Abstract

ABSTRACT: Children with autism experience obstacles in behavior, one of which is the behavior of self-simulation, this behavior can disrupt the people around him. The purpose of this study is to prove whether the behavior of self-stimulation in children with autism can be reduced by playing tumble tower (jenga) modification. This type of research is a single subject research (SSR) with A-B-A design. Data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. Data analysis technique used is visual analysis in condition and visual analysis between condition. The results showed that the activity of tumble tower (jenga) play modification can reduce the behavior of self-stimulation (holding friend’s hair) in children with autism that was done 3-13 times with total duration 36-139 then reduced to 0-1 times with duration 5-16 Seconds. Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this descriptive study, looking at the implementation of interactional communication model by autistic children in inclusive schools shows the difference of autistic children ability in communicating both in conveying messages and receiving messages. On the other hand requires teachers of both classroom teachers and special escort teachers to help improve the communication of children with autism in inclusive schools. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of interactional communication model of autistic children with regular children, classroom teachers, and GPK in SDN inclusion Tlogopatut 1 Gresik, describe the obstacles experienced by children with autism when communicating with regular children, classroom teachers and GPK in SDN inclusion Tlogopatut 1 Gresik, and describes solutions that have been given by class teachers and special escort teachers in developing the communication of autistic children in SDN Tlogopatut 1 Gresik inclusion. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Based on data analysis, it is found that the implementation of interactional model of interactional communication in inclusion schools has been done well. In sending messages and receiving messages autistic children can quite do it. In the implementation of interactional communication model three children with autism have been able to do both in the regular class and the source class. While the five students have not been able to do well. The obstacles experienced in the implementation of interactional communication model of autistic children with classroom teachers, friends, and GPK is the language factor. Most classroom teachers in inclusive schools still can not understand what the autistic child says. Because not all children with autism can speak with verbal words or use expressive language. In overcoming these obstacles the teacher provides several solutions to improve the communication of children with autism in SDN Tlogopatut 1 Gresik inclusion is by providing individualized learning programs tailored to the ability of the child, often - often invite communication children with autism so they are accustomed to communicate with others, and provide The addition of new vocabulary for autistic children to communicate by saying the word or in sentence form well. Abstract

ABSTRACT:Writing was a speech skill which was used to communicate indirectly. Writing was an activity which behaved productive and effective through a lot of training and practicing regularly. For autism children, beginning writing ability was required so much because beginning writing ability was the pre-requirement for the effort to learn various subject matters. This research purpose was to prove whether there was influence of drill method application toward beginning writing ability to autism children in SDLB Bandaran 3 Winongan Pasuruan or not. The research method used was quantitative with pre-experimental design arrangement and one group pretest – posttest design. The data was collected using test and documentation techniques. The technique of data analysis used was statistic non parametric with n = 6 and α = 5% and it was analyzed using Sign test formula. The research result indicated that the result of pretest average value was 57,99 and the result of posttest average value was 81,25 while the result of data analysis indicated that Zh value (2,05) and Z table 5% (1,96) so the interpretation was Zh > Zt. So, it could be concluded that Ha was accepted. It meant there was influence of drill method application toward beginning writing ability to autism children in SDLB Bandaran 3 Winongan Pasuruan.   Keywords: Drill method, beginning writing

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Applied Behavior Analys is a structured, purposeful and clear method. Autistic child receptive communication there are two types, the ability to listen and read. Communication barriers experienced by children with autism is communication listening and reading include the ability to understand the message conveyed by others, in addition to the ability of receptive communication includes the ability to communicate with others. Research method in this research is using qualitative approach descriptive type. The location of the research was at Little Star Gresik Therapy Institute using Applied Behavior Analys method in the learning process. The purpose of this study describes the implementation of Applied Behavior Analys method in improving the receptive communication of children with autism in the Institute of Therapeutic Little Star Gresik. Data collection techniques with observation in the therapy room, interviews and documentation studies. While the data analysis techniques using data reduction (data reduction), display data (presentation data), and conclution drawing / verification (withdrawal and verification). The implementation of Applied Behavior Analys method in Autistic children who experience receptive communication barrier at Therapeutic Institute of Little Star Gresik faces obstacles to the implementation aspect of principle and technique, because the implementation of Applied Behavior Analys which requires the child to follow the instruction of the teacher so that the child feel saturated in the learning process takes place. Therapists or teachers provide a solution for parents to always monitor child development and modify so that children do not get bored and saturated during the learning process takes place. Abstract

ABSTRACT: Problems in the field of communication autistic children one of them is the level of vocabulary mastery is low. The purpose of this study is to prove the use of interactive multimedia Fun Word based Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) to improve the mastery of the vocabulary of children with autism. The developed vocabulary is the vocabulary used in everyday life. This research uses quantitative research approach with pre-experimental research type, and one-group pretest-posttest design. Subjects in this study were 6 children of class III autism in SDLB Krida Utama. Technique of collecting data that is in the form of test. While the technique of data analysis using non parametik statistic with Wilcoxon test. The results showed that before the treatment / pre-test the average value obtained was 52.1 and after the treated / post-test the average value obtained for 64.1. Value Zh = 2.20 is greater than the crisis value of 5% Zt = +1,96 which means Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, so it can be concluded that the use of interactive multimedia Fun Word based Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) significantly influence the mastery of vocabulary children with autism.     Keywords: Interactive Multimedia, Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI), Vocabulary

