Focus and Scope Peurawi: Journal of Islamic Communication Studies aims to provide an academic forum for publications based on Islamic communication. Peurawi is based on values derived from Islamic principles, such as ethics, universality, inclusiveness, and humanity, which serve as a reference in the development of communication studies. The Peurawi Journal seeks collaboration with international researchers through publications covering diverse communication methods and fields, including media studies, journalism, public relations, digital communication, organizational communication, and other related subfields within the scope of communication science. This journal recognizes the increasing relevance of communication research in addressing social, cultural, and global issues, and gives priority to works that demonstrate theoretical contributions and practical significance. Articles with a comparative, critical, or international orientation are highly welcome, as they provide alternative perspectives and broaden the scope of academic inquiry. By integrating Islamic communication values with advances in contemporary communication science, Peurawi serves as a medium for disseminating research that is rigorous in method, substantial in concept, and relevant to the pursuit of knowledge and social responsibility. Abstract

This article discusses the effectiveness of cybermedia as a means of modern da'wah communication, focusing on several issues, namely the general description of cybermedia, the meaning of dakwah and the possibility of internet becoming the medium of da'wah and strategy and utilization of internet in da'wah in modern era. Through this article the authors argue that in this era of information technology, it should be Muslims in general and the preachers in particular take advantage of new media the Internet as a means of preaching to be more effective. Furthermore, by making cybermedia or internet as a medium of da'wah today, the real actors of da'wah have confirmed the pattern of modern dakwah.

Abstract

The leadership of Sultanah Sri Ratu Safiatuddin has given birth to new values related to the presence of women in the power of the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam. Through his policies, he has contributed greatly to a new perspective in the political history of Aceh. His collaborative policies have provided opportunities for everyone to be involved in the Aceh Darussalam government system regardless of background, especially gender. This paper attempts to unravel and analyze Ratu Safiatuddin's pattern of political communication regarding his policies that led to the trust of the Acehnese people at that time to be led. Among them include policies in the field of science and knowledge, strengthening the law, freedom of opinion, and gender equality. The results of this study show that through this policy the Queen can survive in a span of 35 years and even continues with three queens' leadership in the next period. Ratu has contributed new ideas for the fulfillment of the value of the existence of Islam and science.

Abstract

Apparatus Gampong is a social group that functions to help meet the needs of rural communities, given the obligations and rights that have been determined by the Indonesian state. In realizing the welfare of the community, the gampong is a subsystem of government administration. There are various needs of the community that must be met by the gampong, to avoid this interaction conflict, the gampong requires a communication system to maintain a harmonious and structured interaction. Therefore, this study aims to determine the communication management needed by the gampong apparatus in community service and the application of communication management of the gampong apparatus in community service in Samatiga District, West Aceh Regency. The research approach uses qualitative descriptive analytical methods to examine social phenomena on research subjects, namely Keuchik and the Gampong, Tuha Peut, the people in Kuala Bubon Village, Paya Lumpat Village, and Pange Village, as well as the Samatiga Subdistrict Head in Samatiga District. Sources of data obtained through observation, and interviews. The results of the study indicate that communication management facilitates the gampong apparatus in implementing community service activities with a systematic and structured communication flow. The implementation of communication management is carried out by the gampong apparatus with the stages of planning for service activities needed by the community, then determining the implementation of activities, distributing policies for community service activities, and controlling community service activities so that communication flow is maintained in accordance with the service program design that has been formed.

Abstract

Students in the high school equivalency program have their own uniqueness including: age, marital status, and socioeconomic status. They have experienced dropout and have not carried out learning activities for a long time. During the COVID 19 pandemic, most of the learning process takes place online, which is not easy for them. The research entitled "Instructional Communication in the High School Equivalency Program" intends to find out how the instructional communication model between tutors and students of the high school equivalency program in PKBM Patrakomala Bandung. The purpose was to analyze the interaction between tutors and students, the application of learning methods, the use of media, and the obstacles faced in the instructional communication process. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. This study also uses constructivism theory from Jesse Delia. The results show that offline interactions are transactional, while online interactions are interactional. The learning methods used are: independent learning methods, assignments, lectures, and questions and answers. Tutors have full authority to determine the learning method to be used. The media used are seTARA Daring and WhatsApp groups. The obstacles encountered come from personal and situational variables of the students.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Rule Model of Quranic Communication Psychology is a process of the integrity of IESQ Qur'ani intelligence in the formation of Nafsul-Muthmāinnah towards someone so that Islamic communication is realized. This study uses a qualitative method approach, with discourse analysis techniques and text interpretation. This method analyzes the process of a meaning contained behind the information contained in the Koran. The verses that explain the existence of IESQ in Nafs are found in QS. Yusuf/12:53, QS. Al-Qiyamah/75:2, QS. Al-Fajr:27-28, QS. ar-Ra’d/13:28, QS. al-Jatsiyah/45:5 dan HR.Muslim. while the verses explaining the integration of the IESQ through the Quranic Communication Psychology process are contained in QS. an-Nisa/4:9, QS. al-Ahzab/33:32, QS. an-Nisa/4:63, QS. al-Isra’/17:23, QS. Thaha/20:43-44 dan QS. al-Isra’/17:28. The results of the analysis of these verses are that Nafs is a container for sharing information and knowledge that has the characteristics of Resentment, Despicable and Peaceful. 'Aqal is the potential of the soul that has the ability to process information so that it becomes knowledge. While the process of delivering messages or information by applying the principles of Quranic Communication Psychology.

