Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of social media marketing and customer engagement on brand loyalty at Shopee Indonesia. The population used in this study are active students of Diponegoro University class 2018 to 2021 who are shopee users and Instagram users who follow shopee Indonesia's account, namely @shopee_id. The number of samples used in this study were 120 respondents. The method of data collection is done through a questionnaire. This research uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique with AMOS 23.0 analysis tool. The results of this study indicate that the social media marketing variabel has a positive and significant effect on customer engagement, the customer engagement variabel has a positive and significant effect on brand loyalty and the social media marketing variabel has a positive and significant impact on brand loyalty. The results of this study indicate social media marketing and customer engagement, have a positive and significant effect on brand loyalty

Abstract

This study aims to test and prove that service quality affects customer satisfaction. Data collection from this study involved 105 respondents with the main criteria being 17 years of age and over and having made a decision to stay overnight. The data obtained will then be analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the AMOS version 24 program. Based on this research, it was found that experiential marketing had a negative and insignificant effect on customer satisfaction. In addition, service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. In this study also found facilities have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Then lastly, customer satisfaction which is the intervening variable has a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable on the decision to stay again. Based on the explanation above, there is 1 rejected hypothesis and 3 accepted hypotheses.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of JCI, Gold, Bitcoin, and the US Dollar. The data used in this study is daily data on JCI returns, Gold returns, Bitcoin returns, and US Dollar returns for 5 years starting on 8 December 2016 to 08 December 2021, all of the data used has been converted into Rupiah currency units. The data was then analyzed using the Vector Auto Regression (VAR) model. The findings from this study show that the JCI response to changes in the prices of Gold, Bitcoin, and the US Dollar shows the JCI moves positively, Gold responds negatively to shocks caused by the JCI and Bitcoin, Gold responds positively to shocks in the US Dollar, Bitcoin does not respond to shocks. caused by the JCI, Gold, and the US Dollar, and the US Dollar responded negatively to the shocks caused by the JCI, Gold, and Bitcoin. These results show that Gold and the US Dollar are able to become safe-haven assets and the US Dollar is a better safe-haven asset than Gold, while JCI and Bitcoin are only capable of being risky hazard assets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Corporate Governance and Ownership Structure on DAR in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2016-2020 period. This study uses DAR as the dependent variable. The independent variables used are Board size (BOD), Independent Commissioner (IC), Audit Committee (AC), Managerial Ownership (MO), Institutional Ownership (IO) with Firm Size as a control variable. This study uses secondary data obtained from the annual reports of Manufacturing Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2016-2020 period. The number of samples used was 33 with purposive sampling method, so that a total of 165 observations were obtained. This research uses multiple linear regression method with IBM SPSS 26 program which consists of classical assumption test, f statistic test, t statistic test, and coefficient of determination (R2) test. During the observation period, it shows that the data in this study are normally distributed. This shows that the data used have met the requirements to use the multiple linear regression equation model. The results of this study indicate that Board Size and Independent Commissioner have a significant negative effect on DAR, Managerial Ownership and Institutional Ownership have a significant positive effect on DAR. Meanwhile, the Audit Committee has no effect on DAR.

Abstract

Creating buying interest in consumers is one important thing that needs to be done. Not only that, manufacturers also need to ensure that consumers feel satisfied when using the products that have been purchased. It is important for manufacturers to be able to ensure that consumers can always remember their products and prevent consumers from switching to other brands (Yee & Shaheen, 2016). Based on previous research by Lien et al. (2015), Phing-Li (2017), Liu, et al. (2021), Ayub (2021) and Yuan et al., (2020), researchers will conduct research that aims to be able to find out whether Brand Image, Perceived Price and Perceive Value have an influence on Purchase Intentions on private label products with case studies, namely: private label Lotte Wholesale. This research was conducted with the intention of knowing more deeply whether the factors in the two different studies when combined will get more detailed results so that they can find out which factors can influence buying interest from a brand. The results of this study, which took 153 respondents and processed using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, showed that the Brand Image Variable had a negative and significant influence on Purchase Intentions, while the Perceived Price Variable and Perceived Value Variable had a positive and significant influence on Purchase Intentions. The results of this study can be used as material to increase knowledge and insight about Purchase Intentions for companies, so that the management of the Lotte Wholesale Semarang supermarket company can design a mechanism for implementing the company's continuation properly.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the perception of Indonesian Generation Y and Generation Z employee to organizational politics with modern business context in mind. Organizational politics has been popularly viewed as a negative phenomenon within firms, as it often researched using a negatively biased method. The study is catalyzed by the call of past researches to explore deeper the field of organizational politics and to bring a more balanced view of it. Qualitative method, specifically the qualitative phenomenological method, was chosen for this study. The use of phenomenology enabled this research to deliver in-depth understanding for the perception of organizational politics. Informants of this research were drawn from various Indonesian companies, with proportional demographics distribution in term of age cohort and gender. Based on the findings, there are four categories of employee’s political perception, that are Necessary, Necessary to Some Extent, Neutral, and Should be Avoided. This study has also successfully recognized the antecedents of organizational politics, which can lead to the rise political behavior within an organization. Additionally, this study also identified the outcomes of organizational politics that were further classed into two dimensions: individual and organizational impact, with informants’ description encompassed both positive and negative outcomes. Keywords: perception of organizational politics, qualitative study, balanced view on organizational politics.

