Abstract

The  aims  of  this  research  is  to find   the  influence  of  giving   isolate  probiotic   BAL Streptococcus  thermophillus from the fish  waste toward the broilers' appearance of woof and the degree of broilers'  cholesterol. The research materials are 40 roosters of broiler Strain  Lohmann, production  of PT Multi  Breeder Adirama  at the age of 1 week. The probiotic of isolate treatment of Lactate Acid  Bacteria (BAL) which is used in this research is Streptococcus  thermophillus bacteria in from of freeze dying which comes from  Nutrition Biochemical Laboratory, Veterinary Faculty of UGM The treatment I is as the control (without BAL), the number of BAL in treatment  II is  106 CFU/ml,  the number of BAL in treatment III is 107 CFU/ml, the number of BAL in treatment IV is 108 CFU/ml. The data collection for the degree of cholesterol is done after 28 days. The data which is collected of woof and the degree of broilers'  cholesterol.  The research result: the treatment of giving  lactate  acid bacteria of Streptococcus thermophillus caused the decrease  of the degree of broilers' cholesterol significantly and the best level of BAL is 108 CFU/ml.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to desain and to test the biodiesel processing  unit from waste cooking oil, to examine the characteristics  of processed  biodiesel, and to apply the biodiesel on diesel engine to ensure that there will not be a problem  on the tested diesel engine. This research is an experiment  research  carried out by several steps, designing waste cooking-biodiesel processing unit, examining the characteristics ofbiodiesel made, and applying the biodiesel on diesel  engine. The result showed that the biodtesel processing  unit that was  made could work well to produce biodiesel. The biodiesel characteristics are comparable with diesel oil and the biodiesel is applicable on diesel engine without any problems accured. Keywords: biodiesel, waste cooking oil, alternative fuel, diesel engine

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to: Investigating the level of landslide susceptibility and identifying the distribution of landslide   susceptibility locations in Menoreh Mountains area. This is the  explorative research. The subject of this research are Menoreh Mountains  area in Bagelen, and Bener districts Purworejo regency, in addition to Samigaluh District in Kulonprogo Regency. Land units  were chosen as the sample using the purposive area sampling technique.  Thirty land units were obtained by overlay maps of slope, geology,  and soil types. Data collecting  was conducted  with observation method and documentation  to be analyzed by qualitative deskriptif. Findings shown that (I) the level of landslide susceptibility  that is in four  categories in Samigaluh and Bener districts are low, medium, high, and very high.  While three categories were low, medium, and high clasified in Bagelen  district. The distributions of low landslide susceptibility covered about 46.500.527,08 m2 (2 land units in Samigaluh, 3 land units in Bener, and 3 land units in Bagelen). The medium categories covered about  104480073,8  m2 (l land units in Samigaluh,  4 land units in Bener, and 7 land units in Bagelen). High categories covered about 67734399,31 m2 (each of district is 2 land units). The very high categories covered about 12228602,01 m2 (2 land units for both, Samigaluh and Bener District). Key words: landslide, susceptibility,  mitigation, hazard, Menoreh

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to study of the structure type of titanium dioxide (TiO2) obtained form the ex-situ condensation of hydrated hydrogen titanates with the structure type of lepidocrocite. Hydrated hydrogen titanates were obtained by ion exchabge of H+ for Cs+ in cesium titanates by 1 M HCl solution by Chimie Douce method. The results show that TiO2 (B), anatase, and anatase-rutile mixture were obtained heat treatment of hydrated hydrogen titanate at 100, 200, 300, 500, and 600oc respectively. The powders were characterized by X-rays diffractometer (XRD), High Resolution Scanning Electron Microscopy (HRSEM) and High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM). The research indicated that the protonic titanate, H0.54 Ti1.865 0.135O4 0.5H2O ( =vacancy), lost the interlayer water by being heated up to 200oC to produce a dehydrated phase, H0.54 Ti1.865 0.135O4. Above 300oC, the dehydrated phase completely transformed to TiO2(B) and anatase was obtained as pure phase at 600oC. The phase transformed as the following process: H0.54Ti1.865 0.135O4 0.5H2O à H0.54Ti1.865 0.135O4 0.25H2Oà H0.54Ti1.865 0.135O4 à TiO2(B) à TiO2-anatase.

Abstract

This aims of this research is to build and to make performance test a software prototpe of adaptive control system with perceptron learning algorithm.Needs analysis is performed to find an adaptive control system specifications are required, the result is a blue print software, after a modification of the learning algorithms are tailored to the programming language, the result is a flow chart design. Software implementation is based on the flow chart that was created by using a developed by research and development approach. The results showed that th group data in the analytical calculations with research data from a running program at every step in iteration, there was no sognificant difference between the description of data in two research groups.ub 0{ sb`5P8 ( =vacancy), lost the interlayer water by being heated up to 200oC to produce a dehydrated phase, H0.54 Ti1.865 0.135O4.
