Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the difference in the average increase in problem solving skills between students who are taught with a realistic mathematics approach and project-based learning ; (2) the difference in the average increase in student motivation between students taught with a realistic mathematics approach and project-based learning ; (3) improving students' problem-solving skills between those taught with realistic mathematics approaches and project-based learning ; (4) increase in student motivation among students who are taught with a realistic mathematics approach and project-based learning . The research is in the form of a Pre Experimental Design with a Two Group Pretest-Posttest research design . The instruments in this research are problem solving ability test and student motivation questionnaire . The data analysis uses t-test and gain scores. The results of the study show: (1) there are differences in problem-solving abilities, students who are taught by project-based learning are better than those with a realistic mathematics approach , this is based on the t - count value (= 0.001 ) so that there is a difference because sig (2-tailed) < 0.05 and t count is positive ; (2) there is a difference in student motivation taught by project-based learning is better than with a realistic mathematics approach , this is based on the value of t count (= 0.001 ) so there is a difference because sig (2-tailed) < 0.05 and t count is positive ; (3) The improvement of the problem solving ability of students who are taught by project-based learning is higher than the realistic mathematics approach , this is based on the gain score; (4) the increase in student motivation taught by project-based learning is higher than the realistic mathematics approach , this is based on the gain score.

Abstract

Differences in Students' Mathematical Concept Understanding Ability Using Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Methods With Expository Learning Methods. On the Material System of Linear Equations of Two Variables in Class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Pematangsiantar. This study aims to determine the difference in the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning method with the expository learning method on the material of a two-variable linear equation system. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Pematangsiantar . sampling , the experimental class research sample was obtained as many as 32 students. The instrument used was a learning outcome test in the form of description questions that had been carried out at SMP Negeri 8 Pematangsiantar. From the results of the study, the average pretest result = 30.29 and the average posttest result = 34.9. Then the homogeneity of the data was tested by using the homogeneity test of variance F hit = 1.77 < F (0.05; 29:30 = 1.89 with a confidence level of = 0.05 meaning the sample is homogeneous because F hit is not in the critical area. From the calculation results of the t hit price = 1.86 for = 0.05 and v = 59 and table = 1.67 it turns out that t hits are in the k-point area, because 1.86> 1.67. Abstract

The purpose of developing game-based mathematics teaching materials in the early grades is to increase student motivation and interest in learning and to be able to help students think logically in solving problems. And improve students' ability to apply difficult mathematical concepts. Because there are so many educators who focus more on learning mathematics that use learning resources from textbooks that contain material and formulas that do not explain real mathematics learning. thus causing boredom and boredom, it is necessary to apply the development of game-based mathematics teaching materials. Where there are several game development methods that need to be applied in the classroom: math duel and ice breaking. So that by developing this game method, students' interest and motivation in learning will be more enthusiastic and there will be no more boredom in the classroom. As well as increasing students' self-confidence in dealing with mathematical tasks or problems and increasing students' ability to work in teams or socialize with classmates.