Abstract

Supply chain industries are involved with a lot of transactions concerning various parties. To maintain a relationship between wholesalers and suppliers, each party should have trust in the transaction. Which mean that the wholesalers should believe that the suppliers will be capable and credible to fulfil their responsibility in the transaction, while suppliers should believe that wholesalers will not misuse the information shared when doing transaction for instance, infer wholesale pricing strategies and other supplier parameter that could be used to manipulate future negotiation. In this research, currently VehGro rely on third party to check on the obligation of their supplier and they put their trust mainly based on personal connection that the CEO had with the supplier. Hence, they are thinking to implement blockchain in their operation as a platform that is seen to be able further enhance the trust in their business transaction. This research aims to help an organic food wholesaler, Vehgro, convince their suppliers to accept their blockchain implementation plan within the supply chain process. This research uses the framework of blockchain-related trust attributes to address this issue. After conducting qualitative research based on the blockchain-related trust attributes derived from Kochovski Model by looking through literature and interview with a half-structured with CEO of VehGro, Blockchain Expert, and Information System Expert, the author found out that blockchain does contribute to trust, especially its capability to be traceable and immutable that are not seen on the current system used by VehGro. However, not all blockchains are suitable for supply-chain, the only appropriate type of blockchain is permissioned blockchain. In addition, to ensure privacy and security of the blockchain system, the system should be built with viewing keys or private smart contract. Furthermore, to make sure that information shared within the blockchain is credible, the blockchain system should allow users to add correction data on top of wrong data. Moreover, to make suppliers switch to the new system, it is advised to make an incentive plan that can be achieved by creating a token inside the blockchain with a particular utility. Next alternative is to also put into account a possibility of better public image due to implementation of blockchain that will give a feeling that the supply chain environment is secure and credible. Other possibility is creating a hybrid system with a mixture of the current operating system and some part of the blockchain system to make it easier for people to accept the change. In the end, the system that will be implemented should make everything easier and bring advantage over the previous ones, not the other way around.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) identify consumer characteristics, (2) identify promotion mix, (3) analyze promotion effectiveness at the Batusangkar Libra Motor Company. This research uses descriptive quantitative analysis, EPIC Model, and Direct Rating Method with the help of SPSS software version 25.0. The results of the study: Promotional variables through advertising are within the range of a fairly effective scale, namely at 3.22. Direct Rating Ads score in a good promotion position, which is 69.52. Interactive Marketing on a fairly effective scale of 3.00. The Interactive Marketing direct Rating score is in a good position, namely 78.84. Meanwhile, the Sales Promotion was declared effective, namely 3.89. The direct rating score for Sales Promotion through joint events and community promos is in a good promotional position, namely 73.56.

Abstract

This study aims to describe dual role conflict in female workers. The problems in this study include the dual role challenges of female workers and how to balance their work and family domain. The purpose of this study is to find out the dual role challenges and solutions on how to balance their work and family domain. This research is a qualitative type of research. An extensive literature review was conducted to gain conclusion on how female workers face the challenges of dual role conflicts and manage to balance their work and family domain. The findings in this study cover two things: The challenges of the dual role of female workers, which include social stigma on female workers; difficulty allocating time between the two roles, and dual roles conflict have negative impact on female workers’ work performance; Strategies to balance between work and family domain which includes social support from family, co-workers, and managerial.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Price Earning Ratio (PER), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Bank Size, Debt Equity Ratio (DER) and Ownership Institutional to Investors Trust in Banking Companies Conventional listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Investor Confidence measured by using Market Capitalization (MC). The Independent Variable used in this study is the Price Earning Ratio (PER), Non- Performing Loan (NPL), Bank Size, Debt Equity Ratio (DER) and Ownership Institutional. The sample used in this study is a banking company Conventional listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for a period of 2016-2020. The number of samples as many as 7 companies taken by the method target sample. The analytical method used is panel data regression with Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA) with the Eviews:10 program which previously passed the classical assumption test. Fix effect was chosen as the best model. The results of the study show that the Price Earning Ratio (PER) has an effect no significant positive on Investor Confidence. Non-performing Loans (NPL) no significant positive effect on Investor Confidence. Bank Size significant positive effect on Investor Confidence. Debt Equity The ratio (DER) has significant positive effect on Investor Confidence. While Institutional Ownership has no significant negative effect to Investor Confidence.
