Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of the role-playing method in group counseling sessions to encourage students’ learning motivation. Using a qualitative approach in the form of a case study, the research was conducted at the junior high school level involving six students who were purposively selected. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis. The data analysis adopted the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of role-playing techniques in classical guidance significantly improved students’ learning motivation in various aspects, including internal drive, persistence in learning, and academic goals. Role-playing created a dynamic and engaging learning atmosphere, providing students with opportunities to analyze situations related to academic challenges and achievements. This study concludes that role-playing is an effective method in group counseling for fostering junior high school students’ intrinsic learning motivation.

Abstract

In Hinduism, it is very rich in character values that are universal and relevant to the character education that applies today. The cultivation of Hindu character values should be introduced to children from an early age. This study aims to identify and analyze the way of developing Hindu character values in early childhood. Hindu characters in this study are focused on three studies, namely Tri Parartha, Tri Kaya Parisudha and Tat Twam Asi. This research is classified as a literature research. The research data is sourced from various literatures, including: journals, books and other literature that contain the understanding of Hindu ethics for early childhood. The stages of research consist of setting goals, collecting, selection, reviewing the content of the selected literature, analysis, synthesis in making conclusions. The results of the study stated that the development of an understanding of Hindu character values education for early childhood can be carried out through the involvement of parents who are adjusted to the development of children and the meaning of each Hindu ethics. The methods used are in the form of example, literacy and awarding.

Abstract

Learning media is an essential component in the educational process that functions as an intermediary in delivering messages or information from educators to learners. This article aims to examine the classification and types of learning media based on their characteristics, forms, and technological developments. Learning media can be classified from several perspectives, including sensory involvement (audio, visual, and audiovisual), technology-based categories (traditional media and digital-based media), and usage methods (projected) Photography is a visual medium that plays a vital role in the learning process. Etymologically, photography comes from the Greek words photos (light) and graphos (image), meaning the process of drawing with the aid of light. In an educational context, photographic images serve as a learning medium capable of presenting objects in a concrete, realistic, and easily understood manner by students. This study aims to examine the definition of photographic images, selection criteria, principles of use, advantages and disadvantages, and production techniques for learning. The method used was library research, analyzing various sources related to photography as a learning medium. The results of the study indicate that the appropriate use of photographic images can enhance student understanding, particularly in explaining abstract concepts more concretely. However, their use must still consider pedagogical and technical criteria to be effective.

Abstract

This research began from the difficulties teachers face in the teaching process using the independent curriculum. The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) The principal's strategies for overcoming the difficulties faced by fourth-grade teachers in teaching using the independent curriculum, 2) Describing the forms of the principal's efforts to overcome the difficulties of fourth-grade teachers in teaching using the independent curriculum, 3) Describing the results of the principal's efforts in overcoming the difficulties of fourth-grade teachers in teaching using the independent curriculum. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The techniques for checking data validity used are source triangulation and member check. The results of this study show that: 1) How the principal's strategy to overcome The difficulties faced by fourth-grade teachers in teaching using the Merdeka curriculum at SD Negeri 19 Sebambang are that the principal conducts supervision, provides facilities and infrastructure, uses a consultative approach and mentorship, and encourages training and workshops. 2) The efforts of the principal to overcome the difficulties faced by fourth-grade teachers in teaching using the Merdeka curriculum at SD Negeri 19 Sebambang are conducting scheduled supervision, organizing internal training and workshops, encouraging teacher collaboration (KKG), facilitating the use and development of learning resources, providing motivation and appreciation, conducting periodic evaluation and monitoring, building positive communication, and encouraging teachers to innovate. 3) The results of the principal's efforts in overcoming teachers' difficulties in teaching using the Merdeka curriculum at SD Negeri 19 Sebambang are increased teacher competence, improved learning quality, the implementation of differentiated learning, and teachers more independent and collaborative, changes in teaching methods, improvement in student learning outcomes, teachers are more professional.

Abstract

Learning evaluation is one of the important aspects of the educational process that aims to determine the level of students’ success in achieving learning objectives. Therefore, the evaluation instruments used must have good quality so that the measurement results can reflect students’ abilities objectively and accurately. One way to determine the quality of an evaluation instrument is through item analysis, especially in terms of difficulty level and discriminating power. This study aims to analyze the quality of multiple-choice test items in the Mid-Semester Examination for eighth-grade Arabic language subjects based on the level of difficulty and discriminating power. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach using item analysis techniques. The research data were obtained from the answer sheets of eighth-grade students on the multiple-choice questions of the Mid-Semester Examination in Arabic language subjects. Data analysis was carried out using formulas for difficulty level and discriminating power to determine the quality of each test item. The results showed that most of the questions were categorized as easy, while the discriminating power ranged from sufficient to very good categories. However, several test items were still found to have low and negative discriminating power, indicating the need for revision to improve the quality of the questions. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the quality of the Mid-Semester Examination questions for the eighth-grade Arabic language subject is generally considered fairly good, and most of the test items are suitable to be used as learning evaluation instruments.

Abstract

Academic integrity is a crucial aspect in education, particularly in Christian theology and Christian Religious Education, which emphasize the values ​​of honesty, responsibility, and truth. The development of digital technology facilitates easy access to information, but also raises challenges in the form of increased plagiarism and misuse of technology in scientific writing. This study aims to analyze the importance of maintaining academic integrity through the authenticity of Turnitin-based writing from the perspective of Christian theology and Christian Religious Education. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach through the analysis of various journals, books, and relevant scientific sources. The results show that the use of Turnitin plays a significant role in helping maintain the originality of scientific work, building an honest academic culture, and increasing awareness of scientific writing ethics. In addition, the implementation of Christian values ​​through character education is a major factor in shaping students' academic responsibility in the digital era.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a 3D animated video media based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the topic of equivalent fractions for fourth-grade elementary school students. This research is motivated by students' low understanding of the abstract concept of fractions and the limited use of innovative learning media. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The research subjects consisted of three experts, one teacher, and 11 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 8 Simpang Pesak. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and questionnaires, while data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the media obtained an expert validation score of 87.33% with a "very good" category. At the implementation stage, teacher and student responses each reached 100% with a "very good" category. The overall average of 95.77% indicates that the developed media is not only feasible but also very practical to use in learning. Thus, AI-based 3D animated video media is effectively used to help increase teacher innovation and student learning interest in equivalent fractions material.

Abstract

Globalisation poses serious challenges to students’ moral resilience in the form of individualism, hedonism and identity crises; consequently, religious and moral education must respond with an approach that integrates spiritual, moral and social dimensions. This literature review aims to synthesise concepts and research findings related to tazkiyatun nafs, values education, and religious moderation within a prophetic framework to formulate a conceptual model of religious and moral education that is operational and contextually relevant. The method used is a literature review (library research) employing a descriptive-analytical approach. The results of the study indicate that education in faith and ethics from a prophetic perspective, integrated with tazkiyatun nafs, offers a holistic approach to building students’ moral resilience, wherein the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) serves as an external model and the process of spiritual purification acts as an internal self-regulatory mechanism, complementing one another. Education in values and religious moderation (wasathiyah) constitutes a strategic component that mutually reinforces these elements by shaping students who possess a commitment to the nation, are anti-violence, tolerant, and accommodating of diversity. This study recommends the development of a conceptual model for prophetic-based faith and ethics education with three main pillars: (1) spiritual internalisation through tazkiyatun nafs, (2) internalisation of values through reflective values education, and (3) the promotion of religious moderation through dialogic pedagogy and digital literacy.
