Abstract

An effective electrical control system is essential to prevent damage to electronic devices and maintain the continuity of electrical flow. This research aims to design a microcontroller-based electrical control system with overcurrent monitoring and control features using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The system uses a current sensor to detect excess current and a microcontroller as a data processor, which can automatically cut off the power supply if an excess current is detected. The data from these current sensors will be transmitted to an IoT platform that allows real-time monitoring via mobile devices or computers. In addition, users can remotely control the electrical system, either to turn on or off the electric current, through a web-based or mobile application. System testing is carried out to verify the functionality of the device in monitoring, controlling, and protecting electrical equipment from overcurrent. The results show that this system can detect overcurrent with high accuracy and provide warnings to users in real-time. The implementation of this system is expected to improve energy efficiency and provide optimal protection for electrical equipment on a household and small industrial scale.

Abstract

The development Internet of Things (IoT) technology has been widely used in daily life, especially in the use of electronic devices in homes, such as lights. To create an automatic lighting control system for a room from a distance, a PIR (Passive Infrared Receiver) sensor is needed as input to turn the light on and off automatically based on movement detected in the room. To control the light automatically and connect the devices to the internet, the ESP8266 is used. The results show that the PIR (Passive Infrared Receiver) sensor can detect movement within the room. Thus, the automatic lighting control system can be monitored remotely using a smartphone.

Abstract

The birth certificate registration process often faces obstacles, such as long queues and long processing times at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Binjai City. This study aims to design and develop a mobile web-based application that makes it easier for the public to register for birth certificates online, thereby increasing the efficiency of public services. The system development method used is the Waterfall model, which includes needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This application is designed using the HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP frameworks for a responsive mobile interface, and MySQL as a database. The test results show that this application is able to speed up the registration process and minimize data errors, and receive positive responses from users regarding ease of access and system reliability. With this application, it is hoped that the Population and Civil Registration Office of Binjai City can improve the quality of digital population services

Abstract

The development of technology and information that we feel today has a big influence, especially in the world of work. One of them is the use of computers that can facilitate and expedite work. In this era of rapid technological development, business people are required to keep up with the times in order to compete with other business people. The solution to buying and selling transactions without meeting directly is done online through website-based e-commerce. One of the web-based e-commerce applications can be designed using the codeigniter framework.

Abstract

Hydroponics is a method of farming without using soil, usually carried out in a glass room using water as a medium containing nutrient. The hydroponic farming method is considered suitable for use in densely populated areas with limited agricultural land. The flow of water that carries nutrients for plants must be regulated as well as possible to support optimal plant growth. The focus of this research is to design a water flow control system that carries nutrients automatically and can be monitored and controlled remotely using the internet. Water conditions are read by sensors and processed by the ESP8266 microcontroller. Monitoring results are displayed via LCD and via website. Control of the nutrient-carrying water pump is also done via the website. With this system, hydroponic farmers can monitor and control the water and nutrient flow system remotely.

Abstract

The increase in population has a great influence on the availability of land. As a result, there is a lot of degradation of productive land that should still be able to carry out agricultural activities. Along with the development of technology and the advancement of human civilization, humans began to look for solutions so that narrow yard land was still able to support family income. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer of goat urine on the growth and production of Celery plants (Apium graveolens L.). The results of the study on the effect of the application of goat urine liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and production of celery plants had a real effect on the height of plants aged 1 and 2 MSPT, but had a very real effect on the age of 3 MSPT, The results of the variegated fingerprints showed a real effect on the application of goat urine liquid organic fertilizer on the number of seedlings, wet weight per sample and consumption weight per sample. Celery plants develop uniformly, thus allowing for better absorption of nutrients to encourage their growth. This shows that the application of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) concentration is the most effective in encouraging plant growth and production

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Integrated Mass Transportation Planning for the Development of Medan City Area. The type of research used in this study is a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. To analyze the Integrated Mass Transportation Planning for the Development of Medan City Area, various research methods were used. First, a literature study was carried out that involved a review of official documents related to transportation policies in Medan City, including local regulations, official government reports, and related publications. The data obtained from literature studies, observations, and interviews were then analyzed qualitatively. The results of this analysis are expected to provide a comprehensive picture of the success of the policy in improving Integrated Mass Transportation. The results of the Integrated Mass Transportation Policy research in Medan City can be considered a significant step in efforts to improve public transportation services in the city. By providing coordinated transportation system integration, improved accessibility, and a focus on energy efficiency and passenger safety, Integrated Mass Transportation provides concrete solutions to address various challenges in the provision of public transportation services. Overall, Integrated Mass Transportation is a progressive step that shows the commitment of the City of Medan to improving the quality of life of its residents through the provision of better and sustainable public transportation services. With collaboration between the government, transportation operators, and the community, Integrated Mass Transportation has the potential to be an example for other cities in an effort to improve the quality of public transportation services as a whole.

Abstract

Advances in information technology, particularly in data mining and machine learning, offer opportunities to increase the efficiency of nursing home management. This research aims to analyze the pattern of the number of children in nursing homes using the C4.5 algorithm, providing insight for managers to design more effective programs. The data used in this research is secondary data from the UPTD population list for Elderly Social Services for the period January to September 2024. Using RapidMiner software, a decision tree model was built to group the population based on the number of children. The analysis revealed five categories of citizens: no children, one child, two children, three children, and five children. The largest number of residents (285 people) have no children, followed by residents who have one child (63 people), three children (45 people), two children (9 people), and five children (8 people). These findings indicate that residents who do not have children are more likely to choose to live in nursing homes. This study provides a basis for increasing interaction between residents and their families, especially for those who do not have children. Further research with larger samples is needed to explore other factors influencing nursing home residents' decisions.

Abstract

This research discusses the design and development of an e-learning information system using the Laravel framework specifically for SMA Negeri 3 Medan. The system aims to address the growing need for a more accessible and engaging learning platform, adapting to the increasing influence of technology in the field of education. The development process employs a structured and comprehensive methodology, incorporating thorough needs analysis, detailed system design, implementation using the robust Laravel framework, and rigorous testing procedures. The resulting e-learning system offers a wide range of features, including interactive learning modules, online assessments, and robust communication tools, all tailored to enhance the overall learning experience for the students and teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Medan. This innovative system is expected to contribute significantly to the creation of a more effective, modern, and technology-driven learning environment within the school, providing a seamless and user-friendly platform for enhanced teaching and learning outcomes.

Abstract

In the digital era, financial transactions are increasingly dependent on information technology, particularly through the use of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) developed by Bank Indonesia. This study aims to design a QRIS management application that facilitates business owners in efficiently managing various QR codes. The prototype method is used to describe the system to be developed, including QRIS data management, dynamic QR code generation, and structured database design. The design results show that this application can address issues related to cluttered displays caused by the use of multiple QRIS stickers, simplify the transaction process for consumers, and enhance the professionalism of merchants. Therefore, this application design is expected to contribute significantly to the efficiency of digital transactions and lay the groundwork for the development of more advanced applications in the future.
