Abstract

Rigorous competition in the era of globalization becomes a challenge and a stimulant for every company to undertake changes continously. As a result, companies are able to develop and to preserve their existence. PT Bandeng Juwana Elrina is one of manufacturers which produces processed food called bandeng. This company is doing inexorably improvements and developments. Nonetheless, in the development process, the company has not analyzed yet systematic cultural analyzes. It can be the guidance for the company in the development process and the improvement process. Therefore, this research makes a mapping of organizational culture. This research is intended to analyze the organizational culture profile. Then the result can be an advice for the company in formulating an accurate organizational culture. This research has been conducted by using OCAI ( Organizational Culture Assesment Instrument) method. This research surveyed the Board of Director,  the General Manager,  the department manager and the department head. Through descriptive quantitative approach, this research would be expected being able to reveal and to analyze the cultural profile of PT Bandeng Juwana Elrina. The result of this research shows that there are differences in cultural perception among the Board of Director and the three lower positions. There are the General Manager, the department manager and the department head. They argue that the current dominant culture is clan. In contrast, the Board of Director points out that the recent dominant culture is adhocracy. On the other hand, these four positions also have different perceptions in the organizational culture profile which will be expected in the future. The Board of Director expects that it will be a combination of clan culture and adhocracy. The General Manager and the department head hope that  it will be an adhocracy culture. The portrait of current culture are the dominancy of clan culture and the different perception among position stages. The different perception is in the expectation of organizational culture in the future time. It tends to dirrect at clan culture and adhocracy. These can be the consideration for the company to formulate the culture which is appropriate with the company’s vision and mision.

Abstract

Women who decided to work has several reasons, i.e. for self-actualization and help fulfilling the financial needs of the family. However, the number of women who became a manager (non-entrepreneurs) is still small when compared with the number of male leaders. Women who have positions as a leader of a company have more responsibility and perceived as different compared to the regular career woman. The study was conducted to understand how the perception of the employees against their female manager from the standpoint of gender stereotypes.            This study uses a qualitative research as research methods and phenomology as research approach. Samples taken in this study were 8 persons, of whom 1 female General Manager, 1 male manager, and 6 employees of women and men. The interviewees are derived from the same division, in order to maximize the data obtained.            The results of this study include: (1) Female General Manager doesn’t experience discrimination in the work environment caused by gender, (2) leadership effectiveness by the female General Manager rated good by the employees, (3) the leadership style associated with the communal traits adopted General Manager of women (transformational leadership) preferred by employees, and (4) family and communal negative traits possessed by General Manager caused inhabitation for her career development and self development. The study also provides results that (4) the traits related to gender do not affect the outcome of the evaluation and promotion given by the leaders.

Abstract

The application of CSR becomes something that should be done for the company because it has been regulated in the law. The company undertakes various strategies among them to implement CSR aimed at increasing job satisfaction. CSR has three aspects: social, economic, and environmental aspects. This research is motivated by the research gap from previous studies, and it is known that there is a decline in the employee job satisfaction. This research aims to analyze the influence of internal CSR and external CSR on job satisfaction.Data collected from population amounted to 92 employees with sampling using total sampling amounted to 92 respondents who work as employee at PT. Phapros, Tbk in section of accounting, finance, CSR, HRD and general, and risk management. Analysis of the data in this study using multiple linear regression techniques, and sobel test, to test the mediating effect, using SPSS program. The results showed, Internal CSR variabel positively affect on  employee job satisfaction. Eksternal CSR has no effect on  employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

Loan is the main source of income of a Conventional Commercial Bank, thus, Commercial Bank is vulnerable to a Non-Performing Loan. Given the global crisis in 1997, many banks were liquidated because of a high Non-Performing Loan in this sector. Although the bank's management has made efforts to prevent, but Non-Performing Loan still occur.               This study aimed to examine the effect of Size, loan to deposit ratio, Capital Adequacy Ratio, Operating cost to Operating revenues ratio and Interest Rate of Loans to the Non-Performing Loan. Samples which is used in this study is the Conventional Commercial Bank registered in Bank of Indonesia for the 2011-2014 period. To obtain a valid study results, the sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling method . A sample of 27 banks was acquired. Analysis method applied in this research is the normality test, autocorrelation test, Test of multicoloniarity, Heteroskidastity Test, Test of Coefficient of Determination R2, Test of Statistic F, Test of Statistic t, and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis.            Based on the results of the partial testing carried out, Operating cost to Operating revenues ratio and Interest Rate of Credit have a positive influence on the Non-Performing Loan. While the loan to deposit ratio, size and Capital Adequacy Ratio have a negative influence on the Non-Performing Loan. Based on the test results of the coefficient of determination R2, variable Size, loan to deposit ratio, Capital Adequacy Ratio, Operating cost to Operating revenues ratio and interest rate of 43.5% loans have effect against non-performing loans. While the rest as much as 56.5% influenced by factors other than variabel of research.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Dividend Policy, BVPS, Earning Volatility, Leverage, PER, and Trading Volume to Stock price Volatility on the company non financial in Indonesian Stock Exchange in period 2012-2015. Research population used company non financial in Indonesian Stock Exchange in period 2012-2015. Taken samples of the all purpose 28 companies by using purposive sampling method. The data used in this research were obtained from the Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) 2012-2015, IDX Annual Report, and www.idx.co.id. Analysis technique used Ordinary Least Square Regression (OLS), statistical t-test, f-test, and classic assumption test that includes a test of normality test, multicollinearity test, autucorrelation test, and heteroskedastisitas test. The result of the research are independent variables simultaneously (F test) effect on stock price with a significance level of 0.000. While partially (t test) showed that the variable Dividend Payout Ratio and BVPS has positive and not significant effect on Stock Price Volatility. Earning Volatility and PER variables has negative and significant effect on Stock Price Volatility. While Leverage and Trading Volume has positive and significant effect on Stock Price Volatility. Adjusted R2 is 0,216 wahich means that the ability of the six independent variables can explain Stock Price Volatility amounted to 21,6%, while the rest is explained by other factors.

