Abstract

Mining is known as a high risk industry with a high accident rate. However, there is a dearth of materials that aim to hide and understand mining accident research trends and current scenarios related to this topic. Therefore, this systematic assessment aims to investigate research trends in mining accidents. By applying the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method, a systematic literature assessment (SLR) identified 57 cases related to mining accident issues from 2015 to 2019 from the ScienceDirect and Scopus databases. Based on these 57 studies, four main themes were raised, namely the main causes of mining accidents (46%), prevention of mining accidents (20%), and lawsuits (17%) and the impact of post- mining accidents (17%). The four themes produce a total of 35 sub-themes. Engineering failures are identified as a major cause of mining accidents and the application of safety software or models is essential to minimize the number of mining accidents. Mine owners have a responsibility to provide a safe working environment for their miners, and there are major challenges to achieving this. In addition, the impact of post-mining accidents has a negative impact on the environment. This systematic appraisal study aims to assist mine owners by providing a better understanding of the problem of mining accidents. This study is also addressed to miners, government, and policy makers so that all parties can jointly target mining accidents in the future.

Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety is an important matter that must be seriously considered in construction work to minimize the potential for work accidents, material and moral losses which will later be used to support effective and efficient performance improvements. PT Inalum has buildings with various forms and different functions and very busy work activities, so it is very important to take into account preparedness in dealing with emergencies so that excessive panic, losses and even fatalities do not occur. In the production environment, work accidents still occur on a moderate to severe scale. The purpose of this study is to find out how the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) is described. Data collection for this study was carried out through observation of the field and work environment as well as distributing questionnaires to respondents. The results of the study show that all procedures in dealing with emergencies have been complied with and carried out by the management of the Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Committee (P2K3) in accordance with the provisions stipulated by Government Regulation Number 50 of 2012 concerning Implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) implementation in various industrial sectors. Industry is an important sector in the economy, but it also has high potential hazards for workers. Occupational diseases and accidents still occur frequently, so the implementation of OSH has an important role in order to protect workers and improve their welfare. This research applied a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were taken from various sources such as books, scientific journals, and related regulations. The results show that effective OHS implementation in various industrial sectors can provide various benefits, both for companies and workers. However, the implementation of OSH in various industrial sectors continues to face many challenges such as low knowledge and awareness of the importance of OSH, limited resources, and resistance from management and workers to changes in work procedures. Therefore, better efforts are needed from all concerned parties to develop and implement more effective OSH in various industrial sectors.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to obtain new information and new discoveries. Functions as proof or verification of existing information and as a determinant of hospital preparedness in dealing with fire disasters. This research was conducted as a literature review, with secondary data. The data collection method used in this research is the documentation method. The analytical method used involves analyzing the content of relevant research journals that meet certain criteria, which is then collected and summarized. There are 10 pieces of literature that discuss hospital preparedness in dealing with fire disasters, all of which are national journals that are searched on the Google Scholar portal using the keyword "Hospital Fire Emergency Planning". Next, the data is analyzed using critical appraisal analysis to examine the core of the journal, reviewing the findings. , and identify similarities and differences between them. From 10 hospital preparedness journals in dealing with fire disasters, it can be seen that several hospital facilities do not meet the specified standards. Identified problems include inadequate fire fighting, inadequate protective facilities, post-disaster procedures, and effectiveness in handling fires in hospitals. There are improvements needed in fire protection systems, employee training, simulations, equipment compliance with guidelines, and proper evacuation route planning. Apart from that, the level of fire fighting capabilities is also considered inadequate in several hospitals.

Abstract

Nutritional balance plays an important role in supporting public health and economic development. Previous studies have shown an association between good nutrition and improved cognitive performance and work productivity, as well as reduced prevalence of non-communicable diseases. The research method used in this study was literature review. The results show that increasing access to nutritious food has a significant impact on reducing the rates of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Furthermore, school-integrated nutrition programs have been shown to improve children's attendance and academic performance. From an economic perspective, improved nutritional status is directly related to increased labor productivity.

Abstract

According to Susanto and Setyowati (2002), mining is a series of activities that include searching, mining (digging), processing, using, and selling excavated commodities (minerals, coal, geothermal, oil, and gas). Land clearing and landscape modification are other important aspects of coal mining that may have negative impacts on the ecology, economy and social structure of communities. Ecological decarbonization effects include landscape changes, decreased soil fertility, threats to biodiversity, decreased water quality, decreased air quality, and pollution. Conflicts between communities and companies, declining public health, shifts in people's mindsets, and adjustments to the social structure of communities are only a small part of the social impacts of mining. The health effects of coal mining include skin conditions and ARI in humans.

Abstract

Educators are energy professionals whose job is to plan and implement the learning process, assess learning outcomes, conduct mentoring and training, and conduct research and community service. With the large workload experienced by educators, it will be concluded that work stress. That way, the purpose of this study is to analyze how much influence the workload of educators has so that work stress occurs. The research method used is a literature review study method by reviewing and reviewing several relevant previous studies as study material accessed on the Google Scholar database. The results of this study found that there is a relationship between workload and work stress.

Abstract

The workload on nurses needs to be considered so that there is no excessive burden that can cause stress on nurses. Job stress is a condition of tension that causes physical and psychological imbalances that can affect an individual's ability to deal with the environment. Furthermore, various symptoms of stress develop including physical, emotional and behavior that can interfere with work. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between workload and work stress in hospital nurses in Indonesia. The research method used is systematic literature review which is used to identify, evaluate, and interpret all relevant research results related to this research. Researchers searched for relevant articles through Google Scholar. The results of this study are 5 relevant articles which state that workload has an influence on work stress in hospital nurses.

Abstract

The Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) is part of the company's overall management system in order to control risks related to work activities in order to create a safe, efficient and productive workplace (PP No. 50 of 2012). Occupational Safety and Health (K3) are all activities to guarantee and protect the safety and health of workers through efforts to prevent work accidents and work-related diseases. Companies or organizations that will or have implemented SMK3 are expected to be able to increase the effectiveness of planned, measurable, structured and integrated occupational safety and health protection, then be able to prevent and reduce work accidents and work-related illnesses by involving elements of management and workers, and also companies can create a safe, comfortable and efficient workplace to boost productivity. This research method uses the method of collecting data in this study using the literature review method (literary study)..

Abstract

The most often used treatment for hydrocephalus is ventricular-peritoneal (VP) shunting. Different locations may experience VP shunt migration. The study's goal was to outline several locations for aberrant distal shunts, their pathogenesis, and appropriate therapy in each instance. Complications from scrotal extrusion are one of the uncommon causes of VP failure. We describe an uncommon complication in which the shunt migrates to an unidentified location beyond the peritoneal cavity. During the shunt revision procedures in these situations, special measures must be made
