Abstract

The research reported in this skripsi is intended to produce the feasible learning materials (syllabus, lesson plan, assessment sheet, student’s worksheet and hand out) and to describe its feasibility. These learning materials were used to apply a learning process based on Guided Inquiry to facilitate the students’ experimental skill in Elasticity topic. The feasibility of the learning materials was based on its validity, practicability and effectiveness. The learning materials were valid when it could differentiate the students according to their abilities, and it was practical when it was easy to be used by the teachers and students. These learning materials were effective when it made the students were able to do the experiment. These aspects were tested by ADDIE model. The first work of this model was to analyze the Core Competence, Base Competence, learning materials and experimental activity in SMAN 1 Krembung. The second work was to design the prototype of the learning materials. The third, this prototype was validated to produce the final version of the learning materials. The fourth, these learning materials were implemented to 32 numbers of students in the 10th grade of Science 1 SMAN 1 Krembung. Finally, the learning materials feasibility was described. The result indicated that these learning materials were able to differentiate the 32 numbers of students’ ability, so it was very valid. These learning materials were practical because 95 % of all the activities in these learning materials were easy to be used by the teachers and students, and almost all of students gave positive responses. The 32 numbers of students were able to do the experiment in Elasticity topic with score 0.3 – 0.7 (of 0 – 1 scale). This score compared with the skill before the students used these learning materials. Consequently, 21 of 32 numbers of students passed the performance assessment with score between 79.2 and 92.7, this score is above the minimum score (78.0). According to the above results, the learning materials based on Guided Inquiry were feasible to facilitate the students’ experimental skill in Elasticity topic.   Key words: learning materials, Guided Inquiry, Students experimental skill and Elasticity.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to develope android mobile learning using app inventor to train high school studentss science process skill which feasible (valid, practical, and effective). The type of research is development research of ADDIE’s model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subject of research are 20 students of XI grade SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya. The technique of data collection are questionnaire and observation. Mobile learning is declared feasible if percentage of validity (learning, material, media), practicality (learning’s implementation is 93% with the constraint that faced was sometimes application stopped suddenly),  and effectiveness (students’s science process skills and responses) are ≥ 61% with good and excellent category. The result of research shows the validity of mobile learning is excellent (learning 93%, material 96%, and media 86%), the practicality is excellent (learning’s implementation 93%) and the constraint that faced is sometimes application stopped suddenly, and effectiveness is good (observing 100%, formulating hypotheses 65%, identifying variables 100%, interpreting data 65%, communicating 65% and students’s response are positive with percentage between 81% and 91%. Research conclude that android mobile learning using app inventor can train high school students’s science process skill. Keywords: mobile learning, android, and science process skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKS berbasis Inkuiri terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sesuai kurikulum 2013 yang memenuhi kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, dan Evaluate). Sasaran penelitian adalah 25 siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah menggunakan angket dan pengamatan. Kevalidan menghasilkan kriteria sangat valid (pembelajaran 87% dan materi 82%). Kepraktisan keterlaksanaan menghasilkan 90% sangat praktis dengan kendala yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya waktu. Keefektifan menghasilkan sikap ilmiah dalam kriteria sangat baik dan baik (teliti 80%, bekerja sama 92%, jujur 92%, dan terbuka 76%) dan keterampilan proses dalam kreteria sangat baik dan baik (mengamati 64%, menanya 80%, menalar 76%, mencoba 92%, dan mengkomunikasikan 76%). Hasil respon siswa adalah 92% positif. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dapat melatihkan keterampilan proses sesuai kurikulum 2013.   Kata kunci : LKS, Inkuiri Terbimbing, Keterampilan Proses

Abstract

The research entitled “The Implementation of Virtual Laboratory Based Learning Using PhET Simulation on Kinetic Theory of Gases Topic for Increasing The Learning Outcome of Grade XI Students At Kanjeng Sepuh Sidayu Islamic Senior High School” aimed to analyze students learning outcome after joining virtual laboratory based learning using PhET Simulation on kinetic theory of gases topic at Kanjeng Sepuh Islamic Senior High School. This research used pre-experimental design with one group pre-test post-test design. The participants of this study were students of XI MIA 1 which are chosen using purposive sampling technique as an experiment class. The results of this study on the form of pre-test and post-test data were analyzed using normality test, homogenity test, t test and normalized gain test. The result of this study shows that the research sample comes from normal population. The students learning outcome after joining the learning activity is better than before which was showed by one tailed t test analysis had tcalc of 15,30. For the enhancement of students learning outcome based on n-gain test was 0,64 which are categorized as middle enhancement. The implementation of virtual laboratory based learning using PhET Simulation at Kanjeng Sepuh Islamic Senior High School gained very good mark.   Keywords : virtual laboratory based learning, PhET Simulation, kinetic theory of gases

