Abstract

Hypothermia is a serious general complication of surgery and anesthesia which can carry out various complications. The action to overcome this problem is the administration of heating measures, one of which is by warm infusion. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of warm infusion on body temperature stability in postoperative general anesthesia patients. The research method used was a pre experimental one group without control with a pretest posttest study. Respondents of this study were postoperative patients with general anesthesia. The population of this study was post operative patients under general anesthesia. The sampling in this study was purposive sampling. The number of samples in this study was 17. Respondents received 30 degrees Celsius warming fluid infusion. The analysis in this study used a comparative test paired t test with the result of P value 0,000. The P value shows a significant effect between giving warm infusions and body temperature stability. Based on descriptive statistical analysis, 76,4 percent of respondents achieved normothermia in the 35th minute. In the 60th minute, all respondents were in a normothermic state. Suggestions for further research to conduct research with more sample sizes. Keywords: Warm Infusion, General Anesthesia, Body Temperature

Abstract

Management of postoperative patients with general anesthesia is very important. Postoperative patients with general anesthesia that are not properly managed can go through delays in conscious recovery. Delay in conscious recovery in postoperative patients with general anesthesia can be caused by dosing that is not appropriate to the patient's condition based on body mass index and type of operation. This study aimed to determine the relationship of body mass index (BMI) and type of operation with time of conscious recovery in postoperative patients with general anesthesia in the Recovery Room at Bangil Hospital. The research design used is correlation analysis. The sample was 37 people using quota sampling according to the inclusion criteria. The research instruments used were the body mass index, type of operation and time to recover consciously observation sheet. The method of data analysis used Pearson Test where the results showed that the body mass index and type of operation with time of recovery were relatively small (10.8%), there are 4 people go through a delay in recovering consciously with a significant value of 0,000 and 0.020 which means there is a relationship between body mass index and the type of operation with recovering consciously in postoperative patients with general anesthesia in the Recovery Room at Bangil Hospital. From the results of the study, it is expected that the hospital can improve the management and observation of postoperative patients by giving a dose of anesthetic according to the patient's condition. Abstract

Bronchial asthma is a reversible narrowing or inflammation of the bronchi characterized by wheezing, coughing and increased respiratory rate. Handling of asthma can be done with pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. One of the non pharmacological therapies that can be done is diaphragmatic breathing exercise. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of administration of diaphragmatic breathing exercise on changes in the respiratory rate in asthma patients. The research design used is Quasy Experimental with the type of Non-Equivalent Control Group design. The large sample taken was 14 respondents with incidental sampling technique. This study uses an analysis of the difference in the Paired T Test which shows a decrease in the respiratory rate, as evidenced by the treatment group's p-value of 0.00. Furthermore, the results of the Independent T Test showed no difference between the treatment and control groups, but clinically there was an effect of diaphragmatic breathing exercise on the decrease in the respiratory rate in the treatment group of 3.571 times per minute greater than the control group of 2.714 timer per minute. Diaphragmatic Breathing Exercise therapy is expected to be an alternative therapy for reducing tightness in asthma patients Keywords: Diaphragmatic Breathing Exercise, Respiratory Rate, Asthma

Abstract

Hypertension is a disease of the cardiovascular system characterized by abnormal blood pressure above 140-90 mmHg. Efforts to reduce blood pressure can be done with non-pharmacological and pharmacological therapy. One of non-pharmacological therapy is a combination of diaphragmatic breathing exercise and guided imagery. The aim of this research was to study a combination of diaphragmatic breathing exercise and guided imagery of changes in blood pressure in hypertensive patients. The research design used is Quasy Experimental with the type of Pre-Post test Control Group Design. The large sample taken was 28 respondents with purposive sampling technique. This study uses the Shapiro-Wilk normality test which shows p-value less than 0.05 so that data distribution is not normal. Furthermore, the analysis of differences using Wilcoxon showed a decrease in blood pressure in the experiment and control group. Although the Mann-Whitney test did not show differences between the experiment and control group, clinically there was a combination of diaphragmatic breathing exercise and guided imagery to decrease blood pressure, as evidenced by the p-value of systolic 0.001 less than p-value diastolic which is 0.007. The combination of diaphragmatic breathing exercise and guided imagery is expected to be an alternative therapy for lowering blood pressure in hypertension. Abstract

Postoperative patients with general anesthesia who experience complications In the respiratory system, respiratory depression is found to be associated with decreased oxygen saturation. The Pursed Lip Breathing exercise is a non-pharmacological action aimed at facilitating the process of removing air trapped by the airways in an effort to increase the value of oxygen saturation. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of Pursed Lip Breathing on oxygen saturation in post general anesthesia patients. This study used Quasy-experiment With Pretest Posttest Control Group Desaign. The sampling used in this study was a non-probability sampling type of purposive sampling with 30 respondents divided into 15 control groups and 15 treatment groups. The test used in this study was to examine the differences between pre and post, intervention groups and control groups using the Wiloxon test then to compare the results of the post-intervention group and Post group control groups using the independent Mann Whitney test. The results showed a p value of 0.039 (p value less than 0.05) in the pre and post control group and in the treatment group p-value 0.001 (p value less than 0.05) This shows that the pre and post oxygen saturation values in the two groups differed while the post-test difference in the control and treatment groups was 0.015 (p value less than 0.05), so there was a difference in oxygen saturation in patients given general anesthesia and not used pursued lip breathing. Thus the pursed lip breathing has an influence on oxygen saturation in patients with post general anethesia. The next recommendation is the relationship of the value of carbon dioxide (CO2) levels that can affect the value of oxygen saturation.
