Jurnal ini bertujuan menjadi media diseminasi ilmiah bagi dosen, peneliti, akademisi, dan praktisi dalam menyebarluaskan gagasan, hasil riset, serta pengembangan teori yang bersifat analitis, reflektif, dan kontekstual dalam bidang Studi Islam. Abstract

Religious moderation is a crucial issue in Indonesia's multicultural and pluralistic society. In this context, the religious traditions of the Muslim community in the Indonesian archipelago play a strategic role as a medium for internalizing moderate Islamic values. This study aims to identify the values ​​of religious moderation embodied in the Muslim religious traditions of the Indonesian archipelago, analyze their manifestations, and explain their relevance in maintaining social harmony. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research. Data were obtained from various literature sources, including books, journal articles, and official documents discussing Islam Nusantara, religious moderation, and Islamic religious traditions. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically through data reduction, categorization, and interpretation. The results indicate that the Muslim religious traditions of the Indonesian archipelago embody values ​​of religious moderation such as tolerance, balance, inclusivity, and respect for diversity. These traditions serve as a means of strengthening social cohesion and harmonizing religious life. Thus, the religious traditions of the Indonesian archipelago hold significant relevance in strengthening religious moderation amidst social dynamics and global challenges.

Abstract

Gender justice is one of the central issues in contemporary Islamic discourse and often becomes a subject of debate between normative religious teachings and social practices. The Qur’an, as the primary source of Islamic teachings, contains universal principles of justice, including those related to gender relations. This study aims to examine the concept of gender justice from the Qur’anic perspective using a thematic interpretation (maudhu’i) approach. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research design. The data are derived from Qur’anic verses related to gender relations, classical and contemporary Qur’anic commentaries, as well as relevant scholarly literature. Data analysis is conducted through the identification, classification, and thematic interpretation of the selected verses. The findings indicate that the Qur’an emphasizes gender justice through principles of spiritual equality, balance of social roles, and fairness in rights and responsibilities. Differences in roles between men and women are not intended as forms of discrimination but rather as a distribution of responsibilities based on justice. Therefore, the Qur’anic concept of gender justice remains relevant as a foundational framework for fostering just and harmonious gender relations in contemporary Muslim societies.

Abstract

Ijtihad, mujtahid, and fatwa are three fundamental elements in the Islamic legal system that serve to maintain the relevance of sharia amidst ever-evolving social dynamics. This article aims to conceptually examine the meaning of ijtihad, the qualifications of mujtahid, and the position of fatwa in Islam, while also explaining the functional relationship between them. This research uses a qualitative approach with library research methods, using data sources in the form of the Quran, hadith, classical texts, and contemporary literature on ushul fiqh and Islamic law. The data are analyzed descriptively and analytically to gain a comprehensive understanding of the role of ijtihad and fatwa in addressing legal issues not explicitly addressed in the texts. The results of the study indicate that ijtihad is the primary mechanism in legal exploration, the mujtahid plays an authoritative role in the process, and the fatwa serves as a legal product that serves as practical guidance for the community. This article emphasizes that the sustainability of Islamic law depends crucially on the integration of these three elements to ensure that sharia remains dynamic, contextual, and grounded in the principles of revelation.

Abstract

Maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah is a fundamental concept in Islamic law that emphasizes that every legal provision aims to achieve human welfare. This article aims to analyze the concept of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah and its application in Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), particularly in responding to contemporary social, economic, and humanitarian challenges. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research, drawing data from the Qur’an, hadith, classical and contemporary Islamic scholars’ works, and relevant academic journals. The data are analyzed using a descriptive-analytical method to explore the development of maqāṣid theory and its implications for the dynamics of Islamic law. The findings indicate that maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah, through its classification into ḍarūriyyāt, ḥājiyyāt, and taḥsīniyyāt, serves as a crucial foundation for protecting the five essential values: religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property. The maqāṣid-based approach enables fiqh to be more flexible, contextual, and adaptive while remaining grounded in Islamic legal principles. Therefore, maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah plays a strategic role in ensuring that Islamic law remains relevant, responsive, and just in the modern era.