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD untuk melatihkan self-efficacy siswa pada materi gerak harmonik sederhana yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan, yang mengembangkan LKPD dengan menggunakan model Four D (4-D), yang terdiri dari define (pendefinisian), design (perencanaan), develop (pengembangan) dan disseminate (penyebaran), namun tahap disseminate tidak dilakukan. Kegiatan pengembangan dilaksanakan di Jurusan Fisika FMIPA Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Uji coba LKPD dilakukan secara terbatas kepada 30 siswa kelas X MIA-4 MAN 2 Kediri. Metode pegumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode validasi, observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis validitas, keterlaksanaan LKPD dan perilaku self-efficacy siswa, analisis hasil belajar (post test), dan analisis hasil angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Berdasarkan hasil validasi, LKPD dinyatakan valid karena diperoleh skor 91% dan berdasarkan dari skala likert termasuk kriteria sangat layak. (2) Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis ditunjukkan dari hasil keterlaksanaan LKPD yang diperoleh skor 83% dan self-efficacy siswa yaitu 10% siswa memiliki self-efficacy sangat tinggi, 83% siswa memiliki self-efficacy tinggi dan 7% siswa memiliki self-efficacy cukup tinggi. (3) Hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan bahwa 80% siswa tuntas dan hasil respon siswa menunjukkan bahwa LKPD memperoleh respon positif sebesar 83%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori valid, sangat praktis, dan sangat efektif sehingga dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran serta dapat melatihkan self-efficacy siswa dilihat dari hasil pengamatan dan angket perilaku self-efficacy siswa yang tinggi.   Kata Kunci: Penelitian pengembangan, LKPD untuk melatihkan self-efficacy siswa, gerak harmonik sederhana.   Abstract   This study aims to produce employee work sheet to train students self-efficacy on simple, practical, and effective harmonic motion materials. This research is a development study, which developed employee work sheet by using Four D (4-D) model, which consists of define, design, develop and disseminate, but dissemination stage is not done. Development activities carried out in the Department of Physics State University of Surabaya. Employee work sheet trials were conducted on a limited basis to 30 students of class X MIA-4 MAN 2 Kediri. Data collection method used is the method of validation, observation, test, and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used are validity analysis, employee work sheet implementation and student self-efficacy behavior, analysis of learning outcomes (post test), and analysis of questionnaire responses of learners. The results showed that: (1) Based on the validation result, employee work sheet was declared valid because the score was 91% and based on the Likert scale including criteria very feasible. (2) The learners work sheet  developed included in the very practical category is shown from the result of employee work sheet implementation obtained by 83% score and student self-efficacy that is 10% students have very high self-efficacy, 83% students have self-efficacy high and 7% of students have high self-efficacy. (3) Student learning result shows that 80% of student completion and result of student response indicate that employee work sheet get positive response equal to 83%. Thus it can be concluded that the employee work sheet developed included in the category of valid, very practical, and very effective so that it can be used in the learning process and can train student self-efficacy seen from the observation and questionnaire behavior of high student self-efficacy.   Keywords : Research development, employee work sheet to train student self-efficacy, simple harmonic motion

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan alat peraga tabung venturi untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains pada materi fluida dinamik yang layak (valid, praktis, dan efektif).. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mengacu pada model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation).  Alat peraga yang dikembangkan ditelaah oleh dua orang pakar dari dosen fisika Unesa, kemudian divalidasi oleh dua dosen fisika unesa dan satu guru fisika SMAN 1 Bangsal,Mojokerto. Berdasarkan hasil validasi yang dilakukan, alat peraga yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan dari aspek validitas. Untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari aspek keefektifan dilakukan uji coba terbatas terhadap 15 siswa pada kelas XI MIA 1 SMAN 1 Bangsal. Aspek keefektifan terdiri dari ketercapaian aspek pengetahuan dan aspek keterampilan, aspek keterampilan dalam penelitian ini yaitu keterampilan proses sains. Berdasarkan uji terbatas yang dilakukan pada 15 siswa di kelas XI MIA 1 SMAN 1 Bangsal dapat diketahui bahwa alat peraga yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dari aspek keefektifan.  Aspek kepraktisan didapatkan dari angket repon yang diisi oleh 15 siswa yang menjadi subjek penelitian dan keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran, dalam penelitian ini yaitu 15 siswa SMAN 1 Bangsal, Mojokerto. Dari angket respon tersebut diketahui bahwa respon siswa terhadap alat peraga yang dikembangan sangat positif dan keterlaksananaan pembelajaran sangat baik sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa alat peraga yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dari aspek kepraktisan.   Kata Kunci : Alat Peraga Venturimeter, kelayakan alat peraga, Keterampilan proses sains.   Abstract The aim of this research isproduce venturimeter props to train science process skills on dynamic fluid skill that feasible (valid, practice dan effective). The research method is ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, andEvaluation). The venturimeter props was reviewed by two experts from physics lecturer of Unesa, then validated by two physics lecturers of Unesa and one physics teacher of SMAN 1 Bangsal, Mojokerto. Based on the validation result, the venturimeterprops is feasible for use from the aspect of validity. To know the feasibility of the effectiveness aspect was done limited trial to 15 students in class XI MIA 1 SMAN 1 Bangsal. Effectiveness aspect consist of learning outcomes of knowledge aspect and skill aspect, which is science process skill.Based on a limited test conducted on 15 students in class XI MIA 1 SMAN 1 Bangsal,  can be seen that the props that was developed feasible to be used from the aspect of effectiveness. Practicality aspects was obtained from  questionnaire response that was filled by 15 studentswho became the research subject and the implementation of learning, int this research was 15 students of SMAN 1 Bangsal, Mojokerto.From the questionnaire response is known that the students response is very positive, so that it can be stated that venturimeterpropsis worthy to use from the aspect of practicality.   Keywords :Venturimeter props, feasibility of props, science process skill

