Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil data PISA tahun 2018 literasi sains siswa Indonesia menduduki peringkat ke-70 dengan jumlah negara peserta sebanyak 79 dengan skor rata-rata literasi sains siswa Indonesia 396. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa di Indonesia masih di bawah rata-rata standar PISA, hal tersebut dapat menjadi salah satu gambaran bahwa kualitas pembelajaran sains di Indonesia perlu dibenahi. Collaborative learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam mengungkapkan gagasan untuk memecahkan suatu permasalahan secara kelompok. Kegiatan dalam tahap collaborative learning berupa identifikasi masalah hingga penarikan kesimpulan yang dilakukan dengan melakukan suatu pengamatan tersebut sesuai dengan kegiatan literasi sains. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menghasilkan LKS berbasis collaborative learning pada materi daur ulang limbah untuk melatih literasi sains siswa kelas X SMA yang layak secara teoritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pengembangan 4D yang dibatasi hanya pada tahap pendefinisian, perecanaan, dan pengembangan. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan ke 40 siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Sidoarjo. Hasil uji kelayakan secara teoritis ditentukan berdasarkan hasil skor validasi. Berdasarkan analisis validitas didapatkan modus skor seluruh komponen sebesar 4.00 dengan kategori valid. Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan, disimpulkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori layak secara teoritis dan dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Abstract

Metacognitive skill is one of the skills needed in community 4.0. This development research was aimed to produce valid student worksheet based on Know Want Learned (KWL) strategy for photosynthesis topic to facilitate students’ metacognitive skill. The student worksheet consists of three main phases of learning activities, namely Know, Want, and Learned phase which help to facilitate students' metacognitive skill. This development research used ADDIE development model. The research stage was begun by students, school curriculum, concept, and task analysis than continued with design and development of student worksheet stage in Biology Department, Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The student worksheet was then implemented to fifteen 12th grade students of MAN 5 Jombang. The data of student worksheet validity obtained from the validation of an education expert, a plant physiology expert, and a biology teacher that were analyzed based on mode. The validation result showed that the student worksheet was very valid with mode of 4,00. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the student worksheet was worthy to be used in facilitating student metacognitive skill. Abstract

Pada proses belajar saat ini, khususnya untuk jenjang SMA sangat tidak efektif jika tidak diseimbangkan dengan teknologi. Banyak sekali teknologi saat ini yang membantu proses belajar siswa SMA khususnya materi biologi tentang jamur yang diselenggarakan dengan inspiratif, interaktif, dan menyenangkan. Sehingga minat siswa dalam mengikuti proses belajar dalam kelas meningkat. Sehingga dikembangkan penelitian media kartu Make a Match mengaplikasikan model ASSURE yang meliputi tahap Analyze Learner, State Objective, tahap Select Media, Materials, and Method, tahap Utilize Media and Materials, tahap Require Learner Participation, dan tahap Evaluate and revise. Dimana penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahapan Select Media, Materials and Method. Penelitian dilakukan di Jurusan Biologi, FMIPA, Universitas Negeri Surabaya dan SMAN 2 Sidoarjo. Aspek penilain validasi kartu Make a Match adalah aspek penyajian, aspek format dan aspek isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kartu Make a Match memperoleh skor rata-rata 3,60 (sangat valid). Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kartu Make a Match pada materi Jamur valid berdasarkan hasil validasi para ahli. Abstract

Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar di Satuan Pendidikan bila masih terpusat pada guru, siswa tidak banyak melakukan sesuatu dan mendengarkan saja merupakan salah satu indikator belum tercapainya ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar siswa meningkat bila menggunakan metode kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stary pada materi sistem ekskresi. Prosedur penelitian ini Ada tiga (3) yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap analisis data. Pada tahap pelaksanaan terdiri dari tiga (3) pertemuan : pertemuan I pretest dan diskusi, pertemuan II presentasi, pertemuan III posttest. KKM yang ditetapkan 78 dengan jumlah siswa 60. 20 siswa tuntas dan 40 belum tuntas, rata-rata 63,98 persentase ketuntasan belajar 32%. Hasil posttest 56 siswa tuntas dan 4 siswa belm tunas nilai rata-rata 92,65 atau tingkat ketuntasan mencapai 96%, Maka setelah diterapkan metode kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray menunjukkan nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat yaitu 64%, dengan capaian diatas KKM 78. Abstract

