Abstract

Learning interest is a phenomenon that emerges from the interaction between individuals and their environment and plays a crucial role in supporting successful learning. However, a decline in students’ learning interest is still frequently observed at various levels of education, as reflected in low student engagement during the learning process, which may be caused by ineffective learning methods and strategies, less engaging learning media, and limited teacher innovation. The use of digital learning media such as Wordwall-based media can create a more enjoyable learning experience, increase student activity and engagement, and foster learning interest. This study aimed to determine the influence of using Wordwall-based learning media on students’ learning interest in Pancasila Education for Grade IV students at MI Tanwirul Ma’arif Takerharjo. The research employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest–posttest design involving all Grade IV students as the research sample. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews and analyzed using statistical and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the average students’ learning interest increased from 56.93 in the pretest to 66.78 in the posttest, with a significance value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. These findings indicate that the use of Wordwall learning media has a significant effect on improving students’ learning interest by creating a more interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere and can be considered an effective alternative in Pancasila Education learning.

Abstract

Character education is an important component in building a moral, disciplined, and responsible generation. Islamic boarding schools have a strategic role in this process through a student management system designed as a model for character development. This study aims to determine: (1) the implementation of the role of the Tanwirul Qulub Islamic Boarding School administrators in shaping the disciplined and responsible character of students; and (2) the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of this role. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method of field research, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, as well as testing the validity of the data using triangulation techniques and sources. The results of the study indicate that the role of administrators is very important in shaping the disciplined and responsible character of students through programs: night roll call, point system, and student summons. Supporting factors in the implementation of these roles include support from the caretakers and supervisors of the boarding school, a clear and consistent system of rules and regulations, and commitment and solidarity among administrators. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors faced by the management include differences in the students' backgrounds, the management's busy schedule in formal academic activities and lectures, and negative influences from peers which make it difficult for the students to receive guidance. Abstract

The family is the first and primary educational environment for children and plays a strategic role in shaping personality, attitudes, and learning achievement. However, not all children grow up in harmonious family environments. Broken home family conditions often have an impact on students’ psychological development and learning achievement. This study aims to describe the conditions of broken home families, students’ learning achievement, and the role of family parenting in supporting students’ learning achievement at MI Islamiyah Sunan Giri Lamongan. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that although students come from broken home families, supportive parenting, emotional attention, and learning motivation provided by parents or guardians are still able to encourage improvements in students’ learning achievement. These findings emphasize that the quality of parenting has a greater influence than the integrity of family structure.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum and the role of teachers in developing love values in students at Darul Ulum Elementary School, Dumpiagung Kembangbahu, Lamongan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants included the principal, class teachers, and educators directly involved in the learning process. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum at MI Darul Ulum has been carried out contextually through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. The values of love are integrated into learning objectives, teacher-student interactions, humanistic learning methods, and classroom management that prioritizes compassion, empathy, and a persuasive approach. The values of love developed include compassion, empathy, tolerance, social awareness, and mutual respect. The role of teachers in the implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum is very significant, namely as designers of value-based learning, facilitators of humanistic learning, role models in daily behavior, and evaluators who assess students' academic development and character continuously. Supporting factors for curriculum implementation include teacher commitment, a religious and humanistic school culture, support from the principal, and a conducive social environment. Inhibiting factors include differences in teachers' understanding of the Love-Based Curriculum concept, limited infrastructure, teachers' administrative burden, and the absence of standard technical guidelines. This study confirms that the Love-Based Curriculum can be implemented effectively through learning practices and school culture even though it has not been formalized in a specific curriculum document.

Abstract

The rapid growth of TikTok as a social media platform has transformed information consumption patterns among Indonesian parents selecting schools for their children. This study analyzes parents' perceptions of TikTok content as a reference in school selection decisions through a qualitative phenomenological approach, using in-depth interviews, limited digital observation (netnography), and field notes. Data were collected from 24 parents in Pasuruan who actively use TikTok and have school-age children (6–15 years). Three dominant perception dimensions emerged: (1) cognitive perception, encompassing conditional trust in information credibility and active verification strategies; (2) affective perception, involving emotional responses to school promotional content, including comparative anxiety; and (3) conative perception, manifested in behavioral tendencies in school search processes. This study proposes the Tri-Dimensional Social Media Perception (MPMS-TD) framework, which integrates Theory of Planned Behavior, Uses and Gratifications Theory, and Algorithmic Trust to explain how these three dimensions interact in TikTok-mediated decision-making. The results indicate that TikTok strongly influences the initial school information search stage, but final decisions remain largely shaped by direct experience and peer recommendations. These findings have practical implications for educational institutions formulating digital communication strategies on short-video platforms. The study is limited to one urban district and findings should not be generalized beyond comparable contexts.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the persistence of intolerance in schools and Islamic schools, indicating the suboptimal role of Islamic education in fostering tolerant character. This study aims to analyze the role of multicultural Islamic education, identify factors influencing its success, and formulate strategies for its implementation in fostering tolerance. The study employed a library research method, reviewing relevant books and scientific articles. Data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively through the stages of reduction, classification, and interpretation. The results indicate that multicultural Islamic education plays a significant role in instilling values of tolerance through the integration of justice, equality, and respect for differences in learning. Successful implementation is influenced by teacher competence, an inclusive curriculum, and a supportive school environment. Conversely, time constraints, low teacher understanding, and a lack of clear policies are key challenges. Effective strategies include the implementation of dialogic learning, the use of participatory methods, and strengthening teacher role models. These findings confirm that multicultural Islamic education is capable of developing tolerant and inclusive students
