Abstract

Local perfume brand @jelione utilizes Word of Mouth (WOM) communication strategies to build customer loyalty. Online perfume purchases offer limited sensory experiences, making conversations via Instagram and WhatsApp an important aspect in shaping consumer perceptions and trust before making a purchase. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a focus on analyzing consumer experiences that are not only related to user experiences with physical products, but also Communication Experiences formed through digital interactions. The results show that @jelione's WOM strategy is oriented towards creating positive and authentic communication experiences, including through active responses to comments and Direct Messages (DM) by utilizing usergenerated content. This two-way communication has been proven to increase brand credibility and customer emotional attachment. This study contributes to strengthening interactive marketing communication research through the application of a symmetrical two-way communication model, emphasizing that trust, interaction quality, and communication satisfaction are key factors in shaping customer loyalty to products that cannot be directly tested by the senses.

Abstract

This practice-based research examines "Pawon Cerita: Saka Dapur, Tumukul Rasa," a visual communication project designed to reframe culinary offerings at Pasar Papringan as cultural narratives rather than mere tourism commodities. The study addresses the strategic challenge of connecting visitors with local kitchen traditions and the core values of "3L" Local (Lokal), Delicious (Lezat), and Sustainable (Lestari) within a community-based tourism context. Theoretically, the project integrates the MOVE framework, the Open-System Model of Event Management, and visual semiotics. Methodologically, it employs a descriptive qualitative approach supported by descriptive quantitative data, utilizing participant observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with three purposive informant clusters: internal organizers, vendors, and visitors. The project was operationalized through a multi-layered special event consisting of a photography exhibition, walking narrative installations, interactive mirrors, a message corner, and interactive talk shows. Findings reveal that the exhibition reached approximately 4,211 visitors, successfully serving as a "narrative gateway" that guided public interpretation of local food as an expression of village identity and soil-to-table processes. Evaluation data indicated a high level of visitor comprehension regarding 3L values, while qualitative feedback highlighted increased vendor pride and economic benefits. Despite technical constraints in sound systems and digital evaluation reach, the research concludes that Pawon Cerita effectively functions as a medium for cultural communication and identity reinforcement. These results offer strategic insights for enhancing community engagement and narrative design in rural revitalization initiatives.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the phenomenon of low-quality public policies in Indonesia, characterized by a high rate of regulatory overlap and policy annulments by the Constitutional Court due to weaknesses in the formulation stage. The objective of this study is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the influence of technical competency standards for policy analysts on the quality of public policy formulation in Indonesia. The research method employed is a normative legal approach using both a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The research results indicate that standardizing technical competencies based on Evidence-Informed Policymaking and mastery of big data literacy significantly enhances individual analytical capacity to produce accurate, evidence-based policy recommendations. These findings reveal a gap between current regulatory standards and the demands of complex analytical practices in the field, where strengthening technical competencies has proven to be a determining factor in reducing formulation errors. In conclusion, strengthening technical competency standards is a crucial pillar for the success of bureaucratic reform. The implications of these findings recommend the need for a reorientation of the training curriculum for policy analyst positions by the National Administrative Agency to be more adaptive to digital transformation, thereby ensuring higher-quality, accountable, and far-reaching public policy practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the use of local wisdom in Indonesian political communication as a form of cultural transformation in the 2024 electoral campaigns. The study aims to analyze the integration of local values into contemporary political communication strategies and the factors contributing to their effectiveness. This research employs a systematic literature review (SLR) method by analyzing various studies related to political communication, local culture, and digital campaigns in Indonesia. The findings indicate that the use of local cultural symbols such as wayang performances, traditional clothing, cultural rituals, and religious leadership strengthens campaign resonance, builds emotional connections with communities, and enhances candidates’ political legitimacy. The effectiveness of these strategies is further amplified through the integration of digital media, particularly in engaging young voters. The study also reveals that cultural relevance, the social legitimacy of local leaders, institutional support, and the digital adaptation of cultural symbols are key factors in the success of local wisdom-based political communication. This study concludes that the integration of local traditions and digital media can strengthen inclusive democratic practices while preserving Indonesian cultural identity within contemporary political communication.

Abstract

This study examines Pancasila as a normative framework for socially just natural resource governance in Indonesia. Although natural resources are constitutionally intended to be controlled by the state and utilised for the greatest prosperity of the people, the practice of natural resource governance still reveals various problems, including resource conflicts, unequal control, weak benefit distribution, limited community participation, and ecological degradation. This study employed a qualitative method based on a systematic literature review by identifying, classifying, and analysing relevant literature, legal norms, and academic studies. The findings show that Pancasila, particularly the principle of social justice, can be operationalised as an evaluative and prescriptive parameter in natural resource governance. This parameter includes five main dimensions: state control, resource utilisation, benefit distribution, community participation, and environmental sustainability. The study concludes that socially just natural resource governance must not be oriented merely toward economic growth, investment, and state revenue, but also toward equitable welfare, protection of affected communities, meaningful participation, and ecological sustainability