Abstract

Experiential marketing is one of marketing strategies which relates products or services to the customer positively in some aspect. Not only limited to logic, but also to the emoticon and customer sense, so that products or services can be remembered more by customers. If it applied correctly, experiential marketing will  create customer satisfaction toward to  the  products or services. The purpose of this research to know the influence of the five dimensions of experientialmarketing to customer satisfaction in using products or services..Population of the research are the university students who visit the library of S1 Regular of Bussines and Economic Faculty Diponegoro University using purposive sampling method . Data collection is done using questionnaires. A quantitative analysis include validity and reliability, the classic assumption test, test hypotheses through F test and t test, coefficient of determination (R2). Data analysis techniques used were linear regression analysis. Qualitative analysis is the interpretation of the data obtained in this study.Hypothesis testing using t test showed that the five independent variables studied were Sense (X1), Feel  (X2), Think (X3), Act  (X4) and Relate  (X5) have significantly affect  to the dependent variable, Customer Satisfaction (Y). Then through the F test showed that the variables sense, feel, think, act, and relate have a significant effect together in customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of transformational leadership style variables and organizational culture on performance through job satisfaction as a mediator. This research was conducted at a banking company in the city of Semarang, namely the Main Branch of Bank Jateng. In this study using various data sources in the form of primary data and secondary data.This study uses census techniques, so that the entire population in this study were made respondents. The research questionnaire was distributed to 58 employees of the Main Branch of Bank Jateng. Data analysis techniques in this study is using the SmartPLS 3.2.8 application to determine the path coefficient and the direct or indirect influence of exogenous variables on endogenous variables.The results of this study indicate that the transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees and job satisfaction. Organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and job satisfaction. In addition, it can be seen that the variable job satisfaction can mediate an indirect relationship between transformational leadership style on employee performance and organizational culture on employee performance.

Abstract

There are some variety of investment instruments that exist as an alternative option for investors to invest their assets, one of it is a mutual fund. Mutual funds are a solution for the investors who have problems such as limited capital, information, capability and time to invest. This research conducted to examine the relationship between the performance of equity mutual fund with Sharpe’s measure with variables that affect it includes stock selection skill and market timing ability using two methods, which are Treynor-Mazuy method and Henriksson-Merton method. The data used in this research are monthly data on Net Asset Value (NAV), SBI and IHSG of 16 sample of equity mutual funds for 2010-2014.             The reasearch shows that partially stock selection skill and market timing ability using the Treynor-Mazuy method have a significant positive impact to the performance of equity mutual fund. So as partially stock selection skill and market timing ability using the Henriksson-Merton method also have significant positive impact to the performance of equity mutual fund.

Abstract

Woman and man must have equality labor rights, including in their career development. Every employee has role to make the organization grow. This study address to see the implementation of the career development of the company for its employees especially those for women.The purpose of this study was to analyze how participants perceived career development provided by the company. How they feel and experience in using or opportunity in career development. Besides, the research uncover the drivers and obstacles they face in developing their career. The method used in this study is qualitative method with phenomenological study approach. Data collected by interview, observation and documentation in certain periods.The results showed in general career development is done without differentiating women and men. Women can balance their role in society, family and career even though the job description is not too small.

Abstract

Bank is a financial institution that aims to make a profit. The profits derived from the management of public funds. Return on Assets (ROA) is one way of measuring the level of the bank's ability to earn a profit. The purpose of this study was to test the return on assets (ROA) which influenced the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and ROA at commercial banks registered The Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2011-2013.For sampling used purposive sampling method. Data obtained by the publication of the Annual Bank, obtained the number of samples 20 commercial banks to go public. This study used a sample of commercial banks is consistently listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2011-2013. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis.The results of this study found that the net interest margin (NIM) and ROA has a positive and significant impact on the return on assets (ROA), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and the loan to deposit ratio (LDR) had no significant positive effect on return on assets (ROA), Non Performing Loan (NPL) has no significant negative effect on the return on assets (ROA).