Abstract

HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) is an instrument that assesses students' hight level thinking skills so that students are not just remembering but are expected to be able to develop ideas. Based on Bloom's Taxonomy, HOTS questions consist of 3 levels, namely analyzing, evaluating and creating. This study aims to describe the ability of students to work on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) problems in mathematics learning in V class SD Negeri 040457 Berastagiat the level of analyzing, evaluating, and creating. This research uses a descriptive quantitative research design. The data of this study were obtained using tests of the students' ability to work on HOTS questions in mathematics learning provided to students by using content validity, while data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the ability of V grade students of SD Negeri 040457 Berastagi in working on HOTS questions in mathematics learning at the level of analyzing questions was obtained on average by 56.35 with quite good categories. In the matter of evaluating level obtained an average of 73,3 with a high category, on the matter of creating level obtained an average of 65,65 with a pretty good category. The conclusion of this research is the ability of V class students of SD Negeri 040457 in working on HOTS questions in mathematics learning is in quite good category, meaning that students are able to work on HOTS questions in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of big book media on the beginning reading abilities of class II students at UPTD SD NEGERI 122358 Pematang Siantar. This research uses quantitative research, a pre-experimental design method using the one group Pretest-Posttest type. The sample in this study was all class II UPTD students at SD Negeri 122358 Pematangsiantar, totaling 24 students. The instruments used in this research were documentation and questionnaires. The technique used in this research is the Normality test and Hypothesis Test (t-test). The results of this research show tcount = 8.735 and ttable= 2.069. From these results it can be seen that tcount>ttable is (8.735>2.069). This means that Ha is accepted, so a decision can be drawn that there is a significant influence of Big Book media on the beginning reading ability of class II UPTD students at SD Negeri 122358 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Dimana dalam penelitian ini topik pembelajaran yang menjadi pembahasan ada pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas III UPTD SD Negeri 122350Pematangsiantar.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif, yang di mana data yang disajikan dalam penelitian ini berupa angka-angka dan analisis menggunakan statistik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan observasi dan dokumentasi.Dalam Penelitian ini  sampel yang diteliti sejumlah 22 orang siswa dengan 11 orang siswa perempuan dan 11 orang siswa laki-laki. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam memperoleh data penelitian adalah dengan menggunakan soal/tes, yang dimana soal/tes tersebut sudah melalui proses Uji Validitas, Uji Reliabilitas, Tingkat Kesukaran dan Daya Pembeda dengan jumlah soal sebanyak 25 butir dengan jenis pilihan berganda. Melalui uji analisis data yang telah dilakukan peneliti dngan menggunakna Uji Normalitas dan Uji Hipotesis dari hasil tes yang diberikan kepada siswa maka, diperoleh thitung >ttabel = 20,293 > 2,079 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas III pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di UPTD SD Negeri 122350 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Pertimbangan dalam pemilihan media pembelajaran adalah SECTIONS (Student, Ease of use, Cost and time, Teacher and selection media, Interaction, Organizational, Networking, Security and privacy) atau dalam bahasa Indonesia dapat disebut siswa, mudah digunakan, biaya dan waktu, pemilihan media berdasarkan pembelajaran, interaksi, pengolahan masalah, membangun jaringan ilmu pengetahuan, dan keamanan. Salah satu hal penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam mengembangkan media koran digital adalah ketepatan pemilihan materi yang nyata, yang digunakan dalam kehidupan nyata pengguna. Media Koran Digital merupakan salah satu solusi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar. Hal ini diasumsikan bahwa hasil belajar PKn tidak dapat dilaksanakan dengan hanya satu media pembelajaran seperti buku paket PKn. Sebagaimana dipahami bersama bahwa saat ini kita berada dalam suatu dasawarsa dimana kecepatan dan intensitas lalu lintas dan komunikasi antar bangsa meningkat secara cepat. Melalui jalur elektronik misalnya, kontak lintas batas atau komunikasi antar bangsa di seluruh penjuru dunia bisa terjadi hanya dalam hitungan detik saja. Tentu saja informasi itu didapatkan dengan membaca dan mendengar dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru sebagai pendidik mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting untuk menjalankan efektifitas pembelajaran di kelas, salah satu indikatornya adalah guru harus mampu memanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektifitas dalam pembelajaran. Teknologi pendidikan mempunyai fungsi dalam proses pembelajaran mengatasi berbagai kesulitan dan mempermudah proses pembelajaran sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kondisi dimana teknologi tersebut diterapkan.

Abstract

required humans to have high level thinking skills. In the world of education, HOTS is the students’ thinking ability who do not only remember but also expected to be able to develop the ideas. This descriptive research aims to determine the ability to think at a higher level and to find out the obstacles in solving HOTS questions in mathematics on fifth grade students. The data was collected by giving a description test and interview to 90 students. The results of the PAP analysis on the final score of the test showed that 50 students (56%) had HOTS Thinking Ability was in the sufficient category. The next part through content analysis, the interview results showed that there were 61 students (68%) students had problems in the process of forming mathematic sentences. Based on this research, it could be concluded that the fifth grade students of SD Markus Medan tend to have sufficient HOTS thinking ability and were still low in answering questions with C6 cognitive domains, while the students' constraints were in the process of forming mathematic sentences. The conclusion obtained had implications in improving students' thinking abilities at each cognitive level through HOTS based assessment.
