Abstract

ABSTRACT The research purpose was to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning, and the problem and solution in implementing learning English to special need learners based curriculum 2013 in SMP Negeri 2 Candi. This research used descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection technique was through interview, observation, and documentation. The test of data validation used triangulation. The data was analyzed through reduction data, display data, and conclusion drawing / verification. The research result indicated that 1) in planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning English to special need learners there were process and evaluation adjustment in the form of re-conveying material and adjustment in giving assignment suitable with the ability of special need learners, 2) the problem faced involved RPP arrangement in which required adjustment in basic competence, indicator, and learning material; the application of scientific approach where the obstruction belonged caused the special need learners could not follow the process well; 3) the solution done was by engaging the teachers in workshop/ training about inclusive education, and there was accompaniment by special assistant teacher who was scheduled well in learning process of special need learners   Keywords: Learning English, Curriculum 2013, Special Need Learners, Inclusive School

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Hearing impairment children had difficulty in one of the language skill aspects i.e. reading comprehension which was resulted by the hearing impairment so it had impact to the language development. Reading comprehension ability had very important position because reading comprehension was the media to enlarge knowledge and add perception in enhancing intelligence. Hearing disorder experienced by the hearing impairment children could delay learning progress in the meaning of understanding the reading content. Based on the explanation above, this research had purpose to know the influence of DRTA strategy application toward reading comprehension ability to hearing impairment students of class VIII in SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya. The kind of research used was pre experiment using “the one group pre-test post-test design”. The subject in this research was hearing impairment students of class VIII in SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya numbering 6 students who had difficulty in reading comprehension. The data collection technique was collected by using test and observation. The intervention implication was done in 6 times meeting with the time allocation 3 x 40 minutes each meeting. The data analysis technique used statistic non parametric of wilcoxon match pair test. The data analysis result of Z value obtained from counting was 2,20 greater than Z table to critic value = 5% i.e. 1,96 so null hypothesis (Ho) was refused and work hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The research conclusion was that there was significant influence of DRTA (Directed Reading Thinking Activity) strategy application toward reading comprehension ability to hearing impairment students of class VIII in SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya.   .   Keywords: Learning Strategy, reading comprehension.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The confident of hearing impairment children was to be able to do something suitable with their own ability, able to always be optimist by thinking positively and solve every problem without hesitant toward themselves. Communication ability was the children’s ability in interacting with the teacher and discussed with their peers. Based on the result of observation and interview with the teacher of class V in SDLB-B Karya Mulia II about self-confident, there was indication that hearing impairment children was less active in communicating so that they tended to give in more to their active friends during the learning process was running. It described that the children’s communication ability was not maximum yet. Hearing impairment children were those who had damage in hearing sense so it caused lack of lost of hearing either a part or whole.  This research had purpose to observe whether there was relationship of self confident with communication ability of hearing impairment children of class V in SDLB-B Karya Mulia II Surabaya or not. This research used quantitative approach with non-experiment kind using correlation arrangement with 10 students. The data analysis in this research was statistic non parametric using correlation formula of Spearman Rank.  The results of data analysis indicated rho counted = 0,71 > rho table = 0,648 to significant level 5%. It proved that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted. Based on the explanation above it could concluded that there was significant relationship self confident with communication ability of hearing impairment children of class V in SDLB-B Karya Mulia II Surabaya.   Keywords: Self confident, communication ability.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Child of Mentally Disabled is children that has mind limitation, weaken responsiveness or often recognized with mental limitation. Education Management for child of Mentally Disabled  can be conducted pass by study of sport physical education and health were as the development effort motoric student pass by bodily education program adaptive (accommodated). Games volleyball is one of existing sport branch in physical education curriculum in school and has been taught in school begin at elementary school level till college. Optimizing child ability of Mentally Disabled in conducted service movement under volleyball is must designed particularly passed by study penjas (physical education) adaptive that either in strategy or study model, and study modification matching with student condition. Research Target this is the: for describe result improvement learnt physical education and health of service matter under passed by game volleyball modification. Research Target this is the student light Mentally Disabled class V elementary school Klampis Ngasem I Surabaya that amount to 16 Childs. Method in this research use method of class action research (PTK) where study is conducted 2 cycles, where every cycle conducted 2 times meetings. Processes of data intake are conducted with observation when study takes place that is: observation of teacher activity and student, and ability motoric child in conducting service under game volleyball. Research Result: service ability under student at cycle I meeting I value as high as 45,1 with successfulness percentage as high as 0% and at meeting II value as high as 53,3 with percentage to successfulness  as high as 12,5%. Result of teacher activity observation meeting I as high as 57,5% and meeting II as high as 65%. Result of meeting student activity I as high as 50,31% and meeting II as high as 63,44%. Research Result at cycle 2 show service ability under student at meeting I getting the value as high as 63,1 with successfulness percentage as high as 62,5% and meeting II value as high as 75,1 with successfulness percentage as high as 87,5%. Result of teacher activity observation meeting I as high as 70% and meeting II as high as 90%. Result of meeting student activity I as high as 67,50% and meeting II as high as 84,06  expressed succeed, with successfulness of level student become 87,5% with success student amount 14 students and have not yet succeeded 2 students. As a whole study result from study early cycle 1 and cycle 2 experience of significant improvement, that means student experiences of ability improvement motoric in conducting service movement under at game volleyball modified. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe communication and language obstacles experienced by the autism children was scrutinizing skill such as not responding to the question, having difficulty in following the oral instruction, understanding symbol language, imitating sentence or song, less understanding language, and appearing misunderstanding the word meaning.Based on the obstacle above, the research about “could scrutinizing skill be influenced by using audio media of animal story to autism children of class I in SLB Harmoni Gedangan Sidoarjo?” would be done. This research purpose was to test the influence of using audio media of animal story toward scrutinizing skill to autism children of class I in SLB Harmoni Gedangan Sidoarjo.This research used quantitative approach and pre experiment kind with “One Group Pretest-Posttest Design”. The data collection method used test to collect the data of scrutinizing skill result before and after giving intervention and the data analysis technique used statistic non parametric of sign test. The result of data analysis indicated Zh = 2,05 > Z table = 1,96 to significant level 5% (two sides test) so it could be concluded that there was significant influence of audio media of animal story toward scrutinizing skill to autism children of class I in SLB Harmoni Gedangan Sidoarjo.Keywords: Audio media of animal story, scrutinizing skill, autism children

