Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students' ability to write scientific papers systematically and critically, as well as foster literacy awareness in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) which is full of technological conveniences. Today's students tend to take advantage of technology instantly without understanding the correct academic rules. Therefore, this mentoring is designed to equip students with basic understanding and skills in writing scientific papers that are in accordance with academic standards. The method used in this activity is participatory training through lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice. The activity was carried out in several sessions, starting from the introduction of academic literacy, the structure of scientific papers, to the practice of writing and revising writing. The results of this activity showed that participants experienced an increased understanding of the structure of scientific writing and were more confident in compiling scientific papers independently. In addition, students are also becoming more critical in using AI-based technologies, such as ChatGPT, ethically and responsibly in the writing process. The suggestion from this activity is the need for the sustainability of mentoring programs with a more intensive mentoring model, as well as the integration of academic literacy in the higher education curriculum so that students not only master technology, but also have critical thinking and strong literacy skills.

Abstract

This community service aims to strengthen online teaching skills and professional ethics among students of the English Education Department at IAIN Palangka Raya, particularly within the Microteaching practice (Praktik Mengajar I). Many students still lack a clear understanding of ethical standards in online learning and have limited experience teaching via digital platforms. In the context of 21st-century education, online teaching competencies are essential complements to conventional pedagogical skills. The practice employed mentoring and simulation methods. Mentoring was conducted through direct supervision during online teaching practices, while simulations were used to train students in responding to realistic virtual teaching scenarios. The activity was carried out in two stages: delivery of case-based materials on teaching ethics through interactive discussions, and 15-minute online teaching practices by each student, followed by feedback and reflection sessions. The results indicated active student participation in discussions and a developing ability to design and deliver online instruction in a communicative manner. This program contributes to equipping future English teachers with pedagogical readiness relevant to the challenges of distance education in the digital era

Abstract

Sengketa waris merupakan salah satu persoalan hukum yang paling sering menimbulkan konflik dalam keluarga. Perselisihan biasanya disebabkan oleh ketidaktahuan ahli waris mengenai ketentuan hukum kewarisan, baik dalam hukum Islam maupun hukum positif Indonesia. Penyuluhan hukum waris menjadi instrumen preventif yang bertujuan memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat sehingga dapat meminimalisasi potensi perselisihan. Jurnal ini mengkaji urgensi penyuluhan hukum waris, dengan metode pendekatan normative-empiris yang diperkuat melalui analisis kasus, serta dampaknya dalam menjaga keharmonisan keluarga

Abstract

This community service program aimed to develop the professionalism of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers through mentoring based on the values of honesty and exemplary conduct at SDN Kemiri Sewu 1 Pandaan, Pasuruan. The background of this activity stems from the weak internalization of honesty values in PAI learning practices and the need for a teacher development model that systematically integrates moral and spiritual dimensions. The program employed a qualitative approach with a participatory case study design, encompassing stages of needs assessment, reflective training, value-based microteaching, and collaborative evaluation. The results show a significant improvement in teachers’ ethical and professional awareness, as indicated by consistent honesty, openness in reflection, and their ability to model moral integrity within the school environment. Religious habituation activities such as congregational dhuha prayer, Qur’anic recitation, and daily prayers effectively internalized honesty as a form of spiritual consciousness. This program contributes to strengthening PAI teachers’ professionalism and fostering a character-based school culture, recommending the development of a sustainable mentoring model grounded in honesty and exemplary conduct as a strategic framework for Islamic teacher professional development at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in writing scientific articles at University of KH. Mukhtar Syafaat , an Islamic Religious University (PTKI) that is adapting to digitalization. The background of the study is low AI literacy, a gap in understanding academic ethics, and a tendency to misuse AI that threatens the integrity and originality of scientific works. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves lecturers and students through interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), observations, and pre-post questionnaires to map practices, perceptions, and constraints. The data were analyzed with the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results of the study show that the training and mentoring program in the Master of Service Candidate (KMM) scheme has succeeded in improving the ability of participants to systematically compile article structures, understand the role of AI as a tool, and apply ethics in the use of AI. The utilization of AI platforms such as DeepSeek, Julius, and Jeenni AI has proven to be effective in speeding up brainstorming, improving grammar, and improving writing consistency without neglecting the user's critical analysis responsibilities. Program outputs in the form of scientific articles, educational videos, and activity reports show improved quality and originality. This research produced novelty in the form of an ethical guide design that integrates technical competence, Islamic academic ethics, and the value of pesantren for the use of AI in scientific writing. These findings contribute to the development of operational standards that can be replicated in other pesantren-based universities

Abstract

Immigration public services require digital innovation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service transparency. The Eazy Passport service at the Class I Non-TPI Immigration Office of Pati has been managed through a manual registration process using formal letters, resulting in administrative inefficiencies, data entry errors, and difficulties in service scheduling. This community service activity aims to design and implement an integrated web-based registration and scheduling system for the Eazy Passport service. The implementation stages included needs analysis, system design, web application development, and system testing. The results show that the developed system simplifies the registration process for applicants, reduces administrative workload for immigration officers, improves data organization, and supports more structured and transparent service scheduling. The system provides a practical digital solution that contributes to enhancing the quality and efficiency of immigration public services.

