Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly influenced the way young people think, behave, and interact. The rapid flow of information, exposure to global cultures, and the influence of social media often challenge traditional moral and ethical values. In this context, Christian faith plays a vital role as a strong spiritual and moral foundation for the younger generation. Christian teachings emphasize love, honesty, integrity, and responsibility as core principles for character development. Through Christian religious education in the family, church, and schools, young people can be guided to live according to biblical values and to discern between right and wrong. The inculcation of these values must be contextualized to remain relevant in addressing the challenges of the digital era, such as exposure to harmful content, ethical relativism, and identity confusion. This article aims to explore how Christian faith can serve as a transformative force in shaping the ethical and moral character of the younger generation, and to offer applicable strategies for parents, churches, and educational institutions to foster spiritually grounded and ethically responsible youth.

Abstract

This study discusses the strategies used by Islamic Education teachers in overcoming difficulties in reading the Quran among fifth-grade students. This study has three objectives, including the following: first, to analyse the planning of Islamic Education teachers in overcoming difficulties in reading the Quran among fifth-grade students at State Elementary School 17 Pimpinan Parit. Second, to analyse the implementation of PAI teachers' strategies in overcoming difficulties in reading the Quran among fifth-grade students at State Elementary School 17 Pimpinan Parit. Third, to analyse the implications of the use of PAI teachers' strategies in overcoming difficulties in reading the Quran among fifth-grade students at State Elementary School 17 Pimpinan Parit. Information obtained from Islamic Education (PAI) teachers at State Elementary School 17 Pimpinan Parit indicates that they have strategies that can help students who experience difficulties in reading the Quran. According to these teachers, most students still experience difficulties in reading the Quran. This is based on an interview with the Islamic Education Teacher (PAI) Habibah S.Pd.I, who said that previously many students still had difficulty reading the Quran due to a lack of guidance and encouragement from their parents at home to teach their children to read the Quran. Furthermore, the teacher revealed that the lack of guidance and supervision from parents regarding the development of their children's ability to read the Quran is one of the causes of their inability to read the Quran. In addition, there are other factors that underlie the students' difficulty in reading the Quran, such as the lack of Islamic Education (PAI) lessons at school and environmental factors, where their friends often invite them to play games, causing the students to be lazy to learn to read the Quran.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Cybernetic Theory in the learning process of Christian Religious Education (CRE) at the junior high school level. Cybernetic Theory emphasizes the role of feedback, control systems, and dynamic interaction between teacher, student, and learning environment. In this context, the teacher acts as a regulator who directs the flow of information and guides students through a process of continuous learning adjustment. This research highlights how feedback mechanisms such as reflection, evaluation, and teacher-student dialogue can improve student engagement and understanding in CRE classes. The study also examines the integration of technology as a medium for interactive learning, which aligns with cybernetic principles. Through qualitative analysis of observations and interviews, the findings indicate that the application of Cybernetic Theory encourages more responsive, participatory, and student-centered learning in CRE. This approach not only enhances cognitive and spiritual growth, but also cultivates ethical awareness and self-regulation among students. The study concludes that Cybernetic Theory offers a relevant and adaptive pedagogical framework for Christian education in the digital era, especially in addressing the developmental needs of adolescents in junior high schools.

Abstract

The role of citizenship education is to develop citizens, especially the nation's next generation, which is beneficial for the life of the nation and state. Citizenship education for the nation's next generation is very important to raise awareness of defending the country and increase the feeling of love for the country. Using Qualitative Research Types and Approaches. Data collection techniques use interviews and observation. This technique is used to obtain significant and appropriate data. Thus, the results of this research can be concluded that the role of Citizenship Education on student morals. The results of this research aim to increase insight into how to apply Citizenship Education learning procedures in improving student morale, as well as broadening teacher insight in educating and creating good student character and morals.

Abstract

Development of E-Modules Assisted by Heyzine Flipbook in Flat Buildings Material at Elementary School. This study uses a Research and Development (RnD) approach. The research subjects were class IV-A students of Police 1 State Elementary School in Bogor City consisting of 22 students, the research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This development research uses the ADDIE method which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the e-module assisted by heyzine flipbook in flat building material in this study is proven to be valid, interesting, easy to use and feasible to apply as a learning tool.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a difference in vocabulary mastery of children age 5-6 years through traditional ABC five basic games in ABA 01 Kindergarten Medan. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method in the from of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this study was class B Khadijah with 14 children. The tool used for data collection was an observation sheet. Before conducting hypothesis analysi using the paired sample T-test, a normality test was first conducted using the Shapiro Wilk statistical test. From the results of the hypothesis test analysis of the pretest and posttest data on children’s vocabulary mastery, the data results were 0.000. So it can be stated that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest data on the vocabulary mastery of children aged 5-6 years through the five basic ABC games at ABA 01 Medan Kindergarten.

