Abstract

Hypertension may cause pre-eclampsia that may lead to mortality. Puskesmas Bangetayu has the highest case of pre-eclampsia in Semarang, which is 14 cases of severe preeclampsia in 2014. The purpose of this study was to discover the association between vitamin A, C, E, and Zinc adequacy ratio as antioxidant and systolic-diastolic blood pressure of pregnant women. This observational analytic study used quantitative method with cross-sectional study design. Population of this study is pregnant women in the operational area of Puskesmas Bangetayu in July-August 2017.  Eighty-five subjects were chosen using purposive sampling technique. Structured interview, Food Frequency Questionnaire, physical activity recalls, and blood pressure measurement were used to collect the data. The data was processed with Rank Spearman and Chi Square. The result showed that most of the subjects had normal systolic-diastolic blood pressure, adequate ratio of vitamin C, and inadequate ratio of vitamin A, E and zinc. About 67% of subjects had energy deficiency, 50.6% had protein deficiency, and the mean of fat intake was 12.7%. This study demonstrates that there are associations between vitamin C adequacy ratio and systolic (p-value=0.009) and diastolic (p-value=0.017) blood pressure. There is no association between vitamin A, E, and zinc adequacy ratio with blood pressure. Puskesmas is suggested to take care of maternal antioxidant requirement and provide education concerning antioxidant-rich foods.

The application of the CCAI SMK3 supported by K3 program one of them is OHS Planned Inspection. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) program Planned Inspection in CCAI. The subjects of this study amounted to five people as the main informants and 2 as an informant triangulation. The results showed key informants already knew this progrtam, goals, objectives, and program execution time. The attitude of key informants agreed with this program and in this  implementation need a good communication to superiors, as well as to the team below. The availability of facilities in the form is a checklist. The main informant had never been trained filling checklist. SOP that there has not been spread widely disseminated to all employees including key informants. Supervision only from an informant triangulation and has not from the respective. The results showed a less training and supervision provided by the OHS (Occupational Health Safety). This resulted in the knowledge and attitudes of employees is still low on the implementation of Planned Inspection program. CCAI need to provide training to fill the key informant checklist to improve the capability and compliance in conducting Planned Inspection program. Improve the surveilance and communication in the implementation of the program.

Abstract

The process of degeneration in the elderly less acurate results in height measurement, which has an impact on BMI calculation. Julia Pertiwi created a formula to measure elderly’s height by combining knee height and arm span for Javanese community. The purpose of this study was to determine the compatibility of elderly’s height predictor dan Body Mass Index measurements based on knee height and arm span. This quantitative study used a cross-sectional design. Height was measured by stadiometer, weight by digital scales, knee height by Knee Height Caliper, and arm span by measuring tape. Comparison were conducted through Anova and Kruskal-Wallis tests. This study was conducted on Javanese community in Sambiroto village, Semarang. Fifty two subjects, 18 men and 34 women were aged 60 yeares and over, stand up straightly, and Javanese. Exclusion criteria were hunchback, disability, stiff joints, tremor, fracture, and arm span deformities. The results showed that there was no difference actual height and BMI based on actual height with height and BMI based on Fatmah’s formula (knee height and arm span), Julia’s formula, and Chumlea’s formula on men. There was difference height and BMI based on actual height with height and BMI based on Fatmah’s formula (knee height and arm span), Julia’s formula, and Chumlea’s formula on women. Conclusion: there was a suitability of elderly’s height predictor and BMI measurements based on knee height and arm span. The Fatmah’s formula based on arm span was the best formula for calculating height and BMI on men, and Julia’s formula was the best formula for women, because these formulas had closest results with height and BMI based on actual height. Suggestions for the next researcher should increase the number of samples and be carried out in different ethnicities.

Abstract

Ants are one of the insects that are opportunist or adaptable  in various places, including hospitals. Ants that are famous as pest in hospital is Monomorium sp. In the United Kingdom it has been reported that the main problem caused by these ants are skin irritation and skin lesions that develop into infections, because of the presence of microorganisms carried by these ants. The purpose of this research is to determine the types of bacteria carried by Monomorium sp. in the  “X” Hospital of Kendal district. Sampling is done by trapping with bait trap which was carried out in class III inpatient room at X Hospital of Kendal district. Identification of ants using the Key to Vietnamese literature Myrmicinae Genera and Key to Australian Genera of Myrmicinae. Three positive rooms were found in Monomorium sp. there are inpatient room of pediatric patients (30.8%), inpatient room of postpartum patients (46.1%) and inpatient room of patients in internal medicine 1 (23.1%). The bacteria found in Monomorium sp. were Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus sp. and Bacillus sp. An integrated ants control in hospital and socialization to patients, visitors or officers about the importance of preventing contact between body, food and drink with ants in the hospital is required to minimize their potential as vector of agent of diseases, especially bacteria.

Abstract

In 2016, 42% of all children’s HIV cases of Indonesia happen in Jakarta. Besides catching HIV from their mothers, children can get infected if they become victims of sexual abuse. Sexual abuse can causes HIV because the perpetrators usually done the act with many victims.Sexual abuse experience also gives negative effects on child’s psychological and social development. As high as 33,7% of all sexual abuse cases towards children of Indonesia happen in Jakarta. The tendency to have sexual intercourse with children is called Pedophilia. Most of the pedophiles that were caught in Jakarta have been sentenced in Lapas Klas I Cipinang, which is the biggest in the city. This research aims to identify the factors that support the behaviour of the pedophile prisoners of Lapas cipinang. This research uses the qualitative method. This research uses 6 prisoners as main informan and 3 triangulation informans. Datas collected with indepth interview and processed with content analysis. The results of this research shows  that the factors of pedophilic behaviour of prisoners of Lapas cipinang are the evaluation that this behavior gives advantages, positive attitude and normative belief toward the behaviour, motivations and positive subjective norm in the act, and the intentions before the act. As shown above, providing private phsycologs for Pedophilic prisoners is suggested for Lapas Klas I Cipinang Jakarta.  Giving communication, information, and education about early sexual education is suggested for Ministry of Women and Child Protection, schools, and parents to avoid addition of Pedophilia victim in Indonesia, especially Jakarta.

Abstract

Medical liquid waste is all wastewater originating from the activities of the hospital and contains microorganisms, toxic chemicals, hazardous radioactive and other hazardous materials. Wastewater with high organic content can cause environmental pollution. Characteristics of high organic waste water shown by the high parameter Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) in wastewater. High levels of COD can cause a decrease in dissolved oxygen in water. Then needed alternative biological sewage treatment systems which is a Constructed Wetlands System. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the combined Constructed Wetlands system mexican sword plant and activated carbon to reduce the COD levels. The research is a quasi experimental study with pretest-posttest design with control group. The total sample is 48 sample which 32 treatment and 16 control samples. Anova test results with significant p-value <0.05 indicates that the treatment combined mexican sword plant and activated carbon and mexican sword plant treatment and control provide varying levels of COD. The average COD level before treatment was 86.18 mg/L, 86.95 mg/L, 87.66 mg/L. The precentage decreased levels of COD in control is 30,37%, and mexican sword plant treatment is 53.98% and combined of mexican sword plant and activated carbon treatment is 69.76%. Constructed Wetlands systems capability mexican sword plant and activated carbon have been effective in lowering COD levels of hospital wastewater because the result is already well below the standards based Central Java Provincial Regulation No. 5 in 2012 of 80 mg/L. Therefore, this system can be applied to hospital wastewater treatment.