Abstract

This paper discusses the concept of media in Islamic da'wah. Da'wah activity is essentially a process of normative change in accordance with Islamic teachings, namely the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Da'wah is the responsibility of every Muslim regardless of his profession to be able to convey Islamic religious messages to the community. When the da'i conveys the message of da'wah, of course, it must have effective means, so that the purpose of da'wah can be understood by the mad'u community well. One of the important elements for the success of da'wah is the media of da'wah. The concept of media in da'wah has been stated in the Qur'an. The propaganda media verses in the Qur'an also always require review and reinterpretation to gain new insights. In this paper, the author uses a library research method or approach. The results of this study are the understanding of da'wah media, types of media in da'wah, and analysis of QS Ibrahim verse 4 and QS Al-An'am verse 75. Da'wah media can also develop following the current developments

Abstract

This article discusses the programs and public relations activities of Humas Sekretariat Daerah Aceh in carrying out relations with the media that are related to one another. PR programs and activities undertaken to build a positive image of government. The conceptual used is Public Relations within Government agencies according to Cutlip & Center. The method used in this paper is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that the efforts made by PR with the media through various formal and informal programs such as coffee morning, press releases, press conferences, hospitality with media leaders and so forth. Thus the relationship that exists between PR and the media can run well so that it can facilitate the Public Relations in publishing news about the Aceh government.

Abstract

The Nahdlatul Ulama Student Association or IPNU is an organization that accommodates students under the auspices of Nahdlatul Ulma to form youth in accordance with the Islamic faith. During the COVID-19 pandemic, all human activities changed, including the organizational activities of IPNU South Jakarta. The health protocols required by the government are different from those that were used before the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze how the organizational communication process occurred at IPNU South Jakarta after the COVID-19 pandemic. The research theory is organization communication. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with interview data collection and literature study. The results showed that there were significant changes in the IPNU South Jakarta organization after the covid-19 pandemic. Communication is carried out online, the use of social media is maximized, soft skills development is carried out online, and visits to outside the region are temporarily suspended. These changes can be handled properly because of good communication management at IPNU South Jakarta so that the planned work program can run optimally.

Abstract

This study entitled "The Communication Behavior of Tantan Media Social Users in Establishing Friendship (A Case Study on the Students of Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh).” This study aims to understand the interaction, action, and the relationship of the users in developing friendship. This study used qualitative descriptive method with a structured interview for the data collection. The theory used in this research is the mediamorphosis theory. The interviewees were chosen using purposive sampling method, and the data were analyzed using model data analysis Miles and Huberman. The research results obtained that communication behavior of the users in developing friendship was through the interviewees interaction with other users; the interviewees focus on chatting with many users in order to get more friends. The interviewees‟ relationship in Tantan social media with the chatting partners were only developed until friendship stage, and did not continue to be lovers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the involvement and role of ulama in preventing early-age marriage in West Nusa Tenggara. The government has implemented a limitation on the age of marriage, but for the people of West Nusa Tenggara, it requires the role of Ulama in socializing and convincing the public to do this. This rule needs to be seen from the side of the social welfare of the community. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the type of library research. Data collection techniques using the literature review through various references related to research. The results of the research through a literature review are looking at government programs such as those related to early-age marriage, then the stakeholders involved are not enough from government agencies only. It’s also important the involvement and role of ulama as role models for the community in suppressing cases of early-age marriage through da'wah communication activities and forming special guidance and assistance programs for parents and adolescents regarding the negative impacts on early-age marriage.
