Abstract

This research aims at studying the fundamental variables that can be used as predictors short return on investment. Object of research used in this study is the company incorporated in LQ 45 during the 2009-2011 study periode. The variables studied are Firm Size, Book to Market Ratio, Price Earning Ratio and Momentum. Analytical techniques used in this study is the multiple linear regression. This research was conducted with quantitative methods to the financial statements of listed companies in LQ 45 during the period 2009-2011. The total study sample was 27 companies that are consistently listed in 7 (seven) in the period of observation in LQ 45 index and 27 companies are determined through purposive sampling method. Method of hypothesis testing using different test t-test and multiple linear regression. The results showed Firm Size has no significant positive effect on portfolio stock returns. Book to Market Ratio has no significant positive effect on portfolio stock returns. Price Earning Ratio has no significant negative impact on the company's portfolio stock return. Momentum occurred at week 2, 4, and 8 after the formation of stock prices. This could indicate that investors tend to speculative trading in shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze factors that affect PT X employee’s organizational citizenship behavior. Job satisfaction and organizational citizenship are used as dependent variables. A high level of job satisfaction and organizational commitment will affect organizational citizenship behavior and the organization goal’s will be achieved.This research uses questionnaire as the data collection method. The research’s population is all of the PT X employee which total is 875 employees. This research uses Slovin Formula to determine the samples, so the samples can be obtained using this formula are 90 employees with confidence level of 0.01. This research uses random sampling as the sampling method.  Data analysis used in this research are validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear analysis, determination coefficient test, F-test, and t test.According to the multiple linear analysis’ result, job satisfaction and organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior partially as well as simultaneously. The adjusted R square score is 0,309, so 30,9% organizational citizenship behavior can be explained by job satisfaction and organizational commitment and the remaining 69,1% explained by other variables aside from the research.

Abstract

Various consumers’ needs create different buying motives, so do the quantity. To understand the needs and tastes of consumers, a company should discern its consumers’ behavior. The consumer buying behavior also applies in the decision regarding the purchase of building materials. Along with the increasing number of stores selling building supplies, stores should pay  more attention to consumer behavior.The purpose of the research is to analyze the effects of location, service quality and perceptions of price on consumers’ buying decision. Populations in this research are consumers buying at TB Rajawali Demak, with the total sample of 100 respondents. The sample collection technique used is accidental sampling. The type of data used is primary data using questionnaire and secondary data using related literature. Data analyses tool used is multiple regression.Result of this research indicates that location service quality and perceptions of price positively correlated to consumers’ buying decision. The more strategic a location, the better service quality and the more affordable price, therefore increase the buying decision.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how the influence of the ease of use, past experience, consumer trust and perception of price towards consumer purchase intention on online shopping transaction. Many online shopping sites today has creating fierce competition among online shopping sites. It was done with the aim to get consumers' attention with the hope to increase the interest of consumer to purchase on their website. That makes researchers want to find out what factors are needed to improve consumer purchase intention towards online shopping transactions, especially on purchase fashion products.The sample in this research were internet users in Semarang who already shop online to purchase fashion products. The samples were 200 people selected using purposive sampling through an online questionnaire. Analysis of the data used in this research are validity and reliability, the classic assumption test, multiple regression analysis, goodness of fit test.The results of the multiple linear regression analysis is, Y = 0,187 X1 +0,238 X2 + 0,176 X3 + 0,279 X4. The most influential independent variable towards the dependent variable is perception of price (0,279), followed by past experience (0,238), ease of use (0,187) and the last one is consumer trust (0.176). T test results showed that the ease of use, past experience, consumer trust and perception of price variables have a positive and significant influence towards purchase intention. The coefficient of determination obtained from the independent variable in this research is 52,2%, while the remaining 47,8% is influenced by other variables outside the model of this research.

Abstract

Brand loyalty is a major element of an industry to achieve competitive advantages. The existence of brand loyalty help the company to reduce marketing costs and maximize revenue. The main focus of this research is the issue that the brand loyalty of Hand and Body Lotion Citra continues to decline. Indications of brand loyalty can be seen from the percentage of brand share and brand value. The purpose of this research is to analyze the indirect effect of brand communication toward brand loyalty of Hand and Body Lotion Citra trough brand image and brand trust as the intervening variable.The sampling method used in this research is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. Samples were collected from 100 female with age 15-35 years old in Semarang who always use Hand and Body Lotion Citra. Collected data were analyzed with several tests, such as: validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, goodness of fit test using IBM SPSS 23 for windows and sobel test.The result showed in the classical testing assumption, the regression model is normally distribution and heteroscedasticity does not occur. This research explain the relationship of brand communication has a positive significant effect on brand loyalty through brand trust as intervening variable. The results of research also indicate that relationship between brand communication on brand loyalty becomes stronger when mediated with brand image and brand trust variables simultaneously.

