Abstract

The rising trend of fried chicken culinary businesses has driven the emergence of various local partnership-based brands, such as De Chick Fried Chicken. This study aims to examine the implementation of monitoring and evaluation models in De Chick’s internal and external communication programs. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that De Chick applies both formative and summative evaluation models in its communication programs, including daily briefings and monthly meetings. Formative evaluation is conducted during program implementation, while summative evaluation is used to assess outcomes and make strategic decisions. The discussion reveals that internal communication effectively maintains operational coordination, whereas external communication fosters relationships with partners, sponsors, and consumers. In conclusion, the monitoring and evaluation of communication programs significantly contribute to De Chick’s growth and serve as a foundation for sustainable business decision-making

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of usability of the online attendance system used at the Seribu Islands Manpower and Transmigration Sub-dept. using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The online attendance system is a digital solution that facilitates the process of recording employee attendance in real-time, but its effectiveness and ease of use need to be evaluated to ensure the system runs optimally. The research method used is quantitative with data collection through a Google Form-based questionnaire consisting of 10 questions using a 5-point Likert scale. The research sample of 45 respondents who are active employees at the Seribu Islands Manpower and Transmigration Sub-dept. was selected using the quota sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using the SUS method with the help of Excel and SPSS software to test validity, reliability, and calculate the system usability score. The results showed a SUS score of 46.0 with a grade D, which indicates that the online attendance system has a fairly good level of usability but is not yet optimal. Based on these findings, it is concluded that further evaluation and development are needed to improve the ease of use and user satisfaction with this online attendance system. This study provides recommendations for improving the interface, user training, and periodic evaluations so that the system can function more effectively and efficiently

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has made computer Networks a vital component for communication and data exchange in organizations, including PT Jasa Raharja Putera. However, Networks without proper Security mechanisms are highly vulnerable to both internal and external threats. This study aims to design a Network Security system by implementing Firewall, Port Security, and VLAN to enhance Network protection at the Marketing Office of PT Jasa Raharja Putera. The research methodology consists of field observations, interviews, literature review, and Network simulation using GNS3 software. The proposed design utilizes a Mikrotik Router for routing and firewall functions, Cisco manageable switches for VLAN segmentation and Port Security, and Access Point configurations on each floor. A Layer 7 Protocol-based firewall is applied to restrict non- productive website access within the employee VLAN, while the head office computer is granted full access through MAC Address filtering. The simulation results indicate that the proposed design improves Network Security by isolating traffic between VLANs, preventing unauthorized devices, and filtering internet traffic. Therefore, this design can serve as a practical reference for developing secure and structured Network infrastructures in similar office environments

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed promotional strategies within the film industry, particularly through the utilization of social media platforms. This study aims to examine the role of Behind the Scene content shared on Instagram as part of the promotional strategy for the Indonesian action film “13 Bom di Jakarta”, produced by Visinema Pictures. A qualitative approach is employed, using Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis model to understand how such content shapes audience perception. The findings reveal that Behind the Scene content not only transparently presents the filmmaking process but also fosters emotional engagement between the audience and the film. This type of content is perceived to enhance viewers' interest and enthusiasm through authentic and visually engaging narratives. Furthermore, Instagram proves to be an effective platform due to its ability to reach a broad audience quickly and interactively. This study asserts that in the digital era, Behind the Scene content plays a strategic role in strengthening a film’s public image and nurturing a closer relationship between creators and viewers

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of web-based information systems in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Serang Regency as part of digital transformation efforts in the local business sector. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through observations and interviews with MSME owners who have adopted web-based systems in their operations. The findings show that the implementation improves operational efficiency, enhances transaction accuracy, and simplifies stock management and financial reporting. Moreover, web-based information systems enable entrepreneurs to analyze sales data for formulating data-driven marketing strategies. However, several challenges were identified, including limited digital literacy, a shortage of skilled personnel, and data security issues. Therefore, government and educational institutions need to provide continuous training and technical support. Overall, the implementation of web-based information systems contributes to improving competitiveness, marketing effectiveness, and accelerating digital transformation among MSMEs in Serang Regency

