Abstract

Abstract : Education for mentally retardation children in SMALB level was more emphasized to vocational skill which could be used as a provisions entering job fair. With the provisions of vocational skill it was hoped mentally retardation children obtained larger work opportunity after graduating from SMALB. However, that fact was not suitable with the expectation. Two mentally retardation children of 2014 graduation in state special school Gedangan did not get work opportunity and went back to school for only playing. The purposes of this research were to describe mentally retardation children’s work opportunity after graduating from SMALB with vocational skill provisions obtained from the school and to describe the parents’ role in helping mentally retardation children getting work opportunity after graduating from SMALB. This research used qualitative approach. The research kind used here was expose facto descriptive. The research result could be concluded that mentally retardation children who obtained the vocational skill provisions after graduating from school did not also obtain work opportunity in the society while mentally retardation children who obtained work opportunity after graduating from school had unsuitable job with the vocational skill they got from school. Mentally retardation children got vocational skill provisions in silk-screening domain but the work opportunity obtained was furniture domain, rubbing wood part. Mentally retardation children who had automotive background got work opportunity in the restaurant and mentally retardation children with the background of knitting vocational skill got work opportunity serving in the cooperation. The school did not give direction to the parents of mentally retardation children who had already graduated and the school did not have partners for cooperating in receiving the workers of mentally retardation children. The parents’ role in helping mentally retardation children did not run well yet. The parents’ role only gave food they did not help to give work yet to mentally retardation children who had already graduated. However, there was one parent who helped to market the work skill belonged to mentally retardation children and played role as the companion of mentally retardation children in working.     Keywords: Work opportunity, mentally retardation children, vocatinal skill, parents’ role

Abstract

Abstract: Deafness leads to inhibition of language skills, which include listening skills, speaking skills, reading skills, and writing skills. To develop these skills, deaf children need to understand how to master reading and speaking skills. The reading skill needs to be controlled by the deaf children because to add language and to understand long and related sentences. So this study aims to determine the effect of the Fonik method on reading skills of children with hearing impairment. This research uses quantitative approach, with pre-experiment design with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design type. The results of data analysis showed that, the use of Fonik method significantly influence the reading skills of children with hearing impairment grade I in SDLB-B Putera Asih Kediri.   Keywords: Phonic Method, Reading, Child Deaf.

Abstract

Abstrack : The ability of recognizing and forming perception of concrete form of plantation morphology to blind children was a difficult thing if the educator did not use a learning media. The usage of herbarium learning media for blind students needed to be done to enhance the learning result of blind students. In this research, herbarium learning media used for blind students was to recognize the plantation morphology. The plantation morphology recognized involved root, stem, leaf, and flower. The application of herbarium learning media in this research based on the scientific so the learning implementation did not take off the activities of observing, asking, trying, reasoning, and communicating. This research method was quantitative kind and the data was collected by pre-test and post-test. The pre-test and post-test were used to obtain the data of recognizing plantation morphology ability to blind students before and after giving the application of learning media. The research result was obtained from the results of pre-test and post-test. It was obtained the pre-test result was 50,83 and the post-test result was 84,17. In this way, it could be concluded that Z counted = 2,28 was compared to the critic value 5% Z table = 1,96. The result indicated that Z counted was greater than Z table (Zh > Zt) meaning Ho was refused and Ha was accepted so it could be stated that there was significant influence of herbarium learning media application based scientific toward recognizing plantation morphology ability to the blind students of class IV in SDLB-A YPAB Surabaya.     Keywords: Herbarium learning media, scientific, plantation morphology.

Abstract

Abstract:  Geometry is a branch of mathematics that are important to be studied by all students. Because by studying geoemetri to stimulate students to think critically and logically. Children with autism have a bottleneck in the cognitive because the barriers found in the hippocampus area that caused the student with autism is difficult to accept and store the new information so the effect on the autistic student learning outcomes. It is evident from the observations made in SLB Harapan Mulya Driyorejo, 6 students with autism get a low learning outcomes in recognizing geometric shapes. Accordingly, because it required a learning method that suits the character and abilities of children with autism, one through playing twister modification. This study aims to examine effect of play twister modifications to the learning outcomes of students with autism recognize geometric shapes in SLB Harapan Mulya Driyorejo Gresik. The research approach used is the quantitative approach. This type of research is pre-experimental research. The study design used is the one group pretest posttest. To use a non-parametric data analysis. The results showed that there are influences that occur in students with autism in recognizing geometric shapes through playing twister modification. Evidenced by the difference between pretest and posttest value is 60.41. Based on these values and then analyzed the data using Wilcoxon test with a standard error of 5% so Ztabel = 1.96. Z value is obtained within ZH = 2.21. It can be concluded that playing twister modification positive effect on the learning outcomes of students with autism recognize geometric shapes with ZH = 2.21 a value greater than the value Ztabel 5% = 1.96.   Keywords: twister modification, geometric shapes