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan tes literasi sains pada materi kalor yang layak secara teoritis dan empiris. Kelayakan teoritis tes literasi sains meliputi validitas logis pada ranah materi, konstruksi, dan bahasa yang divalidasi oleh dua dosen fisika dan satu guru fisika. Kelayakan empiris ditinjau dari validitas empiris butir soal, reliabilitas tes, tingkat kesukaran butir soal, dan daya pembeda butir soal berdasarkan uji coba di lapangan. Pengembangan tes literasi sains mengacu pada model pengembangan Researc and Development (R&D). Tahap pertama yang dilakukan adalah analisis potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data awal, desain produk, validasi secara logis, dan revisi hingga didapatkan draf final yang siap untuk diujicobakan. Tes literasi sains diujicobakan kepada 30 siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya yang sudah mendapatkan materi kalor. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa tes literasi sains dinyatakan layak secara teoritis berdasarkan validitas logis pada ranah materi, konstruksi dan bahasa dalam kategori sangat layak. Tes literasi sains layak secara empiris berdasarkan analisis validitas empiris butir soal, reliabilitas tes, tingkat kesukaran butir soal dan daya pembeda butir soal. Berdasarkan kriteria pada kelayakan empiris, maka sebanyak 54% dari keseluruhan soal dinyatakan layak. Dari soal yang telah layak dapat diketahui profil kemampuan literasi sains siswa yang menjadi sujek uji coba, yaitu sebanyak 27% siswa dengan kategori sangat kurang, 23% siswa dengan kategori kurang, 20% siswa dengan kategori cukup, 20% siswa dengan kategori baik, dan 10% siswa dengan kategori sangat baik. Kata Kunci: tes literasi sains, kelayakan teoritis, kelayakan empiris.   Abstract This study aims  to develop a test of scientific literacy on heat chapter with theoretical and empirical feasible. The theoretical feasibility of a scientific literacy test includes logical validity in the realm of matrials, construction, and language validated two lecturers of physics and a physics theacher. Empirical feasibility in terms of the empirical validity of the item, the reliability of the test, the difficulty level of the item, and the distinguished power of the item based on field trials. Developing of scientific literacy test based on developing model of Researc and Development (R&D). The first stage is the analysis of potentials and problems, initial data collection, product design, logical validation, and revisions until a final draft is ready for trial. Scientific literacy test is tested to 30 students of MIPA 11th class  in 5th Surabaya Senior High School who have received the material heat. The results show that the scientific literacy test revealed worthy theoretically based on logical validity in the realm of material, construction and language in the category of highly feasible. The scientific literacy test revealed worthy empirically based on empirical validity analysis of the item, the reliability of the test, the difficulty level of the item and the distinguished power of the item. Based on the criteria on empirical feasibility, then as much as 54% of questions declared feasible. From the question that has been feasible can know the ability of science of students who becomes sujek trial, was 27% of students with very poor category, 23% of students with less category, 20% enough students, 20% of students with good category, and 10% of students with very good category. Abstract

This study is intended to describe the development of a digital book based on contextual learning as a media for learning high school students. The results of school identification showed that students had difficulties in physics because it was considered a material contain full of formulas and difficult to understand the concept. This was indicated by the results of Physics teacher’s interviews at SMAN 2 Pare who want to learn based on real-life phenomena. As a solution to the problem, the researcher developed a digital book based on contextual learning. The results of the development are observed from three aspects of feasibility, they are the validity, practicability, and effectiveness of learning media. This project was used R&D method, consist of literature study, field study, product development, validation, revision, trial, analysis, and media product. This study was tested with a sample of 34 students of class X IIS 3 in SMAN 2 Pare. Media validation results showed that this medium is valid with a value of 82.03%. Practicability is reviewed through the implementation and constraints of 90.60%. Effectiveness is reviewed from students learning outcomes of 82.35% and the response of learners showed a very good media response that is equal to 81.62%. So it can be concluded that digital book media based on contextual learning can be used as a medium for students of senior high school.   Keywords: Digital Book, Contextual Learning, Momentum and Impulse, Learning Media.
