Abstract

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged the need for innovative learning media that not only improve learning outcomes but also foster students’ learning behavior. One such innovation is the Digital Etnobook, an electronic book that integrates local cultural content into the learning process. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Digital Etnobook on students’ learning behavior using a Data Science Analytics approach. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive–exploratory design. The research subjects consisted of 100 senior high school students, divided into two groups: an experimental group that used the Digital Etnobook and a control group that applied conventional learning methods. The data collected included pretest and posttest scores, as well as Digital Etnobook usage log data, such as duration of use, access frequency, and quiz results. Data analysis was conducted using statistical tests (paired t-test and independent t-test) and Data Science Analytics techniques based on machine learning, including Random Forest, K-Means Clustering, and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significantly higher improvement in learning outcomes compared to the control group. Log data analysis revealed a positive relationship between the duration of use and access frequency of the Digital Etnobook and the improvement of students’ learning outcomes. Furthermore, the applied machine learning models were able to evaluate learning effectiveness with a high level of accuracy. These findings indicate that the Digital Etnobook is effective in enhancing students’ learning behavior, and that the Data Science Analytics approach provides an objective and data-driven evaluation of learning processes. Therefore, this study concludes that the implementation of the Digital Etnobook analyzed through Data Science Analytics has the potential to serve as an innovative solution for the development of culturally based digital learning media in senior high schools in Medan.

Abstract

Students’ academic achievement is one of the important indicators used to assess the success of the educational process. In addition to being influenced by cognitive factors, academic achievement is also affected by psychological factors, one of which is self-esteem. This study aims to analyze the application of deep learning models in predicting students’ academic achievement based on self-esteem in several elementary schools in Medan City. The study employs a quantitative approach with a predictive design. The research data were obtained through self-esteem questionnaires, documentation of students’ academic scores, and observations of learning conditions in schools. The collected data were then organized into a dataset and divided into 80% training data and 20% testing data. Furthermore, the data were analyzed through the stages of preprocessing, normalization, feature selection, and modeling using deep learning. The results of the study indicate that self-esteem has a fairly strong contribution in predicting students’ academic achievement. The proposed deep learning model also demonstrated good performance, with an accuracy of 91.80%, precision of 92.70%, recall of 93.50%, and F1-score of 92.40%. These findings show that the integration of psychological factors and artificial intelligence technology can be an effective approach in supporting educational evaluation and assisting schools in identifying students who require earlier intervention.

Abstract

The development Internet of Things (IoT) technology has been widely used in daily life, especially in the use of electronic devices in homes, such as lights. To create an automatic lighting control system for a room from a distance, a PIR (Passive Infrared Receiver) sensor is needed as input to turn the light on and off automatically based on movement detected in the room. To control the light automatically and connect the devices to the internet, the ESP8266 is used. The results show that the PIR (Passive Infrared Receiver) sensor can detect movement within the room. Thus, the automatic lighting control system can be monitored remotely using a smartphone.

Abstract

Smart Village is a smart village concept that is innovative in using information technology so that it can improve the quality of the village economy. In the process of implementing smart villages, it is often used in the needs of Bumdes development so that it can be useful for village development. Bumdes is a village-owned business entity that is a legal entity and managed by the village government. Bumdes is created to manage the results of resources in the village for village development. In carrying out its management, a system is needed that can help the village so that the management of Bumdes is transparent. So a website system is needed that can help the village in managing the results of village resources to become a smart village.

Abstract

Price competition on increasingly competitive e-commerce platforms requires businesses to implement pricing strategies that are adaptive and responsive to market dynamics. Static pricing strategies have proven to be unable to accommodate changes in demand, competitor prices, and consumer perceptions in real-time. This study aims to develop a Dynamic Pricing model based on Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) using the Deep Q-Network (DQN) algorithm that integrates the sentiment analysis of consumer reviews with the IndoBERT model and competitor prices obtained through web scraping. The research data was collected from the Tokopedia marketplace in the electronic product category for six months (January-June 2024), including 12,450 product reviews and 3,200 snapshots of competitors' prices from 45 sellers. The fine-tuned IndoBERT model achieved an accuracy of 91.2% and an F1-score of 0.89 in the three-class sentiment classification. The results of the experiment showed that the proposed DQN model increased total revenue by 18.7%, profit margin by 14.3%, and conversion rate by 11.2% compared to the static pricing strategy. This model also outperformed rule-based pricing by 8.1% and Q-Learning tabular by 3.3% in revenue metrics. The Ablation study confirmed that the sentiment feature contributed 6.3 percentage points to the increase in revenue. This study proves that the integration of consumer sentiment signals and competitors' prices within the framework of DRL provides a more optimal and adaptive pricing strategy in the e-commerce environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the role of the "Artificial Intelligence-Based Halal Compliance Model (AI) from a Civil Law Perspective." Specifically, this study identifies how AI can help ensure product compliance with halal standards in the context of Indonesian civil law. In addition, it also examines the role of contracts and agreements between producers, certification bodies, and consumers in influencing the effectiveness of the halal compliance system. Civil law is used to analyze legal implications, particularly regarding liability, contract validity (smart contract validity), and evidence arising from the application of the Halal Compliance Model based on AI, which plays an important role in ensuring the integrity and traceability of halal products throughout the supply chain. In civil contract law, AI is used to automate, analyze, and even execute contracts through the concept of Smart Contracts. The interconnection between civil law and AI raises new challenges and opportunities, especially in the issues of liability and legal personality.