Abstract

This research was based a sales decrease Rocket Chicken Sukorejo Kendal in the period 2012-2014. The decline in sales can be formulated that how consumers make purchase decisions to buy fast food amid fenomenan culinary competition is getting tighter. This study aimed to examine the effect of price perception, quality of service, and the location of the fast food purchasing decisions on Rocket Chicken Sukorejo.This study uses accidental sampling and purposive sampling with sample of 100 people from the consumers who make purchases at Rocket Chicken Sukorejo Kendal. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression. The results of a study reported the following regression equation: Y = 0.247 X1  + 0.304 X2+ 0.308 X3.Based on statistical data analysis, indicators in this study are valid and reliable. In the classical assumption test, regression models multicoloniarity free, does not occur heteroscedasticity, and the normal distribution. The biggest variable is the variable location of 0.308, whereas the smallest variable is the variable perception of the price of 0.247. Results of the study found that all independent variables are positive and significant effect on the dependent variable.

Abstract

Productivity is one of benchmarks to determine the development of a company. This study aimed to analyze work measurement help to optimize productivity in Ayasy snack and bakery. Sample in this study, four products that are most often ordered by the customers of Ayasy snack and bakery. The analytical method used is time and motion study. The results of the analysis technique of time and motion study, shows that productivity can be improved by determining the standard time and job design in improving efficiency. Using time study, result of standard time can increase productivity by 106%. Motion study techniques also increased productivity up to 3.10% when company implemented the proposed method in process chart. Productivity can be increased by continuously improving methods of work , the layout and optimize the equipment capacity of Ayasy snack and bakery.

Abstract

PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk. is one of the private banks in Kudus. The research was concentrated at PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk. Kudus Branch, who had visions of the main choice mainstay bank, which acts as an important pillar of the Indonesian economy. This study analyzes the motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance. Success in carrying out duties and functions in PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk. Kudus Branch will depend on the performance of its employees. With the employee's performance is getting better or increase the services they provide better to customers.Top of Form The research was carried out at PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk Kudus Branch. This study uses motivation as an independent variable, job satisfaction as an intervening variable, and employee performance as the dependent variable. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of motivation on job satisfaction, test and analyze the effect of motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The samples used were PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk Kudus Branch as many as 119 respondents using purposive sampling method. The analysis used include validity, reliability test, the classical assumption test, model test, linear regression analysis and intervening. Based on the t-test were performed and the results of linear regression analysis can be seen that motivation has positive and significant impact on job satisfaction, job satisfaction and a significant positive effect on employee performance, motivation, and a significant positive effect on employee performance. While based on the results of linear regression analysis to test the mediating (intervening) note that job satisfaction variables capable of being an intervening variable of coeffients standardized calculations for the indirect effect of work motivation on employee performance through greater job satisfaction than the direct effect of motivation on employee performance. Abstract

Nike is one of the sports companies operating in Indonesia, this company has a problem of decreasing brand image in 2016-2018 based on survey results from Top Brand Awards. This study aims to analyze the effect of Product Design, Perceived Value, and Promotion on Brand Image of Nike shoes. This study uses three independent variables namely Product Design, Perceived Value, and Promotion and uses one dependent variable, Brand Image.The sample used in this study were 100 Nike shoes consumers in the city of Semarang. Data collection methods used are questionnaires distributed by non-probability sampling techniques with the type of purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques that are used is Path Analysis.Base on the result study, As well as showing that Product Design, Perceived Value, and Promotion have a positive and significant effect on Brand Image. The Adjusted R Square value is 0.805, indicating that 80.5 percent of the variation in Product Design can be explained by the independent variable in the regression equation. While the remaining 19.5 percent can be explained by other variables outside the independent variables in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of  this  research  is  to  explain  how  the variable of  compensation,organizational commitment, and organizational culture influence to PT. Teduh Makmur Semarang employee performance. The data of this research were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 43 employees of PT. Teduh Makmur Semarang. This research used a saturated or census sampling method. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression.The result of this research shows that compensation, organizational commitment, and organizational culture influence positively and significantly to the employee performance. Variable used in this research give positive response,  meaning  that the compensation, organizational commitment, and organizational culture improving the performance  of  PT.  Teduh  Makmur  Semarang  employee.  Value  of  determination coefficient or R2 is 0,712, which means employee performance is affected by compensation, organizational commitment, and organizational culture amounted to 71,2%.Based  on  statistical  data  analysis,  found  that most  influential  variable is  thee variable of organizational commitment of 0,454, while the least influential variable is the variable of compensation of 0,393.
