Abstract

Porter's activity of manually carrying goods by putting them on their shoulders may cause burden and unnatural posture of the neck bone so it may affect pain in neck. The purpose of this research is to acknowledge the correlation between work load, load weight, work posture, flexing posture, weight lifting duration, and working duration with neck pain on porters at Merak Ferry Port Banten. This observational study is conducted in cross-sectional approach. Population in this study are porters of Merak Ferry Port Banten in number of 64 persons. The sampling method uses total population sampling with criterias. Correlation analysis uses Rank Spearman correlation test. Based on the results, it was found that variables related to neck pain complaints were work load (p-value  = 0,031), handling posture (p-value = 0,018), and work duration (p-value = 0,047). Variables unrelated to neck pain were load weight (p-value = 0,144), lifting posture (p-value = 0,774), lifting duration (p-value = 0,144), and flexing posture (p-value = 0,974). It is necessary to implement working hour policy of 8 hours a day with maximum overtime of 3 hours as well as health service assistance from local health center. Porters should apply the correct manual handling positions.

On the other hand, water qualities are one of the most important factors in fishery, because it can have an effect to human’s health. The aim of this research is to know the bioconcentration value of copper in Oreochromis mossambicus at Rawapening and maximum limit of daily consumption of fish which is safe for human. Sampling was done by purposive sampling by buying catches to fishermen directly and through collectors. Measurement of copper concentration in water and fish used the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry method. Concentration of copper in water at Rawapening has exceeded the quality standard of government regulation in Indonesia Number 82 of 2001 which was equal to 0.063 mg/l. Consentration of copper in Oreochromis mossambicus has exceeded the quality standard of Indonesia National Standard which was equal to 0.6 mg/kg. Bioconcentration of Oreochromis mossambicus in Rawapening was equal to 10.26. The BCF category the Cu metals fall into the category of low accumulation. The maximum daily consumption limit of catch fish in Rawapening was 3.280 g/day for adult women and 3.900 grams/day for adult men. The average consumption of Rawapening community was 218±37 grams/day and the median value 225±37 grams/day. Nutritional status was measured by weight scale and the Z-score was analyzed using WHO Anthro Plus. Food intake data was collected using food recall and processed using Nutrisurvey. Data was analyzed using Chi-Square, Rank Spearman and Pearson Product Moment Correlation test. The results showed that 11,67% respondents were malnutrition and 88,3% had normal nutrition, consumption of manufacturer complementary feeding was 20%, local was 28,3%, combination was 51,7%. Mother’s education <9 years was 33,3%, mothers were not working 70%, economy status was poor 22,3%. Level of energy less than RDA 43,3%, level of protein more than RDA 70%.
