Abstract

Role conflict and role ambiguity that experienced by employees on a company can causing job stress. Job stress experienced by employee can directly effect the high and low of employees organizational commitment. The aim of this research was to examine and analyze the influence of role conflict to job stress, the influence of role ambiguity to job stress, the influence of job stress to organizational commitment, the influence of role conflict to organizational commitment through job stress as intervening variable and the influence of role ambiguity to organizational commitment through job stress as intervening variable.The population in this research was employees at PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk. Witel Semarang with total amount of 170 employees by taking the research sample as much as 90 employees using quota sampling technique. Data would be analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis. The data testing technique used path analysis or path analysis,  which  the  path  analysis  includes:  test  validity,  reliability  test,  classical assumption test, T test, F test, coefficient determination test and test sobel to test the mediation effect.Based on the result of this research, the researcher concluded that role conflict and role  ambiguity  had  positive  and  significant  influence  to  job  stress.  Job  stress  had  a negative  and  significant  effect  on  organizational  commitment.  Role  conflict  had  no negative and significant effect on organizational commitment mediated by job stress, whereas   role   ambiguity  had   a   negative   and   significant   effect   on   organizational commitment that was mediated by job stress.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of fatigue and role conflict on job stress, job burnout and conflict influence the role of the performance, the effect of work stress on performance. The sample used in this study amounted to 164 (one hundred and sixty-four) employees who are in vulnerable productive and non-productive age. Question is given by using a questionnaire which was distributed through cluster sampling and data analysis methods used is the path analysis using SPSS.            In this study formulated five hypotheses, such as: fatigue positive effect on job stress, role conflict positive effect on job stress, job burnout negatively affect performance, role conflict negatively affect performance, work stress negatively affect performance.            The results showed that the effect of job burnout, conflict stress the role of the performance of the work as an intervening variable of 72.85%, and 27.15% can be explained by other variables not examined in this study. From the results of the path analysis of job burnout and role conflict and significant positive effect on job stress and job burnout, role conflict and job stress a significant negative effect on the performance of employees.

Abstract

The capital structure is one of complex financial decision as it relates to other financial decision variables. This study aimed to examine the effect of firm size and liquidity to capital structure by using profitability as an intervening variable. Log Natural Total Assets (SIZE) is used as a proxy for the size of the company, Current Ratio (CR) is used as a proxy for liquidity, Return on Assets (ROA) is used as a proxy for profitability and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) is used as a proxy for capital structure.This study uses 40 manufacturing companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange during the period 2010-2014 as the sample. Determination of the samples was done by purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is path analysis using computer software programs such as AMOS 20.0. Next, sobel test is used in the interest to test the strength of the indirect effect of independent variables on the dependent variable through intervening variable.The results showed that SIZE have no significant effect on ROA, while CR have significant positive effect on ROA. SIZE have significant positive effect on DER, while CR and ROA have significant negative effect on DER. Furthermore, sobel test results showed that ROA can not mediate the effect of SIZE to DER, while the ROA may mediate the effect of CR to DER.

Abstract

The research is proceeded based on the significant decrease of Indosat Ooredoo’s net profit on 2013 and 2014. The aim of the research is to find out the influence of perception of price (X1), product quality (X2), brand image (X3) and word of mouth (X4) towards the buying decision of Indosat Ooredoo prepaid SIM card in Semarang.            The methods of data collection used in this research was a questionnaire to 100 participants spread at Semarang, which has been using Indosat Ooredoo for more than a year. Sampling technique was done by using purposive sampling methods. Data analysis on this research is using multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS for windows.            The result of the research shows that the variable of perception of price, product quality, brand image and word of mouth is having a positive and significant influence towards the buying decision of Indosat Ooredoo prepaid SIM card at Semarang. Among the four variables mentioned, product quality was the most influencing variable towards the buying decision. Therefore it is suggested for the company to improve the quality continuously in order to improve the buying decision of Indosat Ooredoo prepaid SIM card.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the simultaneity between trading volume and order imbalance, the influence of past performance, market risk, market capitalization, tick size totrading volume and the influence of tick size, depth and bid-ask spread to order imbalance of companies were listed on LQ 45 index. Sample in this research were selected by using purposive sampling method with some selected criterias. 55 companies listed on 2014’s LQ 45 index were chosen as sample. The results showed that trading volume is simultaneously related to order imbalance; past performance, market risk and market capitalization have a positive and significant effect to trading volume, tick size has a negative and significant effect to trading volume, order imbalance has a negative and not significant effect to trading volume; tick size, depth, bid-ask spread, and trading volume have no significant effect to order imbalance.

