Abstract

This study was aimed at analyzing the effect of opening type on the thermal convenience of classrooms in old and new buildings at SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta. This study used a qualitative comparative method and the simulation of IES VE 2018. The field air measurement is carried out at 10 measurement points and 5 measurement points in each class, with a height of 1.5 m. Field measurements were carried out in March 2019, at 06.30-16.30 WIB. The parameters used in the study were air temperature, humidity and wind speed. Air temperature and humidity were measured using a Thermo hygrometer. Wind speed was measured using an anemometer. The data collection method is carried out by observation and measurement. Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) was used to validate the data. The results show the best thermal convenience of the classroom was obtained during the simulation using the type of Windows Awning, with a full aperture area. Simulation results show a comfortable distribution of airflow in the classroom at wind speeds above 0.15-0.28 m/sec, Temperature 25.07-27.10oC.PENGARUH TIPE BUKAAN TERHADAP KENYAMANAN TERMAL RUANG KELAS BANGUNAN LAMA DAN BARU Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu menganalisis pengaruh bukaan terhadap kenyamanan termal ruang kelas pada bangunan lama dan baru, di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The aim of the researh is to analyse of thiocyanate on urine. In this research, thiocyanate is oxidized by hypochlorite to cyanide that can react with ninhydrin to form a red complex compound called hydrindantin. The color intensity of red hydrindantin is proprotional to thiocyanate concentration. The higher thiocyanate concentration then the higher color intensity is. The optimum condition to form hydrindantin, such as pH, concentration of hypochlorite, and time stability of hydrindantin formation was studied using spectrophotometry at maximum wavelength of 489.50nm. The optimum condition for hydrindantin complex were pH of 10, concentration of hypochlorite of 0.05M, and the time stability of hydrindatin is 15 minutes. The proposed test kit can be used to determine thiocyanate concentration at range of 1-10ppm. The test kit has been applied to synthetic sample and urine, also compared the result to those obtained from standard spectrophotometric method to based formation of complex Fe(SCN)2+.

Abstract

Chalcone derivate compound [3-(4’-hydroxy-3’-methoxyphenyl) -1-phenyl-2- propene-1-on)] or para hydroxyl meta methoxy chalcone (pHmMC) has been observed. It showed that it is able to induce apoptosis (cell death) in MCF-7 breast cancer cell. This study was aimed at fi nding out the apoptosis mechanism pathway of pHmMC on MCF-7 cells by observing its effect on Bcl-2 and Bax proteins. The protein expression was observed by using immunocytochemistry (ICC) and analyzed using ImageJ software. The results showed that the pHmMC induce apoptosis through mechanism that decrease expression of Bcl-2 and increase expresion of Bax proteins.

Abstract

This study was aimed at determining the activity of Marsh Fleabane leaves extract against Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae mortality. Marsh Fleabane leaves extract was obtained using ethanol solvent. After obtaining the viscous extract, the extract was fractionated with solvent n-hexan and ethyl acetate. The ability of this biolarvaside was determined by LC50 value and reinforced by identifying of active compound content. This biolarvaside test was conducted on Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae with variation of extract concentration 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 ppm during 24 hours observation. Identification of compound content was done by testing the sample with GC-MS analysis. The results show that the yield of ethyl acetate extract equal to 1.86%. The LC value of this ethyl acetate extract was 105.79 ppm. The obtained LC50 values including active biolarvacidal groups and positive controls using abate had LC100 values at 100 ppm concentrations. Meanwhile, the LC50 value on granules using marsh Fleabane leaves extract content was obtained at 96.34ppm and LC90 was 905.1 ppm. The ability of active biolarvaside is corroborated by GC-MS analysis results indicating that the biolarvacid content of active compounds contained in ethyl acetate extract expected as quinic acid

Abstract

The yellow passion fruit (Passiflora edulis var. Jlavicarpa) is formulated into a nutraceutical product in the form of a gummy candies preparation. Furthermore, various tests of gummy candies produced were organoleptic test, weight uniformity test, and favorite level test. Based on the results of the research, yellow passion fruit (Passiflora edulis var.jlavicarpa) can be formulated into good nutraceutical products in the form of gummy candies preparations. The result of organoleptic test showed that the preparation of gummy candies formula 3 with the base of mannitol and corn syrup (25%: 75%) had the best form, color, taste, odor and texture compared to other formula. Based on the results of uniformity test weight is known that the variation in the ratio of mannitol and corn syrup as the basis of gummy candies does not affect the uniformity of weight but affects the form of gummy candies preparations. Based on the results of hedonic test of respondents for the parameters of shape, color, taste, odor, and texture of gummy candies of passion fruit essence, formula 3 is the most preferred formula by the respondents.
