Abstract

ABSTRACTSpecial educator teacher was the one who gave assistance and service toward special need learners experiencingbarriers in inclusion elementary school. This research purpose was to describe special educator teacher’s role inimplementing the activities of identification, assessment, program arranging, program implementation, and programevaluation. The research method applied was descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection techniques wereobservation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was data reduction, data display, andconclusion drawing / verification.The research result was special educator teacher doing the activities of identificationand assessment in early learning activity, program arranging in the form of individual learning program, programimplementation and evaluation. This research conclusion was special educator teacher had implemented special needprogram involving the activities of assessment, program arranging, program implementation, and evaluation had runwell.Keywords: Special educator teacher’s role, special need program, inclusion school

Abstract

Abstract   Beginning reading ability was one of the basic aspects in reading which had to be mastered by every child. Beginning reading ability to the difficulty learning children could be developed using interactive multimedia. An interactive multimedia was learning media which could stimulate the user to be active through the sense organs by involving optimally the children’s ability about the material in reading. The purpose of this research was to prove the influence of interactive multimedia toward beginning reading to difficulty learning children in SDN Banjaranyar II Kras Kediri. The subject of this research was difficulty learning children of class I numbering 6 children. This research used quantitative method with pre-experiment design arrangement and one group pre-test post-test design kind. The data was collected by test technique. The technique of data analysis used statistic non parametric with wilcoxon match pair test. The research result indicated that there was influence of interactive multimedia toward beginning reading to difficulty learning children in low class. It was seen from the research result which indicated that zh = 2,20 > zt = 1,96 which meant that “there was significant influence of interactive multimedia toward beginning reading to difficulty learning children in low class”.    Keywords: Beginning reading, interactive multimedia

Abstract

Abstract This research of the influence of Modification Bandaran traditional game toward recognizing numbers ability to mild mentally retardation children in SLB Harmoni Sidoarjo was formed the background by cognitive ability of mild mentally retardation children that was recognizing numbers i.e. mentioning and writing number 1 – 10 so that the researcher gave fun activity which could facilitate the mentally retardation children to learn understanding numbers through modification Bandaran traditional game. The mathematics learning activity of recognizing numbers by using modification Bandaran traditional game had never been applied yet in SLB Harmoni Sidoarjo. This research purpose was to prove whether there was influence of modification Bandaran traditional game toward recognizing numbers to mild mentally retardation children in SLB Harmoni Sidoarjo or not. The samples in this research were 7 children whose recognizing numbers ability still needed to be developed. This research used quantitative approach and the data collection used test and observation. The data collection technique used statistic non parametric with wilcoxon match pairs test. The research result indicated that there was enhancement of recognizing numbers ability in SLB Harmoni Sidoarjo with the early observation result to mentally retardation was 37,5 to be 71 in the last observation to mentally retardation. The research result also indicated that T counted = 0 was smaller than T table = 0,02 with 5% signification level. If T counted = 0 < T table = 0,02 so it could be concluded that there was influence of modification Bandaran traditional game toward recognizing numbers ability to mentally retardation children in SLB Harmoni Sidoarjo.   Keywords: modification Bandaran,  recognizing numbers

Abstract

Abstract: Parents’ caretaking pattern was the parents’ effort to maintain and guide the children consistently and persistently since born to teenager. This research had purpose to know the existence of relationship between parents’ caretaking pattern and self guide ability of autism children. The subject of this research was the autism children in 5 – 8 years old in four therapy institutions Sidoarjo those were the therapy institution of Putra Harapan, Quantum, Cita Hati, and Esya. The technique of data analysis used was statistic non parametric with n = 12 and α = 5% and it was analyzed with Spearman Rank formula. The result of research data analysis to authorizer caretaking pattern was obtained ρ = - 0,0603, permissive caretaking pattern was obtained ρ = - 0,4012 and authoritative caretaking pattern was ρ =  0,4615. All of them were smaller than ρ table either in significant level 5% = 0,591 or 1% = 0,777. The interpretation was ρ counted < ρ table which meant that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted. The research data analysis indicated that the correlation between variable X (caretaking pattern: authorizer, permissive, and authoritative) and variable Y (self guide ability) was in high category and there was real / significant relationship between parents’ caretaking pattern and self guide ability of autism children in the family in therapy institution Sidoarjo.   Keywords: Parents’ caretaking pattern, self guide of autism

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the observation result which had been done in SDN Sidowareg I Plemahan Kediri there were several children with learning reading difficulty who had obstacle in beginning reading involving reading alphabets, and simple words. Therefore, to enhance the beginning reading ability of children with learning difficulty it was given the application of glass analysis method with picturing card and alphabet card media. This research had purpose to prove whether there was influence of using glass analysis method toward beginning reading ability of children with learning reading difficulty in SDN Sidowareg I Plemahan Kediri or not. The approach used in this research was quantitative approach. The kind of this research was pre experiment. The design used was: the one group pretest and posttest. For data analysis this research used the analysis technique of statistic non parametric. The research result after giving pretest was that the average value of children with difficulty learning was 55,4 and they were given treatment 10 times with the allocation time, 60 minutes for each meeting. Then after giving posttest indicated that the children’s value enhancement happened with the average value 60,88. From the value above, it was then analyzed using sign test value (ZH) with Z table 5% one side test 1,96. The Z value obtained in counting was ZH = 2,20 so that it could be concluded that “there was significant influence to beginning reading ability of children with learning reading difficulty” with ZH value = 2,20 > Z table 5% 1,96 so Ho was refused and Ha was accepted.   Keywords: Glass analysis, beginning reading