Penggunaan Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik (LKPD) sebagai bahan pembelajaran belum sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik peserta didik, karena dalam kegiatan pembelajaran kurang dilatihkannya mengenai literasi sains sehingga keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik rendah. Peneliti mengembangkan LKPD dengan memanfaatkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang setiap sintaksnya dikaitkan dengan indikator keterampilan literasi sains. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian pengembangan 4-D (Define, Design, Develop serta Dessiminate), akan tetapi peneliti melaksanakan hanya sampai tahap Develop. Tujuan peneliti melakukan penelitian ini untuk membuat LKPD berbasis PBL pada materi bakteri untuk melatihkan keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik yang dinilai valid berdasarkan hasil validasi menggunakan lembar validasi yang berisi kelayakan LKPD. Kegiatan penilaian validasi dilaksanakan oleh 3 dosen yaitu dosen pendidikan biologi, dosen biologi bidang materi bakteri serta guru biologi SMA. Analisis data dilakukan secara statistik deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penilaian validasi terhadap LKPD memperoleh kategori sangat valid dengan skor rata-rata 3,65, sehingga sangat layak digunakan untuk kegiatan pembelajaran pada materi bakteri. Abstract

Problem based learning that involve student to solve authentic problem need to be applied for understanding its role in training students’ problem solving ability. This research aimed to (1) describe the implementation of problem based learning, (2) describe mastery of student’s problem solving ability who are taught problem based learning and (3) describe student’s responses about problem based learning. This research was a pre-experimental using one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample which selected using purposive sampling were X IPA 6 of MAN Sidoarjo as a experiment class. Data was collected by observation, test and questionnaire. Data were analyzed based on learning implementation, the mastery level of student’s problem solving ability, and student responses. Results showed that problem based learning carried out very good (in the percentage 97.5%). The student’s mastery level of problem solving ability increased with a percentage of 80% after applying problem based learning. Students was positively response to the problem based learning (in the percentage of 86%). Keywords: Problem based learning, Problem solving ability

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the low percentage of daily assessment of plant tissue structure and function material of 37.8%. The daily assessment problem that has been tested to students has never been analysis, therefore researchers aim to describe the quality of the problem, improve the problem and obtain better quality questions in the daily assessment made by teachers of plant tissue structure and function materials at SMAN 20 Surabaya school year 2020/2021. This research is descriptive research with qualitative and quantitative methods. Data collection techniques are carried out through interview techniques, studies, and tests using the instrument sheet daily assessment made by teachers 25 multiple choice questions and 4 essays, problem improvement sheets, latticework made by teachers, and student answer sheets. The subjects of this study were 30 students from grade XI IPA 3 SMAN 20 Surabaya.The results showed the reliability value of the teacher's problem was 0.64, the difficulty level showed 2 difficult questions (8%), 9 medium questions (35%), 7 easy questions (28%) and 7 very easy questions (28%). the differentiating index shows 8 very good questions (32%), 6 good questions (24%), 4 questions are enough (16%) ; distractors show 3 very good questions (12%), 2 good questions (8%), 6 questions are enough (24%), 5 questions are bad (20%), and 9 questions are very bad (36%). Daily assessment questions of function material and plant tissue structure made by teachers can be concluded to have low reliability, low difficulty level, good difference index, and bad distractor. Improvement item can be concluded to have high reliability, medium difficulty level, highly good difference index, highly good distractor. Keywords: Study of item question , Daily assessment, Plant tissue structure and function Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya persentase penilaian harian struktur jaringan tanaman dan fungsi bahan sebesar 37,8%. Soal asesmen sehari-hari yang diujikan kepada siswa belum pernah dianalisis, oleh karena itu peneliti bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas soal, memperbaiki masalah dan mendapatkan soal yang lebih berkualitas dalam asesmen harian yang dilakukan oleh guru materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan di SMAN. 20 Surabaya tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik wawancara, pembelajaran, dan tes dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar penilaian harian yang dibuat guru sebanyak 25 soal pilihan ganda dan 4 karangan, lembar perbaikan masalah, kisi-kisi yang dibuat oleh guru, dan lembar jawaban siswa. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 30 siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMAN 20 Surabaya, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai reliabilitas soal guru sebesar 0,64, tingkat kesulitan menunjukkan 2 soal sulit (8%), 9 soal sedang (35%), 7 pertanyaan mudah (28%) dan 7 pertanyaan sangat mudah (28%). indeks pembeda menunjukkan 8 pertanyaan sangat baik (32%), 6 pertanyaan baik (24%), 4 pertanyaan cukup (16%); distraktor menunjukkan 3 pertanyaan sangat baik (12%), 2 pertanyaan baik (8%), 6 pertanyaan cukup (24%), 5 pertanyaan buruk (20%), dan 9 pertanyaan sangat buruk (36%). Soal penilaian harian materi fungsi dan struktur jaringan tanaman yang dibuat oleh guru dapat disimpulkan memiliki reliabilitas rendah, tingkat kesulitan rendah, indeks selisih baik, dan distraktor buruk. Item perbaikan dapat disimpulkan memiliki reliabilitas tinggi, tingkat kesulitan sedang, indeks selisih sangat baik, distraktor sangat baik. Abstract

