Abstract

The current healthcare system faces complex challenges that encompass ever-changing social, economic, and environmental dynamics. Traditional approaches to leadership are often inadequate to manage such complexity, necessitating a more flexible leadership model, namely adaptive leadership. This article aims to systematically review the literature discussing the role of adaptive leadership in healthcare policy management. This review was conducted by analysing 10 relevant pieces of literature, covering the implementation of adaptive leadership principles, its benefits in improving the resilience of health systems, and barriers to its application. The results show that adaptive leadership can encourage responsive decision-making, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and increase policy innovation. However, its implementation faces obstacles such as limited training, resistance to change, and lack of resource support. This article recommends the development of adaptive leadership training and data-driven approaches to improve the effectiveness of health policy in the future.

Abstract

Since the development of interventional cardiology, including coronary procedures and intracardiac implant devices, the use of arterial vessel access, particularly through the radial and femoral arteries, has become increasingly frequent. However, these transradial and transfemoral approaches have been associated with various vascular complications at the access sites particularly in ICCU. Such complications increase the risk of mortality, morbidity, healthcare costs, and the length of patient hospitalization. Early detection and prompt management of complications in ICCU are crucial to reducing post-procedural mortality and morbidity.

Abstract

The implementation of Electronic Medical Record Management Information System (EMMRE) has become an innovative solution in improving the efficiency and accuracy of medical record data, which is an important element in clinical and operational decision making. This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of EMMRE on data accuracy based on a literature review of various previous studies. The research method used is a literature review approach by reviewing articles from relevant national and international journals, using keywords such as "electronic medical records," "data accuracy," and "management information systems." The results of the study indicate that the implementation of EMMRE can improve data accuracy by reducing manual errors, better data integration, and ease of access to information for medical personnel. However, challenges such as lack of user training, high implementation costs, and threats to data security remain obstacles that need to be overcome. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the benefits and constraints of EMMRE and recommends strategies to optimize its implementation in supporting data accuracy in health services.

Abstract

Nutritional status is an expression of a state of balance in the form of certain variables, or the manifestation of nutrients in the form of certain variables. (Hartini, 2018). The 2018 Health Profile of the Republic of Indonesia states that the percentage of malnutrition in toddlers aged 0-59 months in Indonesia is 3.9%, while the percentage of undernutrition is 13.8%. In the Riau Islands, toddlers with malnutrition problems are 3.2%, while undernutrition is 9.8% (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2018). Factors that influence nutritional status are inadequate nutritional intake, health, and diet. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between diet and nutritional status of elementary school children in Sekupang 004. The design of this study was observational with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all students of Sekupang 004 Elementary School, Batam City, with a sample using simple random sampling of 63 respondents. The results of the study conducted Kolmogorov Test parenting patterns with nutritional status obtained P value 0.000 <α 0.05, and diet patterns with nutritional status obtained P value 0.000 <α 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between parenting patterns and nutritional status, there is a relationship between diet patterns and nutritional status in students. This study can be a consideration in making policies for implementing good parenting patterns and providing education on diet and nutritional status.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Bukit Doa in Pancur Batu in helping drug users, drug dealers, and people with mental disorders (ODGJ) restore their mental well-being. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through direct observation and in-depth interviews with two informants, namely the Program Manager and the Counselor of the Companion Revision. The results of the study indicate that the rehabilitation program at Bukit Doa integrates medical, social, and spiritual approaches, which include counseling, community therapy, and religious support. The main challenges include participant resistance, limited facilities, community stigma, and limited funds, which are overcome through a personal approach, community education, and cross-subsidies. The impact of the program is seen from changes in participant behavior, increased community awareness of the dangers of drugs, and re-acceptance of participants in the social environment. Although independent funding is an obstacle, the program shows sustainability through organized management. This study highlights the importance of synergy between medical and spiritual approaches in community- based rehabilitation to address mental health and drug problems holistically.

Abstract

Pneumonia is an acute infection that attacks lung tissue (alveoli) caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Pneumonia occurs when germs defeat the immune system, causing inflammation of the lungs and causing the air sacs in the lungs to become inflamed and swollen. In 2020, pneumonia was still the second leading cause of death in toddlers in Indonesia. The purpose of this paper is to determine nursing care for children with pneumonia by applying the prone position and chest physiotherapy to maintain airway clearance in hospitalized children. The method used is a case study (single case study) which is carried out based on the stages of nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of nursing. The results of the study showed that the data found in children were that the child appeared short of breath, chest wall retraction (intracosta), thick white sputum, and there were additional breath sounds (ronchi). The nursing problem in children is that airway clearance is ineffective, so the planned intervention is airway management with actions taken including applying the prone position and chest physiotherapy which showed that the problem was resolved. From this study, it can be concluded that the prone position and chest physiotherapy can improve airway clearance in children with pneumonia. Furthermore, it is expected that these actions can be implemented in the health service setting by nurses.

Abstract

Mining is some or all stages of activities in the framework, management and exploitation of mineral or coal mining which includes general investigations, exploration, feasibility studies, construction, mining, processing or refining, or development and utilization of minerals or coal. Based on work accident data in Indonesia from BPJS Katenagakerjaan for the period January to September 2021, it was revealed that 82 thousand cases were related to work accidents and 179 cases were related to occupational diseases (PAK), with 65% related to Covid-19. As provided by information from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), there were 93 work accidents in the mining sector in 2021. These incidents included 36 cases considered light, 57 cases classified as heavy duty, and 11 deaths due to work accidents . The aim of this research is to find out how to control the risk of work accidents in mining workers. One of the causes of workplace incidents is directly linked to unsafe actions and unsafe conditions, which ultimately lead to the shutdown of operational processes involving individuals or equipment.
