Abstract

Abstract In this study, the researcher uses an instrument PDPJOI which is in the assessment described four aspects, they are: (1) The availability of facilities and infrastructure physical and health education, (2) the availability of sport, health and physical education personnel or teachers, (3) the performance of education units during 2012, (4) accomplishment and awards during 2012. However, in this study described here is only the availability of facilities and infrastructure aspects in sport, health and physical education for Senior high school levels in Jombang. The recapitulation results of data of study in facilities and infrastructure in the senior high school levels in Jombang obtained fair category in score ”C”. The conclusion is that the results obtained for the availability of facilities and infrastructur in sport, health and physical education in Jombang obtain 132 in scores and are categorized into fair category ”C”. This is because there are still some schools in which the availability of land for infrastructure and facilities do not meet the appropriate standards form Decree of eduactional minister No. 24 in 2007. Abstract

Abstract A provision of training media to suit the training needs that are expected to handle the adversity of cross kick techniques extracurriculer the game of sepak takraw, one of them is by using a modification of training media, such as balloons media, hanging balls media, plastic ball media, and the ball media the is not standard, where students are given the modifications in training media students will feel no fear of real sepak takraw which actually is a hard sport and the students are likely to feel pain when kicking the ball, the nature of the modification is to ease light and the media that can be played easily by students which will facilitate the movement of students doing a good cross kick and student will feel happy and not scared anymore to do a cross kick, so the modification the training media aims to facilitate of achievement wich expected good and optimum. The goals of this research is learning result to know about: the influences of using modificated media for the cross kick training result in sepak takraw in extracurriculer participant Junior High School 3 Srengat-Blitar and how high is the increase of cross kick achievement result by using modificated media in participant of extracurriculer Junior High School 3 Srengat-Blitar. This research is a kind of experiment research with descriptive quantitative approach with design One Group Pre-test and Post-test. Population of this study are the students participaed in extracurriculer Junior High School 3 Srengat-Blitar who were 30 students, samples taken throughout the student who participating in extracurriculer Junior High School 3 Srengat-Blitar who were 30 students. This research analysis use t-test similar. The result is: The use of modificated training media influences the training result of cross kick in takraw in the participant of extracurriculer at the Junior High School 3 Srengat-Blitar. From t-test is result point t count 9,14> t table 2,045 and by using modificated training media can increase the participant extracurriculer Junior High School 3 Srengat-Blitar achievement result of cross kick in takraw at the as big as 28,77%. Abstract

Abstract There are many factors which affect the low learning achievement of the students and the low effectiveness of learning physical education. One of them is the physical education sport and health teachers have less creativity in creating and developing learning strategy. A strategy which can be used by teacher to be able to implement the game models that have been modified to motivate the students in following the physical education learning. Modification is an effort which is done by the teachers in order to pay attention to the changes in students’ ability and help encouraging those changes. The objectives of this research are: 1) to find out the effect of volleyball game modification toward the learning of physical education sport and health on the eighth graders of SMPN 1 Ngancar Kediri; 2) to determine how far the effect of volleyball game modification toward the effectiveness of learning physical education sport and health on the eighth graders of Junior High School 1 Ngancar Kediri. Target of the research are the eighth graders of Junior High School 1 Ngancar Kediri and numbers taken are 30 students. This research belongs to experimental research with the descriptive quantitative approach. Data collection technique is done by using Formative Class Evaluation questionnaires and physical education observation sheets. The result of the research: the FCE average score before the learning is 2, 73 (catagorize as good), while the result after the learning is 2, 87 (categorize as very good). Those results show that there is improvement on the result of students’ FCE (pre test and post test) as 5, 01%. The result of t-test shows that tcount 4,247 > ttable 2,045. With 5% significancy degree. It can be concluded that: (1) there is significant effect from the modification of volleyball game toward the effectiveness of learning physical education sport and health on the eighth graders of SMPN 1 Ngancar Kediri; (2) the physical education learning lesson using modification of volleyball game given affects the effectiveness of learning physical education sport and health on the eighth graders of SMPN 1 Ngancar Kediri as big as5, 01%. Abstract

