Abstract

The role of Christian Religious Education (CRE) teachers is vital in shaping the Christian character of students within the school environment. This study explores the contributions of CRE teachers in fostering spiritual, moral, and social values rooted in Christian teachings. Through literature analysis and a descriptive approach, this research highlights how teachers become role models, facilitators of faith-based education, and mentors in guiding students toward living out Christian values in their daily lives. The findings indicate that CRE teachers contribute significantly to character development by integrating biblical principles into learning activities, building students' faith, and creating a school culture that upholds integrity, compassion, and responsibility. The study affirms the urgency of empowering CRE teachers to fulfill their spiritual and pedagogical duties effectively to shape a generation that reflects the image of Christ.

Abstract

The use of cognitive-based learning media is an innovative approach to enhancing students’ thinking processes. This type of media is designed to stimulate cognitive functions such as attention, perception, memory, and problem-solving, all of which play a crucial role in knowledge construction. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of implementing learning media that actively support students' mental engagement. Using a literature review method, data were gathered from various journals, books, and research reports related to cognitive learning theories and the use of educational media. The findings show that cognitive-based media such as interactive simulations, educational videos, and digital applications that require exploration and reflection help students understand concepts more deeply and critically. Additionally, such media foster active student participation, enhance information retention, and develop logical and systematic thinking patterns. Therefore, teachers must have a solid understanding of how to select and integrate appropriate learning media that align with students’ cognitive characteristics and learning needs.

Abstract

This article discusses the urgency of Christian Religious Education (PAK) as a means of developing students' Christian character in the digital era. The transformation of information technology has had a significant impact on the way young people think and act, including in terms of morality and spirituality. Challenges such as low interest in religious studies, the dominance of digital culture, and teachers' limited digital competencies hinder the effective implementation of PAK. Therefore, innovative learning strategies are needed, such as a project-based approach, faith reflection, and the wise use of technology to support the internalization of Christian values. Furthermore, synergy between schools, families, and churches is crucial in creating a holistic and consistent character-building ecosystem. With a holistic approach, PAK can be a transformative force in shaping a generation that is resilient in faith and character amidst the rapid flow of digitalization.

Abstract

Tolerant, fair, and respectful of diversity. This article aims to examine the concepts, basic principles, implementation strategies, and challenges and solutions in implementing multicultural education in schools. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this article highlights how multicultural education can be an effective means of building mutual respect in a pluralistic society. The study results indicate that integrating multicultural values into the curriculum, teacher training, and an inclusive school culture are key strategies that must be implemented. However, obstacles remain, such as limited teacher understanding, a lack of teaching materials, and social resistance. Therefore, progressive education policies and the support of all stakeholders are needed for optimal implementation of multicultural education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Religious Field Work Practice (PKLA) as a form of managerial innovation in Islamic education at MAN Bondowoso. The scope of this study includes the planning, implementation, and evaluation of PKLA activities systematically managed by the madrasah. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of the principal, PKLA supervisors, and students. The results indicate that PKLA at MAN Bondowoso functions not only as a routine religious program but also as an innovative medium for strengthening students' religious character and social competence. From a managerial perspective, the program is designed through cross-sector coordination, structured scheduling, and collaboration with external religious institutions. The evaluation is carried out in stages to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of the program. This study concludes that the implementation of PKLA at MAN Bondowoso represents a managerial innovation in Islamic education that significantly contributes to the development of students’ character and the enhancement of religious skills through practical experience.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of educational values derived from the history of Islamic civilization in shaping students' character at STAI Al-Ruzhan Tasikmalaya. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation of academic activities, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the implementation of these values is carried out systematically through stages of planning, organizing, implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The curriculum and course syllabi have been designed to instill values such as honesty, responsibility, tolerance, and a love of knowledge. The learning process is conducted reflectively and applicatively. Evaluation is carried out holistically, covering both cognitive and affective aspects. The study concludes that the course on the history of Islamic civilization plays a significant role in shaping students’ character and moral integrity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the presence of children whose early reading development has not developed well and the use of media that is less supportive during the learning process. The study aims to determine the Card Sort Learning Media on the Early Reading Development of Children Aged 5-6 Years in Al-Muttaqin II Kindergarten. This research is a quantitative approach research with an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was class B in Al-Muttaqin II which consisted of 20 people with 13 boys and 7 girls using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used was observation using instruments. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The data obtained were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test to see the differences in the treatments given. The results of this study showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that the Card Sort Learning Media has a significant influence on the Early Reading Development of children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher skills in implementing learning variations at the Pembina Lubuk Pakam State Kindergarten (TK Negeri Pembina). Learning variations are one of the important aspects in early childhood education, which can increase student motivation and involvement in the learning process. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teachers at Pembina Lubuk Pakam State Kindergarten have implemented various methods and strategies in implementing learning variations, such as the use of diverse media, changes in voice intonation, and the implementation of interactive and creative activities. However, there are several challenges faced, such as limited resources and facilities that affect the implementation of learning variations optimally. This study is expected to contribute to the development of teaching practices in kindergartens, as well as being a reference for managers in improving the quality of early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify differences in storytelling ability in early childhood aged 5-6 years through the application of finger puppet media in Salsa Kindergarten, Cinta Rakyat Village. The method used is a quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental Design, specifically the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, which is used to compare two groups. The population in this study was 40 children aged 5-6 years. The sample was selected randomly (random sampling), consisting of 20 children in class B1 (Sun Class) as the experimental group who received treatment, and 20 children in class B2 (Star Class) as the control group without treatment. Data were collected through observation, testing, and documentation systematically. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis and non-parametric statistics through the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in storytelling ability between children who used finger puppet media and those who did not. This is indicated by the significance value of the Mann-Whitney U test of 0.026 <0.05. Thus, finger puppet media has proven effective in improving the storytelling skills of early childhood children at Salsa Kindergarten, Cinta Rakyat Village.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the differences in children's early numeracy skills using traditional lumbung games at Pertiwi Paya Tusam Kindergarten. This research is a quantitative approach with an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was class B at Pertiwi Kindergarten, totaling 20 students with 13 boys and 7 girls using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used was observation using an instrument. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The data obtained were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test to see the differences in the treatments given. The results of this study show a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that the use of traditional barn games has a significant difference in the early numeracy skills of children aged 5-6 years.