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Prevalence is the number of a problem measured by using identification instrument and assessment to determine the sum and its percentage. The main problem of this research is children difficulty in counting. Difficult counting is the disability in doing arithmetic skill expected for intellectual and student education level given through individual test. Mathematic assessment test based curriculum is used to identify children who get problem in difficult counting at SDN Jabon 1 Jombang. Assessment is a process to collect information about a child used as consideration and judgment. The objective of this research is to identify children prevalence in counting problem at SDN Jabon 1 Jombang. Descriptive quantitative is used in this methodology research. Kind of this research uses survey research as design research. The technique of collecting data uses test, observation (checklist) and documentation. For research data analysis, the researcher uses simple formulation statistic percentage.  The result of this research indicates that students who get counting problem at SDN Jabon 1 Jombang from first class up to fourth class is 16 students (24%) 10 male students (15%) 6 female students (9%).   Keywords: Prevalence, assessment test.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research problem is if there is an improvement of the learning activity by using compic for the hyperactive children with autism at second grade of Dharma Wanita School for special needs children Ujungpangkah Gresik. This research uses experimental research by using Single Subject Research. Based on the result of visual analysis in the baseline phase, it shows the unstable condition, while in the intervention phase shows the stable changes. The visual analysis between conditions in the baseline phase to intervention phase is decresing or getting better which shows that the change is positive. Therefore, it can be concluded that compic (computerized pictograph) affects the learning activities of the hyperactive children with autism positively.   Keywords : compic media, hyperactive behavior

Abstract

Abstract Self learning ability was very important to be possessed by the hearing impairment students. By self learning ability possessed by the students, it facilitated them in studying in inclusion class, the students would be able to learn actively, and not to be easy giving up in completing the task based on their own willing so that they would not depend on other people, and as the students’ provision in implementing the education forever. This research purpose was to describe (1) the students’ activeness in learning, (2) the students’ persistent in learning, (3) the students’ directedness, and (4) the students’ motive in learning. This research method was descriptive qualitative. The data was collected using the technique of observation non participant, interview, and questionnaire. The technique of observation non participant was used to obtain the data about the hearing impairment students’ activities in learning. The interview technique was used to obtain the data from the informant’s opinion i.e. class teachers about hearing impairment students during learning in the class. The questionnaire was used to obtain the data directly from the subject i.e. hearing impairment students about their activities during learning in the class. The research result indicated that two of three subjects of hearing impairment students had possessed self learning ability in either academic subject or practice. Both hearing impairment students had possessed learning activeness, they both actively asked when they had difficulty understanding the material and they also tried to participate in completing the group task or group discussion. Both subjects had also possessed persistent learning, it was seen when both subjects were given difficult enough task by the teacher they always tried to finish the task given autonomously suitable with their ability. For the learning directedness too, the students had been able to focus and determine the material which should be understood first. For the motive learning it indicated that the students had possessed motivation from themselves to learn without depending on the people around.   Keywords: ability, self learning

Abstract

  Abstract Based on the observation result in SLB-A YPAB Tegalsari Surabaya, the blind children of class I had hindrance in beginning reading Braille including recognizing alphabets, vocabulary, and Braille words. To enhance the ability in beginning reading it was given the application of Braille flashcard media. This research had purpose to analyze whether there was influence of using flashcard media in blind children’s learning in SLB-A YPAB Tegalsari Surabaya or not. The approach used in this research was quantitative approach. The kind of research used was pre experiment. The design used was: the one group pretest and posttest. For the data analysis this research used the analysis technique of statistic non parametric. The research result after giving pretest was that the average value of blind children was 34 and then it was given intervention 6 times with ± 60 minutes of time allocation for each meeting. Then it was given posttest and the result indicated that the change happened, the children’s value was better with the average value 82,5. From the value above it was then analyzed using sign test formula (ZH) with Z table 5% of one side test 1,96. The Z value obtained in counting was ZH = 2,05 so that it could be concluded that “there was significant influence to beginning reading ability of blind children” with ZH value = 2,05 > Z table 5% 1,96. Abstract

  Abstract: Gross motor development associated with the child’s development which motor abilities often associated with the exercise that aims to develop aspects of physical fitness, motor skills, critical thoughts, social, reasoning, emotion, moral value as well as healthy life that is tailored to the child’s characteristics. The purpose of this study relates to exercise gross motoric skills in children with autism through learning “senam fantasi”, because “senam fantasi” can be fun activity for children with autism in accordance with their characteristic, where children can perform the spontaneously beautiful movements, express theirself while listening or feeling a certain rhythm. This study uses a quantitative approach with the design the one group pretest posttest design. The Samples are autistic children in SDN Tebel Gedangan. This research was conducted in 12 meetings. Data collection technique used tests and observation. Data analysis by using test Wilcaxon. The results showed that the senam fantasi significantly affects gross motoric skills in children with autism in SDN Tebel Gedangan. It is based on the results of the study before it is applied senam fantasi gained an average of 42.85, and after senam fantasi was implemented, it obtained an average of Thitung = 0 lebih kecil dari Ttabel = 2 with 5% significance level with N=7 is 2, means Thitung = 0 < Ttabel =2. Based on these results, it is proved that senam fantasi affect gross motoric skills in children with autism in SDN Inklusi Tebel Gedangan Keywords: Autism, senam fantasi, gross motor