Abstract

  ABSTRACT: Impact of hearing impaired children in language development. The inhibition of language development has an impact on the development of intelligence, social and emotional, and personality. Because of such complex impacts, it is necessary to develop language skills. Therefore, in this study examines the contextual learning model on the ability to write students deaf in SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya.  The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of contextual learning model on the ability to write personal experiences of Deaf students at SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya. This research method uses quantitative approach and Pre Experiment research type, using research design of The One Group Pre-test Post-test Design to obtain data of writing ability before and after given treatment. Abstract

ABSTRACT: One of the problems in the cognitive field of autistic children is a mathematical ability that includes numeracy materials.  Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach is a math learning alternatives that will facilitate children in learning mathematics by using concrete objects or will make a real and meaningful learning. The developed aspect is the ability to count and addition of 1 to 20 deductions. The research method is by using quantitative research approach to the type of pre-experimental study, and the study design of one-group pretest-posttest. Subjects in this study were 6 children with autism in SDN Klampis Ngasem 1 Surabaya. This study aims to determine the effect of Realistics  Mathematics Education (RME) approach to the numeracy skills of children with autism in SDN Klampis Ngasem 1 Surabaya. Data collection techniques are in the form of observation, test and documentation. Whereas statistical data analysis techniques used non-parametric Wilcoxon test. The results showed the initial test / pre-test average obtained 46.65 and the final test / post-test average is 80. This indicates that there is a significant increase. Zh value = 2.20 is greater than 5% value crisis Zt = +1.96 which means that Ho is refused and Ha is received so that, it can be said as the influence of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME)approach to the numeracy skills of children with autism in SDN KlampisNgasem 1 Surabaya.   Keywords:  Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, Numeracy Skill.

Abstract

ABSTRACT:Inclusive education is defined as the incorporation of special education and regular education within a unified education system. Through inclusive education of students with special needs can be socialized and integrated with other learners peers in regular schools. Then in order to obtain the success of inclusive educational goals required a good management system and organized. The purpose of this study was to describe the management of inclusive education in SMKN 8 Surabaya. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques obtained through interview, observation and documentation. In the data analysis techniques used include condensation steps, data presentation, and conclusion and verification. The conclusion of this study were: 1) the management of learners in receipt of learners with special needs in all types of disabilities but still consider his ability as well as the identification and assessment to determine the initial ability of learners with special needs, 2) management of curriculum on inclusive education using the Curriculum 2013 modified, 3) management of teachers and do not have to have any special requirements in dealing with learners with special needs, 4) management classes and learning to use the form of regular classes full and pull out on certain days only, 5) management of facilities and infrastructure has not yet held a study related to the procurement of equipment and media for learners with special needs, 6) management of funding coming from the government, parents and the community, 7) management of community relations with the school established by the stakeholders who participated.   Keywords: management, inclusive education, learners with special needs

Abstract

  ABSTRACT : The purpose of this study was to describe the management of inclusive education in SMPN 4 Sidoarjo which includes: management of learners, currculum management, learning process management, management of educators and management of facilities. This qualitative research using descriptive qualitative. In conclusion, the management of inclusive education in SMPN 4 Sidoarjo includes, 1) student management begins with the existence of new student acceptance planning through activity analysis of requirement of earners. Implementation of acceptance of students with special needs through the inclusion path that is carried out by referring to the mechanism and registration requirements contained in the guidelines for the implementation of student enrollments Sidoarjo. 2) curriculum management related to the development of using curriculum 2013 modified in accordance with the ability and condition of learners. 3) management of learning process in inclusive class begins with learning plan that is analysing the cometence based, indicators, lesson plan by modifying the concepts. Stucturally the learning exercises are implemented as stated in the lesson plan by modifying the concepts and evaluation for students with special needs include 3 aspect of evaluation that is, attitude, knowledge and skills to the ability of learners. 4) management of educators associated with the planning of spesialized educators begins with a record of the needs of teachers for students with special needs. Then the school held a recruitment and selection teacher assistant. 5) management of facilities negins with analysis needs of facilities needed by buyying. In general the availability of facilities in inclusive school is sufficient with the resource center, therapy room, special learning media and learning aids.   Keywords: Management, Inclusive Education.