Abstract

ABSTRACTColor corrugated paper (Kokoru) skill was used to enhance the fine motoric skill of hypoactive autism children. The purpose of this research was to obtain the actual description of fine motoric ability of hypoactive autism children before and after giving intervention using color corrugated paper (Kokoru) skill. This research was implemented in PAUD inclusion Tunas Bangsa Blitar with 6 people as the subject and the time used in this research was 10 times meeting with 8 times intervention. The research design used was one group pre test post test design. The data collection method used was intervention and documentation. The data analysis was statistic non parametric using wilcoxon match pair test formula. The research result indicated Z counted 2.20 whereas the value of Z table in 5% significant for two sides examination (Zt = 1,96) so that Ho was refused (2.20 > 1,96). Based on the explanation it could be concluded that there was significant influence of color corrugated paper (Kokoru) skill toward fine motoric of hypoactive autism children. Abstract

ABSTRACT Student with autism spectrum disorder is a group of complex disorder, these disorder are characterized by difficulties in social interaction and behavior. This behavior recognize of the gross motor skills. For the student with autism spectrum disorder, the coordination of gross motor skill it can’t balance. One way to increase the gross motor skill for student with autism spectrum disorder there is juggling ball activity. This research is a pre experiment quantitative research by using pre-test and post test group design. Test is used to collect the data of gross motor skill before and after the Student with autism spectrum disorder are given the action. The action is given in 10 meeting. Each meeting consists of 2 x 35 minutes. The learning material given are juggling ball activity. The data analysis techniques are non parametric analysis and sign test. Results of data analysis using the formula sign test on the effect of implementation juggling ball activity of students with autism spectrum disorder are Ztabel Zh = 2.05 and = 1.96 at 5% significance level. It is proved that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. So it can be conclude that “There is a significant effect of the effect of implementation juggling ball activity of students with autismspectrum disorder of SLB Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo”. Abstract

