Abstract

Research on the influence of financial ratios has been done. But, there is a gap phenomenon from the data of consumer goods companies where there is fluctuation or instability. The consumer goods companies are fairly stable sector because the product produced in the form of daily necessities products. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence ratios of liquidity, leverage, profitability, activity and market valuation to stock returns of consumer goods companies in 2012 until 2016.Objects in this study are consumer goods companies listed on the Stock Exchange Indonesia and has a complete annual reports. The research data sourced from Indonesian Market Capital Directory (ICMD) period 2012 until 2016. The selected company is a company that has conducted an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the research period. The consumer goods companies throughout the research period amounted to 40 companies with to be studied for 30 companies research samples.The  result  showed  that  the  liquidity  ratio  measured  by  current  ratio,  leverage  ratio  is measured by debt to equity ratio, profitability ratio is measured by return on equity have a negative but insignificant effect to stock return. While the activity ratio is measured by total asset turnover and market ratio as measures by price to book value have a positif significant effect to stock return.

Abstract

Printing company not only promote  an good and right result, but also requires the management of human resources is appropriate. This research is intended to explain how internal communication, leadership and training development to employees performance production team on PT Temprina Media Grafika Jawa Pos Group Semarang.            The data in this study were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 40 employees with a sampling technique is census  at the PT Temprina Media Grafika Jawa Pos Group Semarang. The technique of  testing data used in this study include theinstrument test (reliability test, validity test), the classical assumption test (normality test, heteroscedasticity, linearity test), multiple linear regression analysis, T-Tests, F Test and Coefficient of Determination Test ( R2) with SPSS 20.0.            Result indicates that internal communication, and training variable are possitve and significant effect on employee performance,but leadership variable is possitive and not significant effect on employee performance.  The correlation of internal communication, leadership, and training can explain employee performance variation as much as 28.6%.

Abstract

Flow of investment into the stock market as the impact of tax amnesty program led to the foreign markets are also feeling the impact. This study aimed to examine the effect of foreign inflow, inflation rate, interest rate and exchange rate to stock return on finance sector in tax amnesty period. Net buy is used as a proxy for the foreign inflow in stock market, interpolation of inflation rate is used for inflation, interpolation of BI 7-day repo rate is used for interest rate and exchange rate of IDR/USD is used for exchange rate.This study uses finance index in Indonesian Stock Exchange during the period July 2016 – January 2017 as the sample. The analysis technique used is regression analysis using computer software programs such as SPSS 22.0. The results showed that Foreign Inflow have significant positive effect on stock return, while Inflation, interest rate and exchange rate have no significant effect on stock return. Based on the test results of the coefficient of determination R2, the independent variables in this study had the effect as much as 31.7% to stock return.

Abstract

The amount of liquidity through current ratio (CR) in food and beverage companies experienced significant changes over period 2007-2010. Liquidity is important area in financial management because it refers to the availability of the current assets of the business to pay offthe current liabilities. Liquidity reflects the management of short-term assets and liabilities of the firms with the maturities of less than a year. Continuous monitoring is required to maintain optimum levels of various components of liqudity. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence toward the corporate liquidity. The population in this research is taken from food and beverage companies which enlisted in the BEI from year 2007 - 2010. The samples are obtained by using the purposive sampling method until only 16 companies left to be taken as samples in this research. This research uses regression analysis method to find the effect of independent variables, such as profitability,  size, receivable turnover , debt ratio , and operating cycleBased on the result of regression analysis for five independent variables, there are only receivable turnover and operating cycle that have a significant effect on the corporate liquidity. While the other variables such as profitability, size, and debt ratio have no significant effect on the corporate liquidity in food and beverages companies sector which enlisted in the BEI from year 2007 – 2010.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that effects capital structure with profitability as the intervening variable on Miscellaneous Industry Sector in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the 2012 -2016 period. Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) is the dependent variable in this study. There are three independent variables used, they are Firm Size (SIZE), Asset Structure (AS), Current Ratio (CR), and Return on Asset (ROA) as the intervening variable.The population used in this study consisted of Miscellaneous Industry Sector listed on IDX in the 2012-2016 period, bringing total population is consist of 44 companies. The sampling in this study using purposive sampling, so that the total samples are 18 companies. The data analysis methods which are used is the classical assumtion test, path analysis and Sobel Test to analyze the mediation effect of the intervening variable.The result of this study shows that SIZE has insignificant positive effect to ROA, CR has significant positive effect to ROA, and AS has significant negative effect to ROA. SIZE, CR, AS, ROA have significant negative effect to DER. ROA can’t mediate the effect of SIZE and CR to DER, while the ROA may mediate the effect of AS to DER.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the students motivation and the motivation factor to influence on entrepreneurial intention. The data of this research were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 77 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business. Mechanical testing of the data used in this research include the instrument test (validity, and reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysist, t test, F test, and coefficient of determination test using SPSS application. The result of this research shows that self efficacy and background of parents influence positively and significantly to the entrepreneurial intention. Meanwhile risk tolerance influence positively but not significantly to the entrepreneurial intention. Value of determination coefficient is 0,340 which means entrepreneurial intention is affected by risk tolerance, self efficacy and background of parents amounted to 34 %

