Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) carries profound implications for the moral and ethical order of students, particularly within the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to analyze AI’s disruption of students’ moral development, conduct an epistemological critique of existing PAI approaches, and formulate a model for reconstructing ethical agency based on Islamic values. Using a conceptual qualitative approach through library research, this study integrates perspectives from Islamic moral philosophy, contemporary moral agency theory, and critical analysis of digital education literature. The findings reveal that AI has created a condition of “algorithmic moral passivity,” in which students tend to delegate ethical deliberation to automated systems, resulting in the erosion of moral ijtihad capacity. Grounded in Islamic concepts of ‘aql, nafs, and ikhtiyar, this research proposes a Model of Ethical Agency Reconstruction (MRAE) comprising three dimensions: digital tazkiyatun nafs, technology fiqh, and algorithmic musyawarah. This model is intended to serve as an operational framework for PAI teachers in responding to AI-era challenges in a transformative and contextual manner.

Abstract

Improving the quality of teachers is a key factor in realizing the quality of sustainable madrasah education, but there are still many madrasas facing limited resources and have not implemented quality management systematically. This study aims to analyze the implementation of quality management based on the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling) approach in improving the quality of teachers at MI Miftahul Ulum Panyiuran and examine its integration with the values of Islamic education management. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The results of the study showed that planning was carried out in a participatory manner through RKM and RPT, competency-based organization and deliberation, implementation through continuous training and comparative studies, and evaluation through supervision and program evaluation. The implementation of POAC has an impact on improving teacher professionalism, a culture of cooperation, a conducive learning climate, and a quality culture. The integration of the values of tadbir, syūrā, tarbiyah, and muḥāsabah strengthens the moral-spiritual dimension, although there is still a need for more measurable quality indicators.

Abstract

Teachers’ physical health is a crucial factor that affects professional performance, particularly in maintaining optimal teaching enthusiasm in highly demanding educational environments such as pesantren. This study aimed to examine the effect of cycling activity on teachers’ teaching enthusiasm at Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah Bangil. This study used a correlational quantitative approach involving 18 teachers as the sample, selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale-based questionnaire measuring the variables of cycling activity and teaching enthusiasm, and were then analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that teachers’ cycling activity was in the moderate category (M = 3.60), while teachers’ teaching enthusiasm was in the high category (M = 4.10). The hypothesis testing results showed that cycling activity had a significant effect on teachers’ teaching enthusiasm, with a significance value of 0.000, a β coefficient of 0.775, and an R² value of 0.600. These findings indicate that cycling activity was able to explain 60% of the variance in teachers’ teaching enthusiasm. The conclusion of this study confirms that physical activity, particularly cycling, plays an important role in supporting teachers’ psychological condition and pedagogical effectiveness. The implications of this study indicate the need to develop health programs based on physical activity in pesantren environments as a sustainable strategy to improve educational quality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan mengukur efektivitas program wirid harian dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual (SQ) santri di Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment (Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design). Sampel terdiri dari 45 santri yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen (23 santri) dan kelompok kontrol (22 santri), dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan keaktifan dan keseragaman jadwal. Instrumen pengukuran SQ disusun berdasarkan indikator Zohar dan Marshall (2000) yang terdiri dari 30 butir pernyataan skala Likert 1–5, dengan koefisien validitas Product Moment Pearson dan reliabilitas Cronbach's Alpha sebesar 0,891. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program wirid harian secara signifikan meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual santri, dibuktikan dengan nilai t-hitung (6,847) > t-tabel (2,001), df = 58, dan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Nilai N-Gain kelompok eksperimen sebesar 0,62 (kategori sedang) jauh di atas kelompok kontrol sebesar 0,15 (kategori rendah). Keempat dimensi SQ mengalami peningkatan, yakni kemampuan bersikap fleksibel (18,3%), kesadaran diri (21,5%), kemampuan menghadapi penderitaan (16,8%), dan orientasi hidup berbasis nilai Islam (19,2%). Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pembiasaan wirid yang konsisten dan terstruktur efektif dalam pengembangan dimensi spiritual santri di pesantren.

Abstract

Studies on the post-graduation transmission of pesantren knowledge remain limited in the literature on the sociology of Islamic education in Indonesia because previous research has focused more on the internal dynamics of institutions than on the role of alumni as agents of scholarly reproduction. This study aimed to analyze the mechanisms of pesantren knowledge transmission and the reproduction of pesantren habitus within the alumni social space through the Majlis Al-Hikam forum. This study employed a qualitative approach with an ethnographic design and an intensive single-case study conducted over eight months, from September 2025 to April 2026. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with 22 informants, and document analysis, then analyzed inductively using modified grounded theory. The results showed that the practice of ngaji functions as a mechanism of scholarly transmission with relational-spiritual dimensions, rather than merely as the transfer of texts, marked by the reproduction of adab and the charismatic authority of the Teacher outside the institutional space of the pesantren. The practice of silaturahmi also functions as an investment in bonding and bridging social capital, enabling the conversion of social capital into economic and symbolic capital. These findings extend Bourdieu’s concept of habitus by showing that pesantren habitus is not only formed within institutions but is also actively reproduced and negotiated in alternative social spaces created by alumni. Thus, this study affirms that the post-graduation transmission of pesantren knowledge is a dynamic process that goes beyond the nostalgic preservation of scholarly tradition, while also making a theoretical contribution to the development of the sociology of Islamic education and pesantren alumni studies.

