Abstract

This study investigates the effect of reward and punishment on employee work discipline. The employees at an auto dealer company in Bandung were asked questions as part of the research method. The number of respondents who participated in this study was 97 employees. The results of the study show that there is an effect of reward and punishment on work discipline. However, the effect of the reward variable on work discipline has a more minor effect than the punishment variable. The punishment variable is the dominant variable influencing work discipline; in other words, the effect of punishment on work discipline is greater than the effect of rewards on work discipline. Companies should be able to increase the punishment of employees based on such things as paying attention to clarity after making mistakes, demotions, and verbal reprimands. The hope is that optimal punishment will increase, impacting optimal discipline.

Maintaining top-tier personnel is difficult for convenience stores, as they must compete against larger businesses with higher budgets and more employee advantages. This study aimed to determine the employee retention management practices in selected convenience stores in Cavite, Philippines. It utilized a descriptive research design and convenience sampling technique to select the respondents. The data was acquired by utilizing self-constructed questionnaires and Likert-scale to determine the effectiveness of employee retention. The study found that most respondents who manage a convenience store have 1 to 9 employees, have been operating for 6 to 8 years, and were small enterprises. The study found that variables such as employee compensation, physical working environment, employee growth, engagement, and employee support were highly effective in retaining employees. The researchers recommend that employees seek a good organization that listens to them and cares about their general well-being. Respectively, managers and/or owners should develop efficient and effective strategies to retain and manage employees in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic that hit Indonesia at the end of 2019 caused a downturn in various sectors, especially the economic sector, including MSME players, who experienced a significant decrease in turnover. In order to maintain stability and restore the national economy, the government issued a tax incentive policy (PMK Number 82/PMK.03/2021) to continue to support MSME productivity during the Pandemic. This study aims to determine how much influence the Government-borne Final Income Tax Incentives (DTP) given to MSME actors on the sustainability of MSMEs registered at one of the Primary KPPs in Bandung City during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The method used in this research is explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The data used uses primary data in the form of a questionnaire addressed to taxpayers of MSME actors registered at one of the KPP Pratama in Bandung, which 35 respondents fill in. The study results show a significance value (Sig.) of 0.046 <0.05 in the T-Test test, so the researchers concluded that the DTP Final Income Tax Incentive positively affected the sustainability of MSMEs during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The simple linear regression equation formed is Y = 16.480 + 0.387X with a coefficient of determination of 0.115 (11.5%). This condition means that the dependent variable DTP Final Income Tax Incentive has the ability of 11.5% in explaining the variance on the sustainability of MSMEs, and there is still 88.5% of the variance explained by other independent variable factors. Therefore, it is necessary to have other independent variables, such as Tax Rates, Tax Socialization, and Financial Conditions, to affect the sustainability of MSMEs during the co-19 Pandemic simultaneously.

Abstract

Although the number of Indihome users climbed, the company's fixed broadband market share fell. Data on poor customer loyalty behavior and a negative attitude toward customer loyalty reinforce the suspicion that there is a decline in Indihome customer loyalty. To research the factors contributing to declining loyalty, this study employs the Service Quality internet service provider model. Its independent variables include Network Quality, Customer Service, Information Quality, and Security. The dependent variables examined in this study are Attitudinal Loyalty and Behavioral Loyalty. The moderator variables examined in this study are Internet Usage Level and Switching Cost. The eight variables' causal links create a structural equation model (SEM). Data were collected from 408 Indihome internet users, and WarpPLS 8.0 software was used to analyze the data. This study's findings suggest that to retain clients, and a supplier must continue offering comprehensive, current, practical, and accurate information. They must also be mindful of the importance of fostering client loyalty so customers can continue subscribing. Additionally, they must intensify efforts to improve customer support for Internet customers. Finally, because it can reduce Attitudinal Loyalty, the supplier needs to Strengthen Security, which has a high Switching Cost.
