Abstract

This study aims to Test Wastewater Quality Using the Mpn (Most Probable Number) Method to Detect Total COLIFORM Bacteria. This study uses laboratory analysis, which aims to provide an overview of the microbiological quality of wastewater based on the presence and number of Coliform bacteria. The working principle of the Most Probable Number (MPN) method in detecting total Coliform bacteria in wastewater is carried out semi-quantitatively by detecting microbial growth through lactose fermentation which produces gas or turbidity in selective liquid media. The implementation procedure includes a presumptive test stage using Lactose Broth (LB) media, a confirmatory test with Brilliant Green Lactose Bile Broth (BGLB) media, and determining the final value by matching the combination of positive tubes with the standard MPN table. From the results of laboratory testing on three domestic wastewater samples (1224 AL, 1225 AL, and 1226 AL), it was found that all samples showed negative results with a combination of 0-0-0 tubes in the presumptive test. This indicates that the tested sample does not contain Total Coliform bacteria or has a value of less than 1000 MPN/100 mL, so that its microbiological quality is declared very good and has met the quality standard threshold set by the government through the Minister of Environment Regulation No. 5 of 2014 and PP RI No. 22 of 2021

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of mothers as agents of masculinity enculturation for Nias ethnic boys. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach, data collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of Nias ethnic mothers and boys. The results show that the role of mothers as agents of masculinity enculturation in Nias ethnic boys in Tegal Sari Mandala II Village emphasizes the instilling of masculine values through daily care that is appropriate to the context of urban life. Mothers instill the value of courage by accustoming children to dare to speak, appear, and defend the truth, while building strength through emotional control and assertiveness to be able to face pressure, develop resilience through independence, discipline, and adaptability, and teach leadership through responsibility, decision-making, and the application of traditional leadership values such as si'ulu and si'ila. The main challenges faced by mothers include the stubbornness of children, the limited role without a husband figure for single parents, and the negative influence of social media and diverse urban environments. Mothers make various efforts to overcome these obstacles by implementing a firm but loving parenting style, providing motivation when children experience failure, and involving other male family members such as uncles or church members to provide advice. The implementation of traditional Nias ethnic masculinity values is still attempted through oral narratives, the use of digital technology to demonstrate the Fahombo (Stone Jumping) tradition, and the involvement of boys to attend and witness various Nias ethnic traditions in urban areas to maintain their ethnic identity amidst modernity

Abstract

This study aims to identify the dominant error patterns of students in geometry learning based on Newman's Error Analysis (NEA) and to examine their implications for readiness to understand Non-Euclidean Geometry. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 10 empirical articles published between 2019 and 2026. Data were extracted based on the five stages of NEA — reading, comprehension, transformation, process skill, and encoding — and subsequently analyzed through narrative synthesis, percentage comparison, and descriptive effect size. The results indicate that comprehension errors and encoding errors are the most dominant categories, with the highest percentages of 56.92% and 50%, respectively, followed by transformation errors, which consistently fall within a moderate effect range (20–40%), while reading errors and process skill errors are classified as low. The primary causes of errors include weak understanding of geometric concepts, inability in spatial visualization, limited mathematical language, and lack of procedural precision. The findings contribute as a diagnostic foundation for designing more effective geometry learning, while simultaneously serving as a conceptual bridge toward higher-level geometry

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types of errors made by 11th grade students at SMAS Amir Hamzah Medan in solving geometric transformation problems involving translation, reflection, rotation, and dilation. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a sample of 15 students selected based on high, medium, and low ability categories. Data were collected through essay tests and analyzed using Newman's Error Analysis, which consists of five stages of errors: reading, understanding, transformation, process skills, and writing the final answer. The analysis results indicate that the highest incidence of errors occurred in the understanding stage and process skills stage, each accounting for 36%. Transformation errors accounted for 21.33%, while reading and final answer writing errors were in the very low category, each at 9.33%. These findings indicate that students still face difficulties in understanding basic concepts and technical steps in geometric transformations. Based on these results, it is recommended that teachers implement systematic learning strategies such as Learning Therapy, emphasizing the understanding of prerequisite concepts, writing down known and asked information, and developing the habit of structuring and evaluating solution steps systematically to minimize similar errors in the future.

Abstract

This study examines the realization of interpersonal meaning through the Mood system in President Prabowo Subianto's speech delivered during the 2026 National Cooperative Day commemoration. Drawing on the interpersonal metafunction within Systemic Functional Linguistics, the study employed a qualitative SFL-based analysis supported by descriptive frequency counts. The official speech transcript was cross-checked against the corresponding video recording and systematically segmented into ranking clauses and independently functioning minor interpersonal units. Following a full segmentation and coding audit, the finalized corpus consisted of 680 interpersonal analytical units: 598 major clauses and 82 minor interpersonal units. Each major clause was analyzed in terms of its interpersonal grammatical structure and classified as declarative, imperative, or interrogative, while the minor interpersonal units were coded separately according to their interactional functions. The analysis also considered the grammatical characteristics of Indonesian and did not impose an English-type tense-based Finite on clauses without an overt interpersonal realization. The findings show that declarative Mood was dominant, occurring 524 times or 77.06% of all analytical units. Minor interpersonal units occurred 82 times (12.06%), followed by 41 imperative clauses (6.03%) and 33 interrogative clauses (4.85%). The predominance of declarative Mood indicates that the speech was primarily organized through the giving of information, positioning the President as the principal provider of propositions and the audience mainly as information recipients. Minor interpersonal units maintained ceremonial and interactional contact, while imperative clauses directed actions and responses. Interrogative clauses created temporary opportunities for confirmation, reflection, and audience involvement. Overall, interpersonal meaning in the speech was realized through a predominantly speaker-led but interactionally varied configuration of grammatical and interactional resources. The study contributes an audited full-speech account of spontaneous Indonesian presidential discourse, with explicit clause-segmentation criteria, an Indonesian-sensitive treatment of Finite, and a distinction between major Mood types and minor interpersonal units.