Abstrak Keterampilan pemecahan masalah termasuk salah satu keterampilan yang sangat berpengaruh pada kehidupan sehari-hari peserta didik, terutama untuk menyelesaikan problematika yang sering mereka dihadapi dan sudah menjadi bagian dalam kehidupannya. Selain keterampilan penyelesaian masalah, sikap peduli lingkungan juga dinilai perlu dikembangkan oleh peserta didik. Salah satu topik materi pada mata pelajaran biologi khususnya kelas 10 SMA yang sesuai untuk menunjang aktivitas pembelajaran dalam melatihkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah maupun sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik adalah materi perubahan lingkungan. Materi perubahan lingkungan dianggap sangat penting untuk diajarkan agar peserta didik mampu menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan di lingkungan sekitar mereka dengan gagasan-gagasan solutif yang mereka kembangkan, sehingga pemilihan materi perubahan lingkungan dianggap relevan untuk diaplikasikan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Salah satu upaya dalam melatihkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada peserta didik maka diperlukan bahan ajar berupa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang difungsikan sebagai media guna mewujudkan ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menghasilkan LKPD terintegrasi sikap peduli lingkungan berbasis Problem Based Learning, pada materi perubahan lingkungan untuk melatihkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah yang valid. Penggunaan model pengembangan 4D (Four D Models) dipilih dan diterapkan pada penelitian ini namun hanya dibatasi sampai tahap pengembangan (develope) tanpa tahap penyebaran (disseminate) dengan metode validasi sebagai teknik dalam pengumpulan data. Berdasarkan hasil validasi yang telah dilakukan oleh validator yang merupakan pakar pendidikan dan pakar ekologi, serta guru biologi SMA, diketahui bahwa validitas Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi perubahan lingkungan untuk melatihkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah yang telah dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid dengan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 92,47%. Abstract Problem solving skills are one of the skills that were very influential in the daily lives of students, especially to solve problems that they often face and have become a part of their lives. In addition to problem-solving skills, environmental care attitudes was also deemed to be developed by students. One of the material topics in biology subjects, especially in grade 10 high school that were suitable to support learning activities in practicing problem solving-skills and environmental care for students was environmental change material. Environmental change material was considered very important to be taught so that students were able to solve a problem in their environment with the solution ideas they develop, so that the selection of environmental change material is considered relevant to be applied using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. One of the efforts to practice problem-solving skills for students, it was necessary to have teaching materials in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD) which function as a medium to realize the achievement of learning objectives. The purpose of this research was to produce LKPD integrated environmental care based on Problem Based Learning, on environmental change material to practice valid problem-solving skills with the validation method as a technique in data collection. The used of the 4D development model has chosen and applied for this research but only limited to the develope stage without dessiminate stage. Based on the results of the validation that has been carried out by validators who are education experts and ecologists, as well as high school biology teachers, it was known that the validity of Problem Based Learning (PBL) -based Student Worksheets (PBL) on environmental change material to practice problem-solving skills that have been developed included in the very valid category with a feasibility level of 92.47%. Abstract