Abstract

Digitalization era of social media is now used as a tool for advertising. Where Instagram had established sponsors feature like Facebook ads. Starting from declining issues from adidas which created a research question: “How does instagram sponsors feature shaped brand awareness of Adidas?”. This study uses four variables: social media marketing perception, viral marketing campaign, and dinamics of virtual brand community to affected brand awareness. This research hypothesis testing using the data of 130 respondents. The analysis technique used in this research is to use a software program Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The result of this study indicate social media marketing perception, viral marketing campaign, and dinamics of virtual brand community are positively affect to brand awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how big the influence product excellence, community effect and attitude towards brand of the customer loyalty on beef satay foodstall in Pak Kempleng 1 Semarang. And this research also aims to analyze the most dominant factors that influence on customer loyalty of beef satay foodstall in Pak Kempleng 1 Semarang.            The population used in this study is consumer of beef satay foodstall in Pak Kempleng 1 Semarang. The sample in this study are 100 respondents and the technique used is non-probability sampling technique with the approach purposive sampling.            The result showed that excellence product and community effect have positive and significant impacts on attitude towards brand. Further attitude towards brand, the excellence product and community effect have also positive and significant impacts on customer loyalty. The most dominant variable of model 1 is the excellence product, while for model 2, attitude towards brand is the highest influence on customer loyalty.

Abstract

The problems that occurred in the employee portion of sales LG Indonesia Semarang is a decline in performance is indicated by not achieving the target for 2015. The employee performance and motivation is also thought to be influenced by factors of organizational culture and also compensation deemed not feasible by most employees. This study aimed to analyze the influence of organizational culture on the motivation and compensation and employee performance parts sales LG Indonesia Semarang. The population used in this study were all employees of LG Indonesia Semarang. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Criteria samples taken were all employees of the sales department LG Indonesia Semarang who have worked more than two years are 71 nurses. The method of collecting the data in this study using questionnaires and interviews. Methods of data analysis using path analysis. Based on the research, organizational culture and compensation have a positive effect on motivation and performance, while motivation is also a positive effect on performance. Based on the results Sobel Test to determine whether there is mediating the relationship between the independent and dependent variables, it is known that motivation mediates the effect of compensation and organizational culture on performance.

Abstract

Tight Industrial Competition makes Toshiba brand laptops has declined percentage in Top Brand Index for three consecutive years although its position is currently still ranked second, but at the same time other brands have increased their Top Brand Index. This study aims to analyze the influence of advertise appeals variable and the reference group into brand switching on Toshiba laptops with brand image as intervening variable. The technique used in sampling on this study is non probability sampling with 130 respondents who have the criteria ever used Toshiba brand laptop and switch into other brands. The analysis method used is maximum likelihood test with AMOS program 22.0 version.The results showed that the advertisement appeals and reference groups have a positive effect on brand switching either directly or through brand image variables. Where the variable of advertisment appeal has the greatest influence on brand switching, followed by brand image and the last is the reference group.

Abstract

This study aimed to see whether there is disposition effect in glamor stocks in the Indonesian market or not , in the period 2010 - 2012. Disposition effect is deviant behavior of investors to hold losses too long and realize profits too fast . Approaches to see the disposition effect is to look at the relationship between the variables of trading volume, volatility and returns.This study used a method Vector autoregression( VAR ). The data used in this study are the data of trading volume, volatility and weekly stock returns. The sample used was 10 glamor stocks the period January 2010 - December 2012. The VAR analysis using four methods to answer the research questions, namely the analysis of the VAR, Impulse Response Function ( IRF ), Variance Decomposition and Granger Causality Test.From the test results using the VAR analysis, showed that there was no disposition effect in glamor stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Based testing can be concluded that investors behave rationally in making investment decisions. The conclusions are based on test results that have been done. Results of Impulse Response Function ( IRF ) shows the response of a variable to another variable shock. Variance Decomposition results showed a variable response to the movement of his past variables. Furthermore causality test results indicate that there is no pattern of causality between variables.