HUBUNGAN SELF-REGULATED LEARNING DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR PENDIDIKAN JASMANI ADAPTIF SISWA TUNADAKSA Bayu Widya Martha dan Endang Pudjiastuti Sartinah Jurusan Pendidikan Luar Biasa, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, bayuwidya@ymail.com Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of self-regulated learning with learning outcomes of adapted physical education of students with physical disabilities of YPAC Surabaya. Students with physical disabilities as students with motor constraints require services to optimize their motor ability. In formal education, adapted physical education is one that stimulates motor of students with physical disabilities. As a learning process, there are various factors that affect the outcome. One of the factors that affect the learning outcomes is self-regulated learning. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. The subjects of the study consisted of students with physical disabilities without barriers in thinking in SDLB-D, SMPLB, and SMALB YPAC Surabaya totaling 17 students. The technique of collecting data using interviews, observations, and tests. Processing data using Spearman Rank and analysis of data using Linear Regression Analysis. The results showed r = 0.120 and determination coefficient of self-regulated learning towards learning outcomes of adapted physical education at 0.0144 or 1.44%. Results of linear regression analysis showed the equation Y = 48 + 0,2X. Conclusion from this research is that self-regulated learning with learning outcomes of adapted physical education of students with physical disabilities of YPAC Surabaya has a very low level of relationship. Self-regulated learning determine learning outcomes of adapted physical education is only 1.44%. Keywords: self-regulated learning, adapted physical education

Abstract

ABSTRACTMid mentally retardation children were one of the special need children who had limitedness in doing daily activity in keeping self hygiene, one of them was enhancing self guide ability to mid mentally retardation children.This research purpose was to obtain the description of self guide ability of mid mentally retardation children who had undergone brushing teeth training in SLB Dharma Wanita Lebo Sidoarjo. This research was quantitative with pre-experiment i.e. one group pretest – posttest design, with six subjects of mid mentally retardation children. The data analysis used statistic non parametric with wilcoxon test.The research result indicated that there was enhancement of self guide ability through brushing teeth training to mid mentally retardation children in SLB Dharma Wanita Lebo Sidoarjo, it was suitable with the average value of pre-test i.e. 44,41 and the average value of post-test was 63,01. From the result of data analysis it could be concluded that the counting number of Z = 2,20. This number was then compared with critic value 5% Z table was 1,96. This proved that the value of Z counted > 1,96 which meant that Ha was accepted and Ho was refused. It meant brushing teeth training was effective in enhancing self guide ability to mid mentally retardation children in SLB Dharma Wanita Lebo Sidoarjo.Keywords: Self guide ability, brushing teeth, mid mentally retardation

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research was to observe whether there was influence of modeling technique application towardvocational skill to mild mentally retardation students of class XI in SMALB-C AKW Kumara II Surabaya or not.The low intelligence level of mild mentally retardation students resulted the lack of thinking power and lack ofcreativity in arranging a product, in addition they were also demanded to have vocational skill in order that they couldbe autonomous. Therefore, to solve the problem it required learning which trained vocational skill and surely by usingthe technique which was suitable with the mild mentally retardation students’ characteristics. One of the techniqueswhich could be used was modeling technique. The method used in this research was quantitative approach with preexperimental design arrangement and one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this research was 6 mildmentally retardation students of class XI in SMALB-C AKW II Surabaya. The data obtained from pretest and posttestwas analyzed by using the data analysis technique of statistic non parametric with quantitative data and using thesample less than 30 i.e. 6 students. The formula used to process the data was sign test. This research result indicated thatthe average pretest value was 56,08 while the average value obtained by the students in posttest was 94,11. The result ofdata analysis indicated Z counted was 2,05 and Z table with critic value 5% was 1,96. Through the analysis result itcould be concluded that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted, it meant that there was influence of modeling techniquetoward vocational skill to mild mentally retardation students in SMALB-C AKW Kumara II Surabaya.Keywords: Modeling technique, vocational skill