Abstract

This research aims to determine how big the influence of the specific variables of the bank are the efficiency of management, size, financing to deposit ratio (FDR), capital adequacy, and profitability to financing problem of sharia banks in Indonesia on period 2011 to 2016. This research is done by purposive sampling method. The sample used are 7 sharia commercial banks in Indonesia. The data used are quarterly bank reports obtained from each website of sharia bank which is used as research sample. Multiple linear regression analysis was used in this study. This study uses computer software program SPSS 23. The results showed that all of independent variables used significantly affected the financing problem of sharia banks. Variable management efficiency, capital adequacy and profitability have a significant negative effect on financing problem. Financing to Deposit Ratio is the only variable has not significant effect on financing problem. The variable of bank size is the only independent variable that has a significant positive effect on financing problem. In this study, the adjusted R square has a high enough value of 0.297, which means 29,7% of the predicted NPF change of the five variables, while the remaining 70.3% is predicted by other variables outside the research model.

Abstract

For this period of time, all the work Toko Siranda has performed to fullfill consumer’s need is unsucessful and the growth of mini markets in Semarang reduces sales and turnovers in Toko Siranda. This research aims to test the effect of merchandise, store atmosphere, and interaction between customers and store clerks towards impulse buying in Toko Siranda.This research uses questionnaire with 100 samples of respondent and the technique of sample's withdrawal is accidental sampling. The result of double linear regression shows that three independent variables which are merchandise (0,281), store atmosphere (0,203) and interaction between customers and store clerk (0,371) have positive relations along with dependent variables, impulse buying. The result of t test shows the each independent variables significantly influence impulse buying. Likewise , the results of the F test ( 36.795 ) shows that the three independent variables significantly influence impulse buying although the value of adjusted R square of 0,520.And the result shows impulse buying is most affected by variable of interaction between customers and store clerks. this is caused by the service provided in Toko Siranda is friendly and well mannered. The store clerks are giving great service with hospitality, well mannered and friendly towards the customers.

Abstract

Financial health is a term used to describe the state of one's personal or company financial situation. Considering the many factors that affect the level of health of the company, this research will develop research to analyze the effect of Firm Size (siz), Investment Performance (IP), Liquidity Ratio (LR), Incurred Loss Ratio (ILR) on Financial Health of Sharia Insurance company. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the factors that affect the Financial Health of Sharia Life Insurance Company in Indonesia the period 2010 to 2015.The Financial Health measured by two methods, namely by Altman Zscore and the second with a Risk Based Capital (RBC) with Firm Size (siz), Investment Performance (IP), Liquidity Ratio (LR), Incurred Loss Ratio (ILR) as independent variables . Samples used in this study as many as 14 Sharia Life Insurance, where the method used is purposive sampling is a sampling method that takes an object with certain criteria and using cross section data, where every year the amount of data taken is not same. Analysis of data using multiple regression analysis.The results of data analysis or regression results indicate that simultaneous Firm Size (siz), Investment Performance (IP), Liquidity Ratio (LR), and Incurred Loss Ratio (ILR) affects Financial Health (Z) and Financial Health (RBC). While partially produced different results, which is only variable Investment Performance (IP) which partially affects Financial Health (Z), but on the Financial Health (RBC), Investment Performance (IP), Liquidity Ratio (LR), Incurred Loss Ratio ( ILR) partially affect the Financial Health (RBC). The magnitude of the coefficient of determination (adjusted R-square) Financial Health (Z) is equal to 0.376. This means that 37.6% dependent variable, namely the Financial Health 1 (Z) can be explained by four independent variables, ie variables Firm Size (siz), Investment Performance (IP), Liquidity Ratio (LR), Incurred Loss Ratio (ILR) while the remaining 62.4% level Financial Health (Z) is explained by variables or other causes beyond the model. Then, magnitude of the coefficient of determination (adjusted R-square) Financial Health (RBC) is approximately 0.567. This means that 56.7% dependent variable 2, namely the Financial Health (RBC) can be explained by four independent variables are variables Firm Size (siz), Investment Performance (IP), Liquidity Ratio (LR), Incurred Loss Ratio (ILR) while the remaining 43.3% Financial Health (RBC) is explained by variables or other causes beyond the model.

Abstract

Pay for performance is one of financial compensation programs that aims to improve employee performance by offering more income based on result of employee performance appraisal. The purpose of this study is to present literature reviews on the perception of implementation and effectiveness of pay for performance program. Research method using systematic literature review. The research was conducted qualitatively by collecting 21 journals related to pay for performance. Various literature reviews of pay for performance were collected to get results on the implementation and effectiveness of pay for performance programs.The result shows that pay for performance program is effective to be implemented in order to increase the performance of employee and firm