Abstract Health is the basic humans needs. There is no doubt that physical needs are important in maintaining the health. The higher health level, the better physical fitness level. One purpose of physical, sport and health education is to improve the students’ physical fitness. Physical fitness is one’s physical ability in doing daily exercises optimally, even still be able to do another physical exercise without causing significant fatigue. The students’ physical fitness is affected by daily activities, whether in the school or out the school. In addition, student’s daily activities when they leave and go home which use the physical activities, such as go cycling and walking could affect students’ physical fitness. The research questions are: 1) Is there any differences between cycling and walking to the school toward students’ physical fitness level in seven grade of SMP Negeri 1 Sempu Kabupaten Banyuwangi? 2) To what extend is the differences between cycling with walking to the school toward students’ physical fitness level in seven grade of SMP Negeri 1 Sempu Kabupaten Banyuwangi? 3) If there is difference, which one is better, the physical fitness level of seven graders who go cycling or who go on foot to the SMP Negeri 1 Sempu Kabupaten Banyuwangi ? The sample of research is the purposive sampling. It is a sampling that the characteristics have been known according to the characteristics or natures of the population. Sampling is done by distributing the questionnaires so it will obtains the group of students who go cycling to the school and the group of students who go walking to the school. The Research method used is Descriptive Quantitative Method and t-test (Independent Sample t-test), while the process of collecting the data is done by using the MFT test. The result can be concluded as: 1) there are differences in the level of physical fitness between students who go cycling to the school with those who go walking to the school. It can be seen on the MTF result that the students who go cycling to the school have the average score as 37,121; standard deviations score as 6,2273; and variant score as 38,780; then the lowest score is 27,6 and the highest score is 47,9. While the MTF result of students that walks to the school have the average core as 43,584; standard deviations score as 8,7562; and variant score as 76,670; then the lowest score is 30,2 and the highest score is 55,7. From the analysis result of independent sample t-test (the test of average differences between the group), it is obtained: tcount (2,622) > ttable (1,684). In other words, there is significant difference in physical fitness level of students in seven grade of SMP Negeri 1 Sempu Kabupaten Banyuwangi who goes cycling to the school with those who walks to the school. 2) The result of average difference concludes that the physical fitness level which is measured in the MTF test from students who goes walks to the school is higher than the MTF test of students who goes cycling to the school with the percentage as 6,9%. Abstract

Abstract Sport is important for human to obtain fit and healthy life. In school environment, the health and physical fitness of the students are achieved through exercises and doing sports applied in physical education subject. This study aims to know (1) the difference in physical fitness between the students of junior high school located in mountainous area, i.e. the seventh graders of VII SMPN 5, and the one located in the coastal area, i.e. those of SMPN 7 kota Mojokerto; and (2) whose physical fitness is better between the two groups. This study used non-experimental design within descriptive quantitative approach, which did not manipulate any variable. The hypothesis testing was based on the results of data tabulation of the students’ physical fitness between the two groups, which were statistically organized and analyzed to test the hypothesis, the researcher used t-test. The calculation of the t-test shows that the t-value is 0.601, which is less than t-table (2,000) at the significance level of 5%. Therefore, Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted. It means that there is no difference between the level of physical fitness between the students of junior high school located in mountainous area and those of junior high school located in the coastal area. Abstract

Abstract Sport, physical, and health education, (Penjasorkes), is a lesson in school that is not only aimed to take care of the students’ health and freshness but also aimed as a media to instill the sport values consisting in it.That values are politeness, sincerity, discipline, sportivity, responsibility, never give up, and healthy lifestyle.The target of this research is to know how students’ attitude in the study of penjasorkes. This research belongs to Quantitative Descriptive research. The sample of this research is all the fifth grade students of SDN Kedungmungal, Pungging, Mojokerto. The result of the survey indicated that the students’ attitude in the study of penjasorkes is very good. It can be known from the attitude indicator including discipline, self-confidence, sincerity, cooperation, never give up, leadership, tolerance, self-control, respecting the teacher and responsibility. They are all in good category. The average percentage of the overall student attitude in the study of penjasorkes is 68.72%. The highest percentage for the students’ attitude is in never give up indicator which reach up to 79,3%. Keywords : Teaching and learning process of Penjasorkes, Attitude, Students of SD.

Abstract

Abstract Snack choice is one of the types of foods that are very well known and common in the community, especially school-age children. Snack choice that contains nutrients, securely packaged and processed has a special attraction for the community. School children usually buy food at the hawker street food vendors hawked around the school or in the school cafeteria. Therefore, traders play an important role in the provision of healthy food and nutritious snacks as well as safety. With so many foods that contain harmful chemicals on the market, school canteens and food vendors around the school is that the seller can make students eat unhealthy foods. The purpose of this study to deter`mine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes regarding the selection of snack choice to choose foods with the child's behavior in public elementary schools Sambikerep II/480 Surabaya. Objective of this study is class VA and VB Sambikerep II/480 primary schools who are 71 students Surabaya. This research is a descriptive study. Data retrieval by filling out questionnaires. The results of this research are: 1) That there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes regarding the selection of snack foods with the child's behavior in choosing food SDN II/480 Sambikerep Surabaya, for testing the significance of the multiple correlation coefficients are yielding significant probability of 0,027 < significance level of 0,05, tested the correlation coefficient is significant. 2) There is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of young children with behavior in choosing food SDN II/480 Sambikerep Surabaya with a contribution of 10.1%. Abstract

