Abstract

This article investigates the intersection of literature and tourism as multidimensional avenues for psychological healing, educational growth, and cultural continuity. Drawing on a multidisciplinary review of studies published between 2010 and 2025, it analyzes bibliotherapy and healing tourism through the lenses of psychology, education, and cultural studies. Literature, particularly in the form of bibliotherapy, fosters catharsis, emotional regulation, and resilience by allowing readers to process trauma and reframe personal experiences. Tourism, especially wellness and cultural tourism, provides embodied experiences of renewal and identity reformation through intercultural encounters, heritage rituals, and narrative journeys. When combined, literature and tourism function as complementary narrative pathways inner journeys through texts and outer journeys through travel that cultivate empathy, reinforce cultural identity, and enhance socio-emotional learning. The study argues for integrating these modalities into interdisciplinary practices that connect mental health, education, and cultural preservation, offering a holistic model of well-being adaptable to diverse global and local contexts.

Abstract

This article examines the social and cultural history of Indonesia by tracing the dynamic relationship between identity, tradition, and transformation from the colonial period to the present. Using a multidisciplinary historiographical approach, it analyzes literature, oral traditions, and cultural practices that reveal Indonesia’s diverse historical trajectory. The discussion highlights how colonial encounters restructured social organization while encouraging hybrid cultural forms; how oral traditions and ritual performances safeguarded linguistic and communal identities; and how modernization, urbanization, and globalization have introduced both opportunities and tensions in maintaining heritage. Religion emerges as a unifying force that reinforces solidarity across Indonesia’s plural society, while collective memory and cultural nationalism continue to negotiate the balance between national unity and regional diversity. By foregrounding these cultural dimensions, the study demonstrates that Indonesia’s historical narrative is not merely political or economic but deeply rooted in lived experiences, enabling the nation to preserve and adapt its identity in an era of constant change.

Abstract

This article explores the role of literature as a medium of healing from psychological, educational, and cultural perspectives. Literature, traditionally valued for its aesthetic qualities, has increasingly been recognized for its thera peutic functions. Through bibliotherapy and narrative engagement, literature enables individuals to experience catharsis, manage stress, and foster resilience. In educational contexts, literary texts enhance emotional intelligence, empathy, and character development, providing preventive strategies against psychological challenges among students. Meanwhile, cultural traditions such as folklore, myths, and oral narratives serve as collective healing mechanisms that reinforce identity and restore social harmony. Using a qualitative library research method and hermeneutic-critical analysis, this study demonstrates that literature functions as a holistic healing medium that bridges personal, educational, and cultural dimensions. The findings highlight the need for greater integration of literature into psychological practice, educational curricula, and cultural preservation efforts to promote individual and communal well-being in the modern era.

Abstract

The growing intersection between linguistics and law has given rise to the development of forensic linguistics as a distinct and impactful field of study. As legal systems increasingly rely on linguistic evidence to resolve disputes, clarify ambiguities, and identify authorship, forensic linguistics plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between language science and judicial practice. This paper explores the theoretical and practical dimensions of forensic linguistics, focusing on its application in judicial contexts such as authorship attribution, discourse analysis, interpretation of legal texts, and the detection of deceptive or manipulative language. Through an integrative analysis of scholarly contributions and real-world case studies, this article argues that forensic linguistics not only enhances the fairness and accuracy of legal processes but also reinforces the democratic principle of access to justice. The findings highlight that effective collaboration between linguists and legal practitioners is essential to maximize the potential of linguistic expertise in addressing complex judicial challenges.

Abstract

The 21st century requires students to master critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills, which cannot be separated from teachers' digital literacy as learning facilitators. This study aims to analyze the role of elementary school teachers' digital literacy in improving students' 21st-century skills. The method used is quantitative with a survey approach to elementary school teachers who have experience in using digital technology in the classroom. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using SmartPLS-assisted Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that teachers' digital literacy has a significant and positive effect on all dimensions of 21st-century skills, with the greatest effect on creativity (β = 0.62, p < 0.001), followed by communication (β = 0.55, p < 0.001), collaboration (β = 0.48, p = 0.002), and critical thinking (β = 0.41, p = 0.004). These findings confirm that teachers' digital literacy is not limited to technical competence, but also serves as a pedagogical resource for designing innovative learning. However, the descriptive results show that collaboration and critical thinking are still at a moderate level, requiring more targeted instructional strategies. This study concludes that improving teachers' digital literacy must be accompanied by strengthening technology-based pedagogical strategies so that students' 21st-century skills can develop comprehensively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in realizing personalized learning, highlighting the opportunities, challenges, and ethical implications associated with it. The research approach uses a qualitative method through a literature review that examines various scientific sources such as reputable journals, UNESCO reports, and educational policies related to AI. The study results indicate that GenAI has the potential to revolutionize the education system by creating adaptive, interactive, and individual-centered learning experiences. However, the integration of this technology faces structural obstacles in the form of a digital divide, low technological literacy, and weak ethical governance in its implementation. Legal and ethical aspects are crucial dimensions to ensure algorithmic transparency, data protection, and fair access for all students. Therefore, an educational policy oriented towards the principles of responsible AI is needed, accompanied by increased digital and ethical literacy for educators and students. This study emphasizes that the use of AI in education must be directed as an instrument of human empowerment, not a replacement for the role of educators, thus creating an inclusive, reflective, and equitable learning system in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social inequalities arising from the digital economic transformation in urban areas, focusing on aspects of access, opportunity, and social justice. Using a qualitative approach based on literature, this study examines various scientific sources discussing the digital divide phenomenon, shifts in economic structure, and their implications for social welfare. The results of the study indicate that the development of the digital economy in large cities is not fully inclusive, as significant gaps remain in terms of access to technology, digital literacy, and the adaptability of lower-middle-class communities. This phenomenon demonstrates a new reproduction of increasingly complex social inequality, where highly educated groups with technological capital gain greater benefits from the digital economic system. Furthermore, the emergence of the gig economy creates new forms of job instability and social uncertainty among digital workers. This study emphasizes the importance of public policies that emphasize social justice, equitable distribution of digital infrastructure, and strengthening technological literacy as strategic steps to realize an inclusive and sustainable digital economy. Thus, digital transformation needs to be directed not only at economic efficiency, but also at social welfare and equal opportunities for all levels of urban society