Abstract

ABSTRACT:The hearing disturbance which was experienced by the hearing impairment students would have impact to the obstruction of speech development especially in writing. It caused hearing impairment students get difficulty in arranging sentence. One of the learning models, which could help hearing impairment students toward writing simple sentence ability, was learning model of substitution drill in Indonesian lesson. This research purpose was to analyze the influence of drill learning model toward writing simple sentence ability to hearing impairment students. This research used pre experiment kind of research. The time applied in this research was 10 times meeting with 8 times intervention. The research design used was one group pre test post test design with 3 students as the subject. The research location was SLB Muhammadiyah Sidayu Gresik. The method of data collection was done by test and observation. The data analysis was statistic non parametric by using sign test. From the research result which was then analyzed using sign test formula, it was obtained Z counted (ZH) 1,73 while the value of Z table in 5% significant for one side test was Zt = 1,64. Based on the explanation above it could be concluded that the learning model of substitution drill influenced toward writing simple sentence ability to hearing impairment students of class V in SLB Muhammadiyah Sidayu Gresik.   Keywords: Learning model, substitution drill, writing sentence ability

Abstract

ABSTRACT:Hearing impairment caused the obstruction of speech ability which produced complex development problem. Inhibition of language development includes aspects of listening, speaking, reading which result in writing skills. Therefore, it takes learning that helps the child in writing with attention to the characteristics of the child. The scientific approach is a learning process that encourages students to perform scientific activities by observing, questioning, gathering information and communicating. A scientific approach was learning approach giving priority to Visual senses that match the characteristics of deaf students who tend to optimize their sense of view to capture information. This research had purpose to analyze the influence of scientific approach in learning writing description. This research uses quantitative approach and pre experimental research type. The research design "One Group, pretest-posttest design" with the subject of research of children with hearing impairment class II which amounted to 6 people. Location of research at SLB Muhammadiyah Sidayu Gresik. The method of data collection used test and the technique of data analysis used statistic non parametric with sign test. Based on the data analysis it indicated ZH = 2,05> Z table = 1,96 to 5% significant level (two sides test). So, it could be concluded that there was significant influence of scientific approach toward writing description ability to hearing impairment students of class II in SLB Muhammadiyah Sidayu.   Keywords: Scientific Approach, Writing Learning

Abstract

ABSTRACT:Concentration was focusing attention or thinking to something. By concentrating, all things could be recorded well in the brain memory and then they could easily be existed anytime needed. One of the difficulties which often happened to hyperactive children was concentration. If it was not solved soon the children would have experienced difficulty in developing their academic ability. This research purpose was to observe the concentration of hyperactive children. This research used Single Subject Research (SSR) kind with A-B design. The technique of data collection used was observation. The technique of data analysis used was visual analysis in condition and visual analysis among condition. Based on the result of visual analysis in condition, the baseline phase indicated the unstable condition while the intervention phase indicated stable change and in visual analysis among condition the baseline phase to intervention phase was decreasing to increasing or better which meant it indicated positive change tendency. So, it could be concluded that the technique of economic token influenced positive toward the concentration of hyperactive children.   Keywords: Concentration, Economic Token

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Problem of deaf children is obstacles in language development because language is an important tool to communicate with others. In order to be able to develop oral communication skill, these children need to be taught how to speak using VAKT (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile). This method uses visual (vision sense), auditory (audio sense), kinesthetic (doing activity), and tactile (touch sense). This method is good and right in teaching  how to speak to the deaf children. The VAKT method can be used to the children with disorders of language,  phonic consciousness, vocabulary development, reading and writing. This research aims to analyze the improvement of  speaking skill by using the VAKT method to the deaf children in class of D1 at SLB (extra ordinary school) of Al Farah Menganti Gresik. This is a class action research  (PTK) with Kemmis and Mc Taggart design meaning this research uses cycle class action research. Subject of this research is three deaf children  at SLB of Al Falah Menganti Gresik. Data was collected by using  observation and test techniques. Then data  was analyzed by using descriptive quantitative technique  presented in forms of table and bar graphic. Data in numeral form then was descripted thereby producing meaning and can be concluded.  Results of the research indicate that activity of teacher in cycle I and II is  62.5 and 77.8 respectively; activity of children in cycle I and II is 66.7 and 81.2 respectively; and score of result of speaking in the same cycle is 64.6 and 79.2 respectively. From this results, it can be concluded that there is improvement of speaking skill by using VAKT method to the deaf children of class I at SLB of Al FalahMenganti Gresik.   Keywords: speaking ability, VAKT method