Abstract

This research aims to improve critical thinking skills in mathematics subjects for fifth grade students at SDN Ngemplak Kidul 03 through the PBL model using the help of the pulpit teaching media. The method in this research is Classroom Action Research which was conducted in March-June 2024 at SDN Ngemplak Kidul 03. The subjects in this research were class V students at SDN Ngemplak Kidul 03, totaling 13 students. The object of this research is students' critical thinking abilities using the Problem Based Learning method assisted by pulpit teaching media. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews, tests and documentation. Based on the results assisted by pulpit media can improve students' critical thinking skills in class V of SDN Ngemplak Kidul 03.of the student learning test percentage in cycle I was 79.23% and in cycle II it increased to 88.84% in the good category. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the PBL model

Abstract

This research is motivated by the large number of teenagers engaging in deviant behavior, for example often participating in brawls, lack of manners in speaking to their elders, many people smoking, skipping school, drinking and playing online games, so they forget the time to carry out their responsibilities as children for school. and learn properly. This research aims to determine interpersonal communication between parents and children in preventing juvenile delinquency in Nagari Taruang-Taruang as well as the factors that hinder interpersonal communication between parents and children in preventing juvenile delinquency in Nagari Taruang-Taruang. The research method used is the Qualitative Method. The main source of this research is communication between parents and children in preventing juvenile delinquency in Nagari Taruang-Taruang. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this research are that interpersonal communication between parents and children to prevent juvenile delinquency in Nagari Taruang-Taruang is that first, parents always give advice to their children, provide good direction to their children, and always provide religious messages to educate their children as well as include moral education and morals so that the child avoids juvenile delinquency

Abstract

This research is due to the low learning results of Mathematics students of the fourth grade of UPTD State Primary School 17 Parepare. The purpose of this research is to find out how the process of implementing the Project Based Learning model can improve the learning process and outcome of the students' mathematics of cube and beam networks in class IV of UPTD SD Negeri 17 Parepare. This study is a class action study (CAT) using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were the teachers and students of class IV of UPTD SD Negeri 17 Parepare in the 2023/2024 school year, which numbered 35 students consisting of 18 men and 17 women. The data collection techniques used are observation, testing, and documentation. Research is conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The application of the learning model can improve the learning process of students of class IV UPTD SD 17 Parepare This can be proven from the results of this study that  showed in the first cycle of the learning process was at sufficient qualification (C) with a percentage of 72.85%. While in the second cycle, the learning process is at a good qualification (B) with a percentage of 90%. and the learning test results by applying the Project Based Learning learning model have also been shown to improve. This can be seen in the cycle I learning test results being at sufficient qualification (C) with a percentage of 71.42%. While in the second cycle, the results of the learning test were in good qualification (B) with a percentage of 94.28%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the Project Based Learning model can improve the learning process and results of Mathematics students of class IV UPTD SD Negeri 17 Parepare

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of classical guidance using the Problem Based Learning approach in improving critical reasoning skills of class VIII students of SMP 37 Medan. The research method used is quantitative experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of the study consisted of 60 students divided into an experimental group (30 students) and a control group (30 students). The experimental group was given treatment in the form of classical guidance with the Problem Based Learning approach, while the control group was only given ordinary classical guidance. Data collection used a Likert scale questionnaire. The results showed a significant increase in critical reasoning skills in the experimental group with an average pretest score of 85.13 (moderate category) to 124.3 (very high category) on the posttest. While in the control group there was an increase from an average of 85.06 (moderate) to 120.53 (high). The Wilcoxon and Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (p <0.05). It is concluded that classical guidance with the Problem Based Learning approach is effective in improving students' critical reasoning ability in learning

Abstract

This study examines the influence of social media application usage intensity and duration of social media activities on the academic performance of students at Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi Medan. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational design, this study involved 99 randomly selected students as samples. Data was collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that the intensity of social media use has a significant negative effect on academic performance, with a t-count value of -8.062, which is greater than the t-table (1.66) and a significance of 0.000. Conversely, the duration of social media activities has a significant positive effect on academic performance, with a t-count value of 7.342, which is greater than the t-table (1.66) and a significance of 0.000. Simultaneously, both variables also show a significant influence on students' academic performance, with an F-count value of 54.505, which is far greater than the F-table value (3.09) and a significance of 0.000. These findings indicate the importance of a balanced approach to social media use, with educational institutions needing to encourage constructive and academically-oriented social media use
