation in SNBFIs is driven by increasingly diverse customer needs, advancements in digital technology, and industrial competitive pressures. A prominent form of innovation is the development of Sharia fintech-based financing services, such as Sharia peer-to-peer lending and crowdfunding, which enable faster and more inclusive access to MSME financing. However, these innovations face various challenges, particularly regarding stringent Sharia regulations that require fatwa validation processes, a shortage of human resources with dual competencies (both in fiqh muamalah and technology), and limited funding for research and development. The implications of this study affirm that product innovation serves not only as a strategy to enhance competitiveness but also as an instrument to expand financial inclusion and strengthen the Sharia economic ecosystem. Therefore, adaptive policy support is required, such as the development of more flexible regulatory sandboxes, to foster innovations that remain aligned with Sharia principles and the objectives of maqasid al-sharia, specifically the attainment of collective welfare (falah).

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to examine in depth the relationship between campus culture and the moral transformation of Muslim students, using Pelita Bangsa University Bekasi as a case study. The research is motivated by the increasing phenomenon of moral degradation among students in the digital era, such as unethical behavior on social media, academic dishonesty, and the weakening internalization of religious values due to globalization and secularization. This condition underscores the urgent role of higher education institutions not only as centers for knowledge transfer but also as strategic spaces for character and moral formation. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design, combining library research and a limited case study. Informants were selected purposively, involving Muslim students across various semesters and those active in Islamic student organizations to comprehensively understand the dynamics of moral transformation. The findings indicate that campus culture plays a significant role in internalizing Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, and tolerance. However, challenges arise from student subculture resistance, the influence of a permissive digital culture, and the weak implementation of campus ethical policies. While Islamic Religious Education (PAI) courses can foster more reflective moral changes, they have not yet fully addressed the structural moral crisis. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating moral values into the curriculum, implementing a "hidden curriculum," and strengthening digital literacy and moral mentoring. In conclusion, student moral transformation requires a collaborative and sustainable approach to produce graduates with integrity and social responsibility.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the dynamics of Sharia clothing implementation within the context of the relationship between law and culture in Indonesia. The study employs a qualitative approach through a literature review of contemporary scientific sources from the 2020–2025 period. The focus of the study includes the interaction between Sharia normative provisions and social practices within the Indonesian Muslim fashion industry. The findings indicate that differing interpretations regarding the boundaries of awrah and Sharia standards have led to diverse clothing practices in society. Furthermore, a process of cultural negotiation occurs between universal Islamic values and local wisdom, giving birth to the distinct characteristics of Indonesian Muslim fashion. The Muslim fashion industry is also undergoing a transformation from a Sharia-compliance orientation toward a market-oriented approach, creating a dilemma between maintaining religious values and meeting economic demands. Additionally, digitalization and social media play a primary role in accelerating the transformation and reinterpretation of Sharia clothing, particularly among the younger generation. This research recommends the need for adaptive regulations, the development of credible Sharia certification standards, and an increase in public literacy to create a sustainable and contextual Muslim fashion ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze product innovation in Sharia Non-Bank Financial Institutions (SNBFIs) in Indonesia, including the mechanisms of driving factors, barriers, and their implications for the industry's competitiveness and sustainability. This study employs a qualitative approach with a library research design, analyzing various scientific literatures, industry reports, and relevant policy documents. The findings indicate that the driving mechanisms for innovation include increasingly diverse customer needs, industrial competitive pressures, and rapid advancements in digital technology. A prominent form of innovation identified is the development of Sharia micro-insurance (micro-takaful), which is affordable for low-income communities, as well as the utilization of Sharia crowdfunding platforms for MSME financing based on Sharia contracts. Conversely, product innovation faces several barriers, particularly regarding regulatory and resource aspects. The Sharia compliance process, which requires fatwa validation, is often time-consuming, compounded by a shortage of human resources proficient in both fiqh muamalah and technology, and limited funding for research and development. Furthermore, regulatory rigidity in the early stages of innovation poses a significant challenge for new product development. This study affirms that product innovation is a strategic necessity for SNBFIs to enhance competitiveness and expand Sharia financial inclusion. Therefore, synergy among institutions, regulators, and the digital ecosystem is required to create adaptive, inclusive, and Sharia-compliant innovations.