Abstract

Sertifikasi halal produk UMKM merupakan salah satu strategi untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen, menambah nilai, memperluas akses pasar, dan memperkuat daya saing produk lokal. Namun, sebagian besar UMKM masih menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam proses sertifikasi halal, termasuk keterbatasan literasi tentang produk dan peraturan halal, kurangnya pemahaman tentang Sistem Penjaminan Halal (SJH), tidak tersedianya dokumen legalitas usaha seperti Nomor Identifikasi Usaha (NPWP), dan kurangnya kemampuan untuk mengidentifikasi bahan-bahan penting dan proses produksi yang memenuhi standar halal. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesiapan dan kemandirian UMKM pangan dalam memperoleh sertifikasi halal melalui program bantuan yang meliputi konfirmasi kesediaan untuk mendaftar sertifikasi halal, fasilitasi pembuatan NPWP, pelatihan tentang prosedur produksi halal, dan bantuan sesuai dengan standar Badan Penjaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH). Metode kegiatan disusun dalam beberapa tahapan utama: (1) identifikasi dan penilaian kebutuhan UMKM pangan; (2) penyebaran informasi tentang peraturan sertifikasi halal dan konfirmasi kesediaan pendaftaran; (3) memfasilitasi legalitas usaha melalui pembuatan NIB secara online; (4) pelatihan dan bantuan teknis dalam implementasi PPH, termasuk identifikasi bahan-bahan penting, manajemen fasilitas produksi, dan dokumentasi SJH; (5) bantuan dalam pengisian dokumen di platform SiHalal. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan evaluasi perkembangan UMKM selama proses bantuan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman pelaku usaha tentang bahan-bahan halal, proses sertifikasi, dan implementasi standar produksi halal. Sebanyak empat UMKM yang menerima bantuan berhasil memperoleh NIB dan sertifikasi halal. Selain itu, terdapat perubahan positif dalam manajemen produksi, terutama dalam hal higiene dan ketertelusuran bahan-bahan halal. Peningkatan kapasitas ini terbukti memperkuat kepercayaan konsumen dan membuka peluang bagi UMKM untuk memasuki pasar yang lebih luas. Program pendampingan ini menekankan pentingnya intervensi berbasis pendidikan dan fasilitasi hukum dalam mendukung kesiapan UMKM untuk sertifikasi halal, sekaligus memberikan kontribusi signifikan untuk memperkuat daya saing produk pangan lokal.

Abstract

This research aims to strengthen the community's literacy culture while improving technical skills in the use of home plant medicines through the application of irrigation techniques in accordance with environmental conditions, especially in the 'Aisyiyah Gegerbitung Community, Sukabumi Regency. The focus of the research is directed at strengthening the cultural literacy of home plant medicine through the use of ancient Sundanese manuscripts as a source of traditional knowledge, as well as the application of appropriate technology in the form of simple drip irrigation to overcome limited air availability. The integration between cultural literacy and simple technology is seen as a contextual and sustainable community empowerment strategy. The research method uses a descriptive-qualitative approach with a participatory-based community service design. Partner communities are actively involved in all stages of activities, starting from problem identification, program planning, implementation of literacy activities and technical training, to evaluation of results. Data was collected through participatory observation, group discussions, and reflection with the community. The results of the study show that strengthening cultural literacy based on ancient Sundanese manuscripts increases public understanding, appreciative attitudes, and confidence in the knowledge of home medicinal plants. The application of the drip technique has been proven to increase the efficiency of water use and the success of medicinal plant care in the yard of the house. The integration of these two approaches contributes to increasing family health independence, strengthening the role of women as cultural preservation agents, and the formation of more sustainable resource utilization practices.

Abstract

Local potential-based entrepreneurship is a strategic approach to enhancing community economic independence, particularly in rural areas. One underutilized resource is coconut shell waste, which can be processed into charcoal briquettes as an environmentally friendly alternative energy source with economic value. This study aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial capacity of PKK women through training in charcoal briquette production based on local resources in Dempo Timur Village. The research employed a qualitative descriptive design with a participatory approach involving the community in problem identification, program planning, training implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and technical skills, covering all production stages from carbonization to packaging. In addition, there was a transformation in participants’ mindset from consumers to producers with entrepreneurial orientation. The program also enhanced participants’ confidence and active engagement. Therefore, this study contributes to strengthening sustainable local economic development based on local resource utilization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses dan dampak pemberdayaan anggota melalui pelatihan kewirausahaan dasar di Cabang Pakong Pusat Pemberdayaan dan Rehabilitasi Masyarakat (PSHT). Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemandirian ekonomi anggota karena keterbatasan keterampilan kewirausahaan, akses informasi, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus dan pendekatan partisipatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan kewirausahaan meningkatkan keterampilan peserta dalam manajemen bisnis, pemasaran, dan manajemen keuangan. Lebih lanjut, pola pikir peserta berubah, menjadi lebih percaya diri, berorientasi pada peluang, dan berani mengambil risiko bisnis. Program ini juga menghasilkan peningkatan kemandirian ekonomi dan penguatan modal sosial melalui kolaborasi dan jaringan bisnis antar anggota. Namun, beberapa kendala muncul, seperti keterbatasan waktu pelatihan dan penggunaan teknologi digital yang kurang optimal. Secara keseluruhan, program pemberdayaan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas dan kemandirian ekonomi anggota secara berkelanjutan.
