Abstract

Learning involves the active interaction of individuals with their environment, leading to behavioral changes. Effective learning encompasses being student-centered, promoting educational interaction, creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, using various methods, providing suitable materials, and ensuring a conducive environment and supporting facilities. This study aimed to improve critical thinking skills about the environment in elementary social studies by applying audio-visual learning media. Using a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, the research involved 32 grade V students from SD Negeri 1 Kabunderan, Purbalingga Regency. The results showed a significant relationship between the audio-visual learning model and ecological intelligence (p = 0.038) and between the audio-visual learning model and critical reasoning ability (p = 0.037). These findings indicate that audio-visual media effectively enhances both ecological awareness and critical thinking skills in elementary social studies learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of Global Diversity through the Child-friendly School Program utilizing the 5S culture (Smile, Greeting, Salutation, Politeness, Courtesy) at SD KorwilBiddik South Cilacap, and to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors of learning to strengthen Global Diversity through this program in the South CilacapBiddik Regional Council. Using a descriptive qualitative research approach, the study focuses on students, teachers, and elementary school principals in both public and private schools in the region, particularly on the implementation of child-friendly schools through the 5S culture to enhance the character of global diversity among students. The findings reveal that schools in the South CilacapBiddik Regional Council have effectively implemented child-friendly school policies and integrated the 5S program into daily school activities. The supporting factors include school policies, teachers, the school environment, parents, supportive subject matter, and adequate facilities and infrastructure. However, there are inhibiting factors such as inconsistencies among school residents in implementing the program, the diversity of student characteristics, and differing habits of students at school and at home. Despite these challenges, the 5S program has been well-implemented daily, fostering respectful and friendly behavior towards teachers and peers, thereby enhancing students' global diversity character.

Abstract

This research discusses the enforcement of the constitution and justice in the determination of political parties as participants in the general elections in Indonesia in 2024. Given the critical role of political parties in democratic processes, understanding the challenges in their registration is essential for enhancing electoral integrity. The method used in this research is qualitative research. Specifically, the data and information related to this research were collected through a comprehensive literature study. Through an in-depth analysis of the political party registration process, this research identifies a number of challenges and obstacles faced, including technical problems in the application of information technology, a lack of administrative understanding by political parties, and a mismatch in treatment between parliamentary and non-parliamentary parties. In addition, the research also highlights the government's role in overseeing and facilitating the institution of political parties in line with the principles of financial accountability and transparency. The findings suggest that technical issues and administrative disparities must be addressed to ensure fair competition among parties. As such, this research makes an important contribution to efforts to improve the integrity and credibility of Indonesia's political system, moving towards more inclusive, transparent, and fair elections. The implications of these findings are significant for policymakers and electoral bodies aiming to strengthen democratic processes in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine how employing Guided Discovery Learning tools alongside fractional wheels, as well as enhancing learning motivation, impacts the enhancement of critical thinking abilities among elementary school students. Essential 21st-century skills include critical thinking, digital literacy, information literacy, media literacy, and proficiency in information and communication technology. The goal of mathematics education is for students to develop logical, critical, analytical, meticulous, and responsible abilities. Mathematics and critical thinking are intrinsically linked, as mathematics is understood through critical thinking, and critical thinking is trained through mathematics. Students with strong critical thinking skills can solve problems effectively, preparing them to face real-world challenges and global competition in the 21st century. The research method used is quantitative descriptive research with a correlational approach. Data analysis involved statistical methods, including multiple regression analysis and partial tests (t-tests). The regression analysis F-test indicates that Guided Discovery Learning and learning motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on students' critical thinking. The first partial t-test shows that Guided Discovery Learning impacts critical thinking, and the second t-test indicates that learning motivation influences critical thinking. Based on these results, the Guided Discovery Learning method supported by fractional wheels and enhanced learning motivation significantly improves students' critical thinking patterns.

Abstract

In Indonesia, three inheritance law systems apply namely civil, Islamic, and customary inheritance law. These three legal systems are implemented because there is no national inheritance law that can regulate all Indonesian people. This study aims to explain the position and inheritance rights of adopted children in the view of the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) and customary law. This research is descriptive normative legal research. Considering that the object of this study is the issue of the position and inheritance rights of adopted children as seen from Islamic inheritance law and customary law (jurisprudence), this type of research uses a normative juridical approach with a library research pattern. The research results showed that according to KHI, adopted children are not recognized as heirs of their adoptive parents, because the main principle of Islamic inheritance is a blood relationship. Meanwhile, according to Supreme Court jurisprudence, adopted children are equated with biological children and are considered capable of inheriting the assets of their adoptive parents.