Literasi digital adalah kemampuan peserta didik yang harus dikuasai di abad ke-21. Tujuan penelitian adalah menghasilkan e-book keanekaragaman hayati yang praktis, valid, dan efektif sebagai sumber belajar dan untuk melatihkan literasi digital. Penelitian ini dikembangkan model 4D, tanpa tahap disseminate. Validitas e-book diukur berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, ahli pendidikan, dan ahli teknologi informasi. Kepraktisan e-book diukur berdasarkan respons praktisi (guru) dan peserta didik. Keefektifan e-book diukur berdasarkan nilai ketuntasan tes literasi digital. Uji coba terbatas penelitian melibatkan 20 peserta didik dan 5 orang guru. Jenis penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif-kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-book dinyatakan valid (modus=4). E-book dinyatakan praktis berdasarkan penilaian praktisi (modus=4) serta respons peserta didik (persentase respons positif sebesar 94%). E-book dinyatakan efektif diukur berdasarkan perolehan rata-rata literasi digital peserta didik sebesar 0.7 dengan kategori tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-book keanekaragaman hayati valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam pembelajaran sebagai sumber belajar dan untuk melatihkan literasi digital peserta didik kelas X SMA. Digital literacy is an abilities that must be mastered by the students in the 21st century. The purpose this research was to produce a practical, valid, and effective biodiversity e-book as a learning resource which can train digital literacy. This developmental research was reffered to 4D model, without the disseminate stage. Validation was carried out based on the evaluation of material experts, education experts, and information technology experts. Practicality was measured based on practitioners’ and students’ responses. Effectiveness was measured based on the completeness value of the digital literacy test. The limited trial involved 20 students and 5 teachers. Data were analyzed descriptive-quantitatively. The results showed the e-book was declared valid (modus=4) and practical based on the practitioner's assessment (modus=4) and the students' responses (94% positive responses), also declared to be effective based on the average of students' digital literacy scored by 0.7 in the high category. It can be concluded that the biodiversity e-book is valid, practical, and effective to be used learning as a learning resource and can train the digital literacy for 10th grade high school.

Abstract

Abstract Lack of conceptual comprehension can lead students to form a wrong concept. Students’ conceptual comprehension that is different from the actual concept is called a misconception. Biological topic that is prone to misconception is cell bioprocess because the topic is abstract and complete. This research aims to describe the profile of students’ misconceptions using the three-tier diagnostic test, to describe the factors that cause misconceptions, and to offer solutions that overcome students’ misconceptions in cell bioprocess topic. The data collection methods were carried out by providing a three-tier diagnostic test through google form and interviewing through google meet and social media. The research subjects were 60 students of the 11th grade MIPA in SMA Negeri 1 Kamal. The data of diagnostic test were processed and grouped according to the category of students’ conceptual comprehension, besides the interviews data were analyzed by generalizations based on interviews’ answers. The results showed that 76% misconception occurred in cell bioprocess with 79.40% misconception in membrane transport, 74.30% misconception in protein synthesis, and 71.80% misconception in cell reproduction. Factors that cause misconceptions are students' low mastery of the concepts, the use of complicated terms and incomplete information in textbooks, also the lack of interaction between teachers and students. Students’ misconceptions can be reduced through the application of interactive models or media that assist in constructing conceptual comprehension correctly. Further studies of the development and implementation of digital-based learning media in cell bioprocess topic including membrane transport, cell reproduction, and protein synthesis sub-topic should be done near the future to reduce students’ misconceptions.
