Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) on the stock prices of companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) for the 2021–2024 period. This study uses secondary data in the form of annual financial reports obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The study population consists of 16 companies consistently listed on the JII during the study period. The sampling technique was carried out using a purposive sampling method, resulting in 64 observational data. The analysis method used is panel data regression with the help of the EViews 12 application. The Chow and Hausman tests indicate that the appropriate model is the Random Effect Model (REM). The results show that the ROA variable has a positive and significant effect on stock prices. Meanwhile, the CR, DER, and TATO variables do not have a significant effect on stock prices. The simultaneous test (F test) shows that ROA, CR, DER, and TATO together have a significant effect on JII stock prices.

Abstract

One of the important muamalah activities in the daily lives of Muslims is buying and selling. Islam provides clear and strong guidelines regarding the principles to be followed in every transaction involving buying and selling, as outlined in the Quran and Hadith. The views of the commentators regarding buying and selling in Surah An-Nisa, verse 29, are interesting to examine. Why does Allah refer to the parable of the Arab society of ignorance in the past? It is possible that this parable represents a reality that exists and remains unchanged today. Therefore, it is crucial that Allah discusses buying and selling and its status. Buying and selling transactions truly play a vital role in human life. They provide a means for people to meet each other's needs. The existence of buying and selling activities also demonstrates that humans are social creatures who require the involvement of other humans to fulfill their needs. Nowadays, the buying and selling of goods in sacks is commonplace in society. This system, in which prospective buyers cannot directly inspect the condition and quality of the goods they wish to purchase, raises questions regarding their validity under Sharia law. The purpose of this study is to analyze the compliance of these transactions with the principles of Sharia law, particularly regarding the contract, honesty, and willingness of both parties.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of the prohibition of riba in QS. Al-Baqarah verses 275–279 and examine its relevance to the practice of Islamic finance in Indonesia. The focus of the study is directed toward understanding the meaning of riba according to classical and contemporary tafsir scholars, the theological foundation of its prohibition, and the implementation of anti-riba principles within the modern Islamic financial system. The research also seeks to explain how Qur’anic values are translated into regulations, financial products, and operational mechanisms of Islamic financial institutions in Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative library-based method. Data were collected through the review of Qur’anic verses, classical and modern tafsir works, Islamic economic literature, and Islamic finance regulations such as DSN-MUI fatwas and OJK guidelines. The data were analyzed using a descriptive-analytical approach to identify the relationship between the concept of riba prohibition and the practices of Islamic finance. The findings indicate that riba is understood as an additional charge required beyond the loan principal without productive activity, which leads to injustice and exploitation. Tafsir scholars affirm that the prohibition of riba aims to uphold economic balance and fairness. The study also reveals that anti-riba principles have been practically implemented in Indonesia’s Islamic financial system through the use of permissible contractual structures, profit-sharing mechanisms, asset-based financing, and Islamic capital market instruments such as sukuk. The study concludes that the prohibition of riba is not only theological in nature but also highly relevant in practice. These Qur’anic principles have successfully become the foundation for the development of a more just, transparent, and welfare-oriented Islamic financial system

Abstract

The development of e-wallets, mobile banking, fintech, and paylater features facilitate transactions and expand consumption choices for Generation Z students. This study aims to (1) describe the socioeconomic characteristics of parents of Generation Z students in Jambi City, (2) analyze the influence of digital financial literacy on student consumption expenditure, and (3) examine the influence of parents' socioeconomic conditions on student consumption expenditure. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method and primary data through questionnaires on 156 respondents. The variables of digital financial literacy (X1) and parents' socioeconomic conditions (X2) were measured using the Guttman scale (1/0), while student consumption expenditure (Y) was measured on a ratio scale. The analysis was carried out through validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficients of determination. The results showed that digital financial literacy had a positive and significant effect on student consumption expenditure, while parents' socioeconomic conditions did not have a significant effect partially. However, both variables simultaneously had a significant effect on consumption expenditure with a very high model explanatory power. This finding confirms that in the context of Generation Z students, the intensity and ease of digital transactions are more dominant factors in explaining variations in spending than family background

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of employee work discipline at the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA) of Jambi Province. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation with informants consisting of leaders and employees of BRIDA Jambi Province. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, as well as data validity testing using source triangulation. The results of the study indicate that employee work discipline at BRIDA Jambi Province is quite good, but not yet fully optimal. This is evident from several indicators of work discipline, namely attendance, compliance with work regulations, compliance with work standards, level of alertness, and work ethics. There are still employees who arrive late, leave after work hours, and do not comply with established regulations and procedures. However, some employees have demonstrated a fairly good work ethic and responsibility in carrying out their duties. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen inherent supervision (WASKAT), firm leadership, and continuous coaching to improve employee work discipline at BRIDA Jambi Province