Abstract

Fiqh studies constitute an essential component in the development of Islamic law, serving as a normative and practical framework to address various issues faced by the Muslim community. This article aims to examine the concept of fiqh and its scope of study in Islam, as well as to analyze its role in responding to social dynamics and contemporary changes. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods. The data are derived from the Qur’an, hadith, classical fiqh literature, and relevant contemporary scholarly works on Islamic law. Data analysis is conducted through a descriptive-analytical method to explore the concept of fiqh, its objects of study, and its relevance in modern life. The findings indicate that fiqh functions not merely as a collection of practical legal rulings, but also as a dynamic and contextual instrument of ijtihad. This flexibility enables Islamic law to remain relevant in addressing evolving social, economic, and cultural issues. Therefore, fiqh studies play a strategic role in maintaining harmony between the normative texts of Islamic law and the realities of Muslim life.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of amtsāl (Qur’anic parables) according to Jalaluddin as-Suyuthi in Al-Itqān fī ‘Ulūm al-Qur’ān, focusing on its definition, classification, objectives, and functions. Employing a qualitative library research approach, this study analyzes primary data from Al-Itqān and relevant classical and contemporary works on ‘ulūm al-Qur’an. The findings indicate that amtsāl serves as a rhetorical and pedagogical method to concretize abstract meanings through analogy, making Qur’anic messages more accessible and impactful. As-Suyuthi classifies amtsāl into amtsāl al-muṣarraḥah (explicit parables) and amtsāl al-kāminah (implicit parables), while some scholars recognize a third category, amtsāl al-mursalah. Although his treatment reflects a descriptive and encyclopedic approach, it provides a systematic foundation for understanding Qur’anic parables. The study concludes that the concept of amtsāl in Al-Itqān remains methodologically relevant for contemporary Qur’anic interpretation, particularly in highlighting its communicative, moral, and spiritual dimensions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal status of gold savings in Islamic banks from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah), with a focus on the concept of riba, particularly riba yad, and by relating it to the views of classical and contemporary scholars. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach and content analysis of YouTube lectures by Buya Yahya. The data sources are derived from classical fiqh books such as At-Taqrirat as-Sadidah, Nihayatul Maqashid, and Bidayatul Mujtahid.The results of the study show that gold is classified as a ribawi commodity whose transactions must fulfill the principle of taqabudh (immediate possession) in order to avoid riba yad. Classical scholars strictly prohibit any delay in gold transactions, while some contemporary scholars provide limited flexibility under the conditions of clear contracts and definite ownership. However, based on the analysis of Buya Yahya’s lectures, digital gold savings that do not involve actual possession and transfer are generally rejected due to their potential to contain elements of riba yad. Therefore, gold savings practices must be carefully examined to ensure compliance with Islamic principles.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has made YouTube one of the most widely accessed platforms by young children. This platform's presence has a diverse impact on children's language development, depending on usage patterns. Based on observations, interviews, and documentation, it was found that YouTube use can provide positive language stimulation when supported by controlled usage duration, age-appropriate content selection, and active parental guidance. Children who frequently access educational content such as children's songs, stories, letter recognition, numbers, and colors, and interactive learning show improvements in vocabulary, listening skills, language comprehension, and communication skills. Conversely, excessive, unsupervised YouTube use tends to reduce the intensity of children's verbal interactions with their surroundings and potentially hinders social language development. The results also indicate that content quality plays a more dominant role than quantity of use. Furthermore, parental involvement in explaining video content, engaging children in discussions, and connecting content to everyday experiences can transform viewing into a more interactive and meaningful learning process. These findings confirm that YouTube can function as an effective language stimulation medium for young children when used proportionally, with active guidance, and directed toward educational content.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology in the digital era requires educational institutions to optimize data management and administration effectively and efficiently through the use of information systems. This study aims to analyze the development of the Educational Management Information System (SIMDIK) and examine its implementation and benefits in improving the quality of educational institution management. In this digital age, educational institutions are required to improve the quality of education by utilizing technological developments in various aspects, both academic and administrative processes, through the management information systems implemented by schools. The method used was a qualitative approach with a literature study sourced from various scientific journals, books, and relevant references. Data collection was conducted through the collection of various articles, while data analysis employed descriptive qualitative techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that SIMDIK development generally uses a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach, encompassing needs analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing evaluation. SIMDIK consists of key components: hardware, software, databases, human resources, and integrated procedures. SIMDIK implementation has been proven to improve administrative efficiency, data accuracy, ease of access to information, and support data-driven decision-making. However, its development still faces various obstacles such as limited infrastructure, low digital literacy among human resources, relatively high costs, and data security issues. Therefore, ongoing support and innovative development are needed for SIMDIK's optimal implementation to improve the quality of education management in the digital era.

Abstract

In the digital era, the spread of false information or hoaxes has become increasingly rampant, particularly through social media. This phenomenon has negative impacts on society as it can trigger division and social unrest. In addressing this issue, the Qur’an offers valuable guidance. This study aims to identify the solutions proposed in the Qur’an to prevent the dissemination of hoaxes. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. The Qur’an introduces the principle of tabayyun (verification), as stated in Surah al-Hujurat/49:6, which emphasizes the importance of verifying information before drawing conclusions about its truth. Furthermore, the Qur’an highlights the virtue of honesty as a means to prevent the spread of false news, as mentioned in Surah al-Ahzab/33:71. Islam also teaches the attitude of tawaqquf—refraining from sharing information whose authenticity is uncertain—as outlined in Surah al-Isra/17:36. Thus, Islamic teachings provide a comprehensive framework for fostering information literacy and ethical media behavior in the digital age.