Abstract

Kajian tentang pendidikan akhlak dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) selama ini lebih banyak berfokus pada strategi pedagogis di kelas, sementara peran keluarga sebagai lingkungan primer pembentukan karakter serta kaitannya dengan ketahanan keluarga masih relatif jarang dikaji secara integratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis integrasi pendidikan akhlak berbasis ketahanan keluarga dalam kurikulum PAI di MTs Darul Ilmi Banjarbaru, khususnya pada bentuk integrasi nilai, kontribusi ketahanan keluarga terhadap pembentukan akhlak siswa, dan model integratif yang terbentuk antara madrasah dan keluarga. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap tujuh informan yang terdiri atas kepala madrasah, wakil kepala bidang kurikulum, dua guru PAI, wali kelas, orang tua, dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pendidikan akhlak berlangsung melalui keteladanan orang tua, pembiasaan religius di rumah, penguatan nilai di madrasah, serta komunikasi berkelanjutan antara sekolah dan keluarga. Secara teoritis, penelitian ini berkontribusi dengan merumuskan model integratif pendidikan akhlak berbasis ketahanan keluarga yang mempertemukan pemikiran Al-Ghazali tentang pembiasaan dan keteladanan dengan perspektif ketahanan keluarga dalam konteks pendidikan Islam formal.

Abstract

The rapid growth of TikTok as a social media platform has transformed information consumption patterns among Indonesian parents selecting schools for their children. This study analyzes parents' perceptions of TikTok content as a reference in school selection decisions through a qualitative phenomenological approach, using in-depth interviews, limited digital observation (netnography), and field notes. Data were collected from 24 parents in Pasuruan who actively use TikTok and have school-age children (6–15 years). Three dominant perception dimensions emerged: (1) cognitive perception, encompassing conditional trust in information credibility and active verification strategies; (2) affective perception, involving emotional responses to school promotional content, including comparative anxiety; and (3) conative perception, manifested in behavioral tendencies in school search processes. This study proposes the Tri-Dimensional Social Media Perception (MPMS-TD) framework, which integrates Theory of Planned Behavior, Uses and Gratifications Theory, and Algorithmic Trust to explain how these three dimensions interact in TikTok-mediated decision-making. The results indicate that TikTok strongly influences the initial school information search stage, but final decisions remain largely shaped by direct experience and peer recommendations. These findings have practical implications for educational institutions formulating digital communication strategies on short-video platforms. The study is limited to one urban district and findings should not be generalized beyond comparable contexts.

Abstract

Instructional media play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of learning, particularly in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (IRE). However, the use of instructional media in elementary schools remains suboptimal, which impacts students’ understanding. This study aims to analyze the role of instructional media in improving students’ understanding of the IRE subject at SDN 03 Banjar Seminai. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of PAI teachers, students, and the school principal. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive model comprising data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and were validated through source and method triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the use of learning media has been implemented, although it is still limited to simple media. Learning media plays a role in improving students’ understanding by increasing their interest and active participation in learning. Additionally, there are supporting and inhibiting factors: the availability of media and teachers’ willingness serve as supports, while limitations in facilities, time, and skills act as inhibitors. Overall, learning media plays a crucial role in enhancing students’ understanding; therefore, the development of media and the improvement of teachers’ competencies are necessary to optimize the learning process.

Abstract

 Program Daurah Ramadhan di Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah merupakan momentum strategis untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran bahasa Arab melalui pendekatan yang lebih intensif dan terstruktur, program ini selalu diadakan setiap tahun. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mentransformasikan pembelajaran mufradat serta meningkatkan keberanian santri dalam merangkai kata dan mengungkapkan gagasan secara lisan melalui pendampingan berbasis psikologi kognitif dan afektif. Program dilaksanakan selama 20 hari dengan melibatkan 28 santri sebagai peserta, menggunakan model pendampingan harian yang menekankan penguatan memori kosakata, latihan perangkaian kalimat sederhana, serta pembinaan motivasi dan regulasi emosi dalam berbicara. Pendekatan kognitif diterapkan melalui teknik repetition, active recall, dan asosiasi makna, sedangkan pendekatan afektif dilakukan melalui penguatan motivasi intrinsik, dukungan emosional, dan praktik berbicara dalam suasana yang suportif. Evaluasi program dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, perbandingan kemampuan pra dan pasca intervensi, serta analisis perkembangan mufradat aktif dan perilaku verbal peserta. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan peserta, ditandai dengan kenaikan rata-rata mufradat aktif dari 4,2 menjadi 19,7 kata, serta peningkatan persentase peserta yang mampu berbicara mandiri dari 10,7% menjadi 78,6%. Selain itu, indikator afektif seperti keberanian berbicara dan kepercayaan diri juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pendekatan kognitif dan afektif dalam pembelajaran intensif Ramadhan efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi linguistik sekaligus kesiapan psikologis peserta didik.

Abstract

Textbook-based tajwid learning is an important strategy for improving the quality of students’ Qur’an recitation, particularly in the context of pesantren education. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of using Mukhtashar Ilmu Tajwid li al-Nasyi’in in improving students’ Qur’an reading ability at Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah (Dalwa). This study used a descriptive qualitative approach focusing on the experiences of students and ustaz in the routine tajwid learning process. The research subjects consisted of 40 students aged 14–18 years and three teaching ustaz. The research design comprised three stages, namely pre-intervention, intervention, and post-intervention, with learning methods including talaqqi, musyafahah, demonstration, drill, and murojaah. The results showed that the use of Mukhtashar Ilmu Tajwid li al-Nasyi’in helped students master makharijul huruf, sifatul huruf, the rules of nun sukun and tanwin, the rules of mim sukun, mad wal qashr, qalqalah, as well as waqaf and ibtida’. Although there were challenges in the form of heterogeneous initial abilities among students and limited time allocation, the combination of structural textbook-based learning methods proved effective in improving the accuracy of tajwid rule application and the quality of students’ Qur’an recitation. These findings provide a practical contribution to the development of tajwid learning in pesantren through the use of systematic textbooks and learning methods oriented toward recitation accuracy.
