Abstract

This research aims to understand the implementation of digital parenting: a nurturing pattern for children aged 5-6 years in Mampang Village, Kotapinang District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency. The method used in this study is qualitative research. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses three stages: data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. The validity of the data is ensured through triangulation techniques. Based on the results of data analysis in this research, of the five parents who were the subjects of the study, the digital parenting styles applied by these parents were different. This study describes how parents set the time for giving gadgets to their children, the duration allowed for children to play with gadgets, and the content that may be watched by the children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the emotional behavior of children aged 5-6 years who come from toxic parents families in Bah Tobu Village, Dolok Batu Nanggar District, Simalungun Regency. This study is a qualitative research type. The subjects of this study were 5 parents and 5 children aged 5-6 years in Bah Tobu Village. The researchers collected data through observation and interviews. For data analysis in this study, three methods were employed: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data used in this study was triangulation. Based on the results of the study, of the five parents who were sampled, two parents had the types of Pageant Parents, Dismissive Parents, and Contemptous Parents. One had the types of Pageant Parents and Contemptous Parents, another had the types of Dismissive Parents and Contemptous Parents and the other one only had the type of Contemptous Parents. These three types of Toxic Parents have an impact on children's emotional behavior. So it can be related to the treatment of toxic Parents can be related to the emotional behavior of children aged 5-6 years in Bah Tobu Village, Dolok Batu Nanggar District, Simalungun Regency.

Abstract

Emotions of various types arise in self-awareness as responses to various things. Intense emotional feelings are often an important part of every individual's consciousness. Children need to develop ways to manage their emotions in order to build better social-emotional skills. This is important not only for normal children, but also for children with special needs. For children, this ability is the foundation for building social relationships, improving psychological well-being, and facing daily challenges. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often face obstacles in regulating their emotions, which can trigger challenging behaviours such as tantrums, aggression, or withdrawal. This condition requires targeted interventions to help children manage their emotions adaptively. Special needs teachers (GPK) not only play a role in academic aspects but also as facilitators of children's emotional development. This study aims to describe the stages of emotional regulation intervention carried out by special assistant teachers (GPK) on children with ASD at Homeschooling Sukacita Banjarmasin, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that emotional regulation intervention is carried out through five stages according to Gross, namely situation selection, situation modification, attention diversion, cognitive change, and response modulation. The implementation included breathing exercises, providing space to calm down, simple instructions, and individual strategies according to the child's needs. This intervention had a positive impact, as shown by a reduction in the frequency of tantrums, an increase in the ability to delay gratification, and an improvement in emotional expression skills. Supporting factors include parental involvement, the competence of special support teachers (GPK), and a conducive learning environment, while obstacles include limited resources, differences in children's characteristics, and unstable emotional conditions.

