Abstract

This study aims to compare curriculum models at the elementary, junior secondary, and senior secondary/vocational levels in Indonesia and to examine their implications for the development of the School Operational Curriculum (Kurikulum Operasional Satuan Pendidikan/KOSP). Each educational level adopts a distinct curriculum framework that aligns with students’ developmental stages, educational objectives, and instructional approaches. At the elementary level (SD/MI), the curriculum emphasizes the development of foundational literacy and numeracy skills as well as character education. At the junior secondary level (SMP/MTs), the curriculum focuses on strengthening conceptual understanding and fostering critical thinking skills. At the senior secondary level (SMA/MA), the curriculum prioritizes advanced academic development and preparation for higher education, while vocational schools (SMK) emphasize competency mastery and work-related skills. These distinctions significantly influence the formulation of the School Operational Curriculum (KOSP) at each institution. The KOSP must be designed contextually and flexibly, taking into account the school’s vision, mission, and students’ needs at each educational level. Therefore, the development of the KOSP cannot be standardized across institutions but must be adapted to the specific characteristics and educational goals of each type and level of school.

Abstract

This study aims to examine an integrative approach to Christian counseling as an effort to build individual mental health and spirituality in the modern era. The method used is a qualitative study with a library study through analysis of various relevant literature sources. The results of the study indicate that an integrative approach that combines psychological principles and Christian theological values ​​​​can provide a holistic understanding of human beings. This approach focuses not only on resolving psychological problems but also on restoring an individual's spiritual relationship with God. Spirituality has been proven to play a significant role in increasing mental resilience, providing meaning to life, and helping individuals cope with the pressures of modern life. Furthermore, this approach is relevant in addressing the challenges of the digital era and complex social changes. Thus, integrative-based Christian counseling is an effective alternative in creating sustainable mental and spiritual well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Christian counseling in shaping the mental health and faith maturity of congregations. The approach used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results indicate that Christian counseling plays a significant role in helping congregations overcome psychological stress, manage emotions, and heal emotional wounds through an approach that integrates psychological principles and theological values. Furthermore, counseling also contributes to building a more intimate relationship with God, strengthening self-identity, and developing Christian character that reflects faith maturity. However, counseling services in churches still face challenges such as limited human resources and negative stigmas regarding counseling. Therefore, a development strategy is needed that includes counselor training, congregational education, and the integration of counseling services into church programs. Thus, Christian counseling becomes an effective tool in supporting the holistic growth of congregations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of direct instruction in improving the understanding of mathematical concepts among fourth-grade elementary school students. The background of this study is the low level of students' understanding of mathematical concepts, so an appropriate learning method is needed to help students understand the material better. The research method used is library research by utilizing various sources from books, scientific journals, and relevant information from the internet. Data were collected through literature studies and analyzed descriptively to obtain a deeper understanding of the application of direct instruction. The results of the study show that direct instruction can help students understand mathematical concepts in a gradual and systematic way, as the teacher provides clear explanations, examples, and structured exercises. This method can improve students' conceptual understanding and help them solve problems more effectively. In conclusion, direct instruction is an effective method to improve the understanding of mathematical concepts among fourth-grade elementary school students. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to apply this method in the learning process.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental right of every individual, including visually impaired students. However, education accessibility is still a challenge for blind students in acquiring knowledge and information. Therefore, the development of technology-based learning materials becomes an effective solution to improve educational accessibility for blind students. This research aims to develop technology-based learning materials that can be accessed by visually impaired students. The research method used include needs analysis, system design, development of learning materials, as well as testing and evaluation. Learning materials, as well as testing and evaluation. This learning material will be specifically designed to meet the needs of visually impaired students, by using assistive technology devices such as screen readers or braille displays. Development of this technology-based learning material has significant benefits. First, it increases the accessibility of education for blind students, so that they can obtain knowledge and information more easily. They can obtain knowledge and information more easily.  Second, it increases the independence of blind students in learning, because they can access learning materials independently. Third, increasing the motivation of learning through interesting and interactive learning materials. Finally, the development of technology-based learning materials can help reduce the educational gap between blind students and other students. By using technology, students can acquire knowledge and information more effectively. The development of this learning material provides benefits in improving accessibility of education, enhancing independence, increasing motivation to learning, and reducing educational disparities. Therefore further efforts are needed to develop technology-based learning materials that technology-based learning materials that can meet the needs of visually impaired students. In conclusion, the development of technology-based learning material for visually impaired students is an important step in improving accessibility of education for them. By using technology, students can acquire knowledge and information more effectively. Abstract

The humanistic curriculum is an educational approach that focuses on the comprehensive development of learners’ potential, including cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. This study aims to explore the concept, characteristics, principles, and implementation of the humanistic curriculum in learning. The method employed is a literature review based on various relevant books and scientific journals published within the last 3–5 years. The findings reveal that the humanistic curriculum enhances students’ self-awareness, empathy, responsibility, and reflective skills. In addition, it promotes a learning environment that is meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable. Therefore, the humanistic curriculum is highly applicable in modern education that emphasizes character development.

Abstract

This paper discusses the development of the Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum in elementary schools, focusing on the transformation of learning models from thematic integrative approaches to the Merdeka Belajar framework. The study aims to explore changes in learning concepts, the reorientation of teachers’ roles, and the implications for teaching practices in the classroom. This study uses a literature review method by analyzing relevant books, journals, and official documents related to curriculum development and learning strategies. The findings indicate that the shift toward Merdeka Belajar encourages more flexible, student-centered, and contextual learning processes. Teachers are required to adapt by becoming facilitators, motivators, and guides in the learning process. In addition, teaching practices become more dynamic through the use of varied methods, authentic assessment, and meaningful learning experiences. This transformation is expected to improve the quality of learning and support the development of students' character in a holistic manner.