Abstract

This study is a qualitative study that aims to analyze the creativity of children aged 5-6 years in dance learning at TK Snto Thomas 2. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with research subjects consisting of 2  children aged 5-6 years. The indicators studied include the ability to move in expressing imagination, the ability to move in mastering space, the ability to move in responding to sound/music. The findings of the study indicate that overall, the use of dance learning has a positive impact on children's creativity, especially on the ability to move in expressing imagination. This indicator is proven to have the most significant influence because through the dance learning that is carried out, children can train their imagination with dance movements according to the theme, story or atmosphere of the music. This process allows children to more easily express their imagination and creativity in dancing. In this dance activity, a conducive learning environment, varied teaching methods, and appropriate stimulation from teachers are the main factors that support the emergence of children's creativity. This study concludes that dance learning is very effective in increasing children's creativity, especially in dance learning.

Abstract

The decline in leadership traits such as wisdom, authority, and responsibility has become a critical issue in modern society, especially amidst the rise of bullying, weak character education, and the lack of exemplary leadership figures. This study explores the Topeng Tumenggung dance performance as an educational and transformational medium for cultivating noble leadership values. More than mere entertainment, the Topeng Tumenggung dance is a symbolic representation of ethical and moral values embedded in the local culture of Indramayu. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation at the Mimi Rasinah dance studio. The findings reveal that the character of Tumenggung—rich in attributes of dignity, wisdom, and responsibility—is effectively conveyed through expressive movements, mask usage, and performance narratives. This traditional dance has proven to positively influence character development among both performers and audiences, particularly the younger generation. Therefore, traditional performing arts such as Topeng Tumenggung possess great potential as alternative strategies for character education, grounded in local culture and capable of deeply engaging the affective dimension.

Abstract

The problems in this study are (1) The use of the environment is very minimal in the process of helping children learn, (2) Rarely utilizing real objects in the use of learning media, (3) Carrying out outdoor activities but teachers usually only focus on the development of gross motor skills. This study aims to see the differences in naturalistic intelligence in children aged 5-6 years using the use of the school environment at Yuzai Harapan Kindergarten, Sei Kopas Village. The method used in this study is an experiment, involving 36 children as samples. The tool used for data collection is using an observation sheet. Hypothesis testing with a paired sample T-test is preceded by a normality test carried out using the Shapiro Wilk statistical technique. The findings from the analysis of the hypothesis test of pretest and posttest data on children's naturalistic abilities produced data of 0.000. The data has a lower value compared to the significance level of 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest data related to the naturalistic abilities of children aged 5-6 years through the use of the school environment at Yuzai Harapan Kindergarten, Sei Kopas Village.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between playing music and creative thinking skills in early childhood (Research in Group B RA Al-Kautsar, Panyileukan District, Bandung City). This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational descriptive method, with two variables, namely Playing Music and Early Childhood Creative Thinking Ability, the data collection technique carried out is using questionnaires. The respondents in this study were 13 students in group B at RA Al-Kautsar, Panyileukan District, Bandung City. The data analysis carried out was in the form of research instrument tests (validity tests and reliability tests), partial analysis per indicator, prerequisite tests (normality tests and linearity tests), and hypothesis tests (correlation tests, determination coefficient tests). The results of the study showed that the relationship between Playing Music and Creative Thinking Ability in Group B RA Al-Kautsar, Panyileukan District, Bandung City was included in the category of positive and significant relationships. It is evidenced by the value of the partial analysis of the Happiness Indicator 3.46, Student Attraction 3.54, Student Attention 3.56 and Student Engagement 3.56 from the Interval of 3.1 – 4.00, and also supported by the Partial Analysis of the Fluency Indicator 3.62, Flexibility 3.59, Authenticity 3.49, Elaboration 3.44 from the Interval 3.6 – 4.00, as well as a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a Pearson correlation value of 0.976 which is included in the category of strong correlation and does not have negative properties. In addition, based on the results of the R Square test (determination coefficient), a result of 0.952 was obtained which showed that the contribution of the independent variable (playing music) to the dependent variable (creative thinking ability) was 95.2%.