Abstract In the world of senior high school education (high school) there are two different majors natural sciences (IPA) and social science (IPS). Both majors have the characteristics of students and academic learning are different, those differences impact the students' interest in learning of sport and physical education, interest will either give a good impact on the learning objectives.The goal of such research was to get information about students' interest towards the learning of sport and physical education in SMAN 1 Sidoarjo. Researchers in this study used a quantitative approach to the type non-experimental research design was survey and comparability. The variable in this study is the difference in grade science and social studies classes (independent variable) and an interest in teaching physical education, sport, and health (dependent variable). The population in this study were all students of class XI and XII in SMAN 1 Sidoarjo and the samples of the research were three classes of science class, a class XI IPA 5, XI IPA 8, and 4 and class XII science XI IPS 1, XI IPS 2, XII IPS 1, and XII IPS 2.The results of the analysis of students' interest in science classes and social studies classes to learning of sport and  physical education in SMAN 1 Sidoarjo was no significant difference can be seen from the results of  thitung 1.249  declared value is not significant at the 5% level of accuracy because the sig (2-tailed) in the calculation of 0.214 > more than the value of alpha (a = 0.05). Interests grade science and social studies classes to teaching physical education, sport, and health fall into the category that the show was the percentage of IPA by 63 , 8% and 62.7% grade social studies. thus concluded that free no difference between interest-class science and social studies classes at SMAN 1 Sidoarjo Keywords : Interest of student class IPS and class IPS, learning of sport and physical education

Abstract

Abstract Physical education in school has important role for education as a whole. The existence of physical education in school is not only to increase children’s healthiness and fitness, but also give cognitive, affective, and psychomotor experience.The main focus of physical education teaching is how to make students feel happy in doing moving activities so it can be optimized.The teaching method done was like what adults did, so students have difficulties in doing the movement. For example, elementary students were given volley ball serve with the size of the court, ball, and net height used by adults. So elementary students followed that rule did not enjoy it and had difficulties in joining sport. Response shows when there is object to be observed, attention to observation object and there are senses as the capture of the object being observed. There are several factors determining the emergence of response : experience, learning process, the level of individual experience, and personality value. The goal of the research is to describe teacher’s and students’ response toward the teaching of physical education done by using modification approach in volley ball game at grade 5 students Wateswinangun I elementary school Sambeng-Lamongan. The conclusions of the research are : 1) The score from question no 1 is 59,3% categorized as agree, question no 2 is 69% said very agree, question no 3 is 41% said agree, question no 4 is 72% said very agree, question no 5 is 75% categorized as agree,  on question no 6 is 84,3% said agree, no 7 is 53,1% said agree, no 8 is 3,12% said agree, questions no 9 is 9,4% said agree, question no 10 is 3,12% said agree. Thus, it can be concluded that teacher’s and students’ response toward physical education teaching through modification approach is categorized as agree. Abstract

Abstract Basketball extracurricular activities in junior high schools 2 Ketapang district Sampang, students seem less eager to follow the material in any given workout. This is because the condition of the students' level of physical fitness is not good, and is unable to perform activities of basketball practice until the end. For that is expected for extracurricular basketball teachers and trainers should be able to provide many alternative forms of training models that are improved physical fitness. With a running exercise thigh lift, skip pat, push-ups are packed with circuit design trainning then a student can develop strength, endurance, and overall physical fitness. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of exercise running up the thighs, pat down, push-ups with a circuit design training to increase students' physical fitness, extracurricular basketball participants. Objectives of this study were students of junior high schools 2 Ketapang extracurricular basketball Sampang Ketapang district and the number of study subjects included a total of 27 students: 15 boys and 12 students daughters. The method in this analysis using statistical methods and quantitative comparative desikriptif. Conclusion The results of the study are: Exercise Running thigh lift, jump pat, push-ups with circuit training design significantly influence students' physical fitness improvement, the results of the t test showed tcount 6.871 > 2.056 ttable value. Providing training run thigh lift, jump pat, push-ups with circuit training patterns can improve physical fitness of students in extracurricular basketball junior high schools 2 Ketapang District Sampang 10.0%.