Abstract

This thesis was motivated by the discovery of impolite behavior among students, such as not greeting teachers when passing by them, as well as many students eating and drinking while walking or standing. This condition became a serious concern, considering that the madrasah was expected to instill values of politeness and other moral behaviors. In addition, the "Sumbang Duo Baleh Project," which was said to be a solution to this student behavior phenomenon, had not yet shown the expected results, as student behavior remained unchanged even after two meetings. This issue was important to study in order to understand how the program worked, the challenges faced during its implementation, and to what extent it was effective. The aim of this research was to explore the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Sumbang Duo Baleh Project and its impact on student character at MTsN 2 Kota Pariaman. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data sources were obtained from the head of the madrasah, curriculum deputy, project coordinator, project supervising teachers, students, modules, and activity documentation.The results of the study showed, first, that the planning of the Sumbang Duo Baleh Project began with considering the madrasah’s readiness to implement the Merdeka Curriculum. Then, the project planning process included designing modules and organizing the project team and their responsibilities. Second, the implementation of the Sumbang Duo Baleh Project activities took place both inside and outside the classroom, consisting of material delivery by teachers, talent performances, and drama presentations about Sumbang Duo Baleh. During implementation, several challenges and obstacles were encountered, such as teachers being challenged to explore relevant materials suitable to students' developmental stages, weather disturbances during outdoor activities, and schedule conflicts with grade IX classes, which caused technical issues like the use of sound systems. Third, the assessment in the Sumbang Duo Baleh Project was limited to the evaluation of the students’ drama performances and attitude assessments, which were carried out by observing students’ behavior both during and outside the project activities. Fourth, although after two meetings the students' behavior was still lacking in politeness, the implementation of the Sumbang Duo Baleh Project eventually had a positive impact on the improvement of student behavior. They became more aware of manners based on Minangkabau customs, showed greater respect for teachers and parents, and demonstrated more polite behavior in speech and dress.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the inner turmoil of the main character in the novel 00.00 A Pair of Wounds Ending in Sorrow by Ameylia Falensia. This novel provides inspiration, motivation, and a moral message for its readers. Data is presented in the form of quotations regarding the forms of inner turmoil, the factors causing it, and the impacts of it. This type of research is library research (literature review) using a qualitative approach. The research data sources include the main source, namely the novel 00.00 A Pair of Wounds that End in Sorrow by Ameylia Falensia, and supporting data, namely documentary data that is relevant to the research focus such as scientific journals, theses and other documents. The data analysis technique used in this research is library data collection, reading and recording and processing library collection materials without requiring field research. The results of the study concluded that: (1) Forms of inner turmoil can be described through basic emotions in the novel 00.00 A Pair of Wounds that End in Sorrow by Ameylia Falensia in the form of: a) happiness, b) anger, c) fear, d) sadness. (2) The factors that cause inner turmoil can be described in the novel 00.00 A Pair of Wounds that End in Sorrow by Ameylia Falensia, that the factors that occur occur between a character and themselves or outside of themselves, namely internal factors in the form of: a) success and failure, b) shame, c) guilt and regret. factors are a) love, and b) hate. (3) The impacts of the inner turmoil experienced by the main character in the novel 00.00 A Pair of Wounds Ending in Sorrow by Ameylia include: a) pain, b) disgust, c) pleasure.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using artificial intelligence (AI)-based worksheets on student engagement in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Sambas. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving two classes: one experimental class using AI-based worksheets and one control class using conventional methods. The research instruments consisted of pre-test, post-test, observation, and a student engagement questionnaire, analyzed using t-tests and PLS-SEM. The findings revealed that before the intervention, student engagement levels were relatively low in both the experimental class (average score 62.8) and the control class (57.7). After the implementation of AI-based worksheets, student engagement in the experimental class increased significantly to an average score of 86.8, while the control class only reached 61.63. The t-test results indicated a significant difference between the two groups. Moreover, the PLS-SEM analysis confirmed the validity and reliability of the instruments and reinforced the positive effect of AI-based worksheets on student engagement. In conclusion, AI-based Diffit worksheets significantly enhanced students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor engagement in PAI learning. These findings suggest that integrating AI technology into religious education can serve as an effective strategy to foster active student participation in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal: 1) the use of the Problem-Based Learning Model in Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) in eighth grade students at MTs. M. Basiuni Imran Sambas in the 2024-2025 academic year; 2) the supporting and inhibiting factors for the use of problem-based learning in Fiqh. This study employed a qualitative approach and field research. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, conclusions, and verification. Source triangulation and member checking were used to verify data validity. Based on the data analysis, the results of this study indicate that: (1) Teachers have systematically implemented the PBL model through five stages: contextual problem orientation, learning group organization, independent or group investigation, solution development and presentation, and learning evaluation and reflection. (2) Supporting factors for the use of the PBL model in Fiqh learning include adequate learning facilities, curriculum-aligned teaching materials, and the teacher's ability to design interactive learning. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include differences in student understanding, time constraints, and large class sizes. These findings confirm that the success of PBL is greatly influenced by teacher preparedness, student conditions, and a supportive learning environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the experiences of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support the learning process at SMP Negeri 7 Sambas, to describe the forms of its implementation, and to identify the benefits and challenges faced by teachers in its application.This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis used Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. To ensure data validity, this study applied source triangulation and member checking techniques.The results of the study indicate that IRE teachers at SMP Negeri 7 Sambas have positive experiences in using various AI applications such as ChatGPT, Quizizz AI, and Google Form AI Plugin, as these tools are considered helpful in enriching learning materials, simplifying test preparation, and enhancing students’ learning motivation.The implementation of AI in IRE learning includes the development of digital materials, creation of interactive assessments, online-based evaluations, and enrichment of teaching content through digital platforms.However, teachers also encountered several challenges, including limited technological skills, lack of training, inadequate school infrastructure, and concerns over reduced quality of spiritual interaction and personal guidance between teachers and students.This study concludes that the use of AI by IRE teachers has great potential to improve the quality of learning, provided that continuous training, adequate infrastructure, and integration of Islamic values are ensured so that technological use remains aligned with the goals of Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the planning, implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors of outdoor learning method in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning for fifth grade students at SDN 22 Sulur Medan. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that teachers planned the learning carefully, including learning objectives, media, and outdoor learning locations. The implementation was carried out in three stages: introduction, core activities such as Hajj simulation, and evaluation. Supporting factors included students’ enthusiasm, adequate facilities, and school environment, while inhibiting factors included weather conditions, students’ moods, and external disturbances. This study concludes that outdoor learning effectively improves students’ motivation and understanding in PAI learning.

Abstract

This article explains the various important elements that shape and determine the success of an educational process. Education is understood as a system that involves dynamic interactions between educators, learners, educational objectives, learning materials, methods, infrastructure, and the environment as supporting factors. These elements are systematically interconnected to achieve the desired transformation of knowledge, skills, and values. Educators act as facilitators and motivators, while learners become active subjects in the learning process. Educational objectives provide clear direction for learning outcomes, while materials and methods are the operational means of achieving these objectives. The learning environment, both physical and social, provides a context that reinforces the effectiveness of the educational process. By understanding the interrelationship between each element, the educational process can be designed in a more systematic, efficient, and results-oriented manner.
