Abstract

  ABSTRACT Learning readiness was a condition which needed to be prepared before doing or beginning some learning activities. To mentally retardation, learning readiness was absolute to be needed in reaching their studying achievement. The learning readiness included physic readiness, mental readiness, and material readiness.This research had purpose to know whether there was relationship between learning readiness and learning achievement of mathematics to mentally retardation or not. The subject of this research was mild mentally retardation. This research used quantitative kind with correlation arrangement to know whether there was significant relationship between learning readiness and learning achievement of mathematics readiness to mild mentally retardation or not. The data was collected using questionnaire technique, observation, and documentation. The technique of data analysis used was statistic non parametric, with n = 10 and α = 5% and then it was processed using spearman rank correlation with the aim of SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science) software V.23 for windows. The result of data analysis in this research was obtained that p = 0,871 was greater than p table in the significant level either 5% = 0,648 or 1% = 0,794 so the interpretation was p counted > p table which meant Ho was accepted and Ha was rejected. The data analysis of this research indicated that the correlation between variable X (learning readiness) and Variable Y (learning achievement) were in high category and there was real / significant relationship between learning readiness and learning achievement of mathematics to mild mentally retardation.   Keywords: Learning readiness, learning achievement of mentally retardation

Abstract

ABSTRACT A part of autism children had obstacle in gross motoric, therefore, to solve the problem was needed the activity attracting the children, one of the activities used to attract the children was bowling game. Bowling game was the game which mostly used the strength of hands muscles. The purpose of this research was to prove the influence of bowling game toward gross motoric ability to autism children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo. The research method used quantitative approach the data was collected using a test of participant’s gross motoric ability and documentation, the test of participant’s gross motoric ability was used to obtain the data of gross motoric ability to autism children before and after giving treatments while the data from documentation was used as the support data or proof that the research was really done. The research result indicated that in initial observation / pre test, the average obtained was 47,9 and after giving treatment in the final observation / post test the average obtained was 77,08. It indicated that there was significant enhancement. Zh value = 2,20 was greater than critic value 5% Zt = +1,96 which meant that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted so it could be stated there was influence of bowling game toward gross motoric ability to autism children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo.   Keywords: bowling game, gross motoric

Abstract

Abstract   The research of the influence of playing a box of geometry form toward the result of learning mathematics of flat structure to autism children in SLB Cita Hati Bunda Sidoarjo was formed background by the autism children’s ability in recognizing and grouping the form of flat structure (triangle, rectangle, and around) which still needed to be developed so the researcher gave fun activity which could facility the autism children to understand the flat structure material through the activity of playing a box of geometry form. The activity of learning mathematics of flat structure was not applied yet before in SLB Cita Hati Bunda Sidoarjo. The purpose of this research was to prove whether there was influence of playing a box of geometry form toward the result of learning mathematics of flat structure to autism children in SLB Cita Hati Bunda Sidoarjo. The research method used was quantitative approach with pre experiment kind and one group pretest posttest design. The sampling technique used was purposive sample and the technique of data collection was test. There were two tests done i.e. the test was done to assess the children’s initial ability before and after giving treatment of playing a box of geometry form. The technique of data analysis used statistic non parametric, the test was done by Wilcoxon Match Pair Test formula. The research result indicated that the test average value obtained before giving treatment of playing a box was 37,28 while the test average value obtained after giving treatment of playing a box of geometry form was 75,27, it indicated that there was enhancement value. In addition, the research result also indicated Tcounted = 0 was smaller than Ttable = 2 with significant level 5%. If Tcounted = 0 < Ttable = 2 so it could be concluded that there was influence of playing a box of geometry form toward the result of learning mathematic of flat structure to autism children in SLB Cita Hati Bunda Sidoarjo.   Keywords: playing,  a box of geometry form

Abstract

Abstract Special need children had different reading ability in SDN inclusion 1 Selong and SDN inclusion 2Suangi East Lombok i.e. the reading ability of special need students in SDN inclusion 1 Selong was better than the special need students in SDN inclusion 2 Suangi. Based on the fact, the research was done to know the difference of learning beginning reading of special need students in SDN inclusion 1 Selong and SDN inclusion 2 Suangi East Lombok involving: (1) learning plan (RPP and PPI), (2) learning implementation including material, method, media, and evaluation, (3) reading skill of special need students. The purpose of this research was directed to describe the difference and the similar of learning beginning reading of special need students in SDN inclusion 1 Selong and SDN inclusion 2 Suangi scoping 1) learning plan (RPP and PPI), 2) learning implementation including material, method, media, and evaluation, 3) reading skill of special need students. This research was descriptive qualitative. The data collection was done by Triangulation Validation method. The data analysis was done by flow technique those were data reduction, display data (presenting data), and conclusion / verification. Based on the research result it could be concluded that there were difference and similar of learning beginning reading between SDN inclusion 1 Selong and SDN inclusion 2 Suangi. The difference existed related with learning media and the ability of reading skill of special need students and the similar existed related with learning plan, material, method, and learning evaluation.   Keywords: studi comparison, beginning reading

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research about the influence of Somatic, Auditory, Visually, Intellectually (SAVI) approach toward beginning reading ability to autism children in SDLBN Bendo Blitar was set background by the autism children’s ability in beginning reading (reading alphabets, syllables, words, and simple sentences) which still needed to be developed, because they were quickly bored with the monotone material and less interesting media used so the researcher gave fun and active learning using Somatic, Auditory, Visually, Intellectually (SAVI) approach. The learning activity of beginning reading with Somatic, Auditory, Visually, Intellectually (SAVI) approach was not applied yet in SDLBN Bendo Blitar. The purpose of this research was to prove whether there was influence of Somatic, Auditory, Visually, Intellectually (SAVI) approach toward beginning reading ability to autism children in SDLBN Bendo Blitar. The method used in this research involved quantitative approach with pre experiment kind using one group pre test – post test design. The sampling technique in this research used purposive sample. The techniques of data collection were observation, test, and documentation. There were two things which should be done to assess the beginning reading ability of autism children i.e. the test, before the autism children were given treatment with Somatic, Auditory, Visually, Intellectually (SAVI) approach and the test, after they were given treatment with Somatic, Auditory, Visually, Intellectually (SAVI) approach. The data analysis technique of research result used statistic non parametric with Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test. The research result indicated that the average value of beginning reading test which was obtained before using Somatic, Auditory, Visually, Intellectually (SAVI) approach was 40,1 while the average value of beginning reading test which was obtained after using Somatic, Auditory, Visually, Intellectually (SAVI) approach was 76,56. It indicated that there was significant enhancement. In addition, the research result also indicated that Z counted = 2,2 was greater than Z table = 1,96 with critic value 5%. If Z counted = 2,2 > Z table = 1,96 which meant that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted so it could be concluded that there was influence of Somatic, Auditory, Visually, Intellectually (SAVI) approach toward beginning reading ability to autism children in SDLBN Bendo Blitar.     Keywords:  beginning reading, SAVI approach

Abstract

ABTRACT This research had purpose to know the influence of scientific approach toward writing narrative ability to the fourth class of hearing impairment students in SDLB PGRI Kawedanan Magetan. The instrument used to obtain the data of writing narrative ability was technique test while for data analysis used Wilcoxon Match Pairs test. The research result indicated that the average value result of pre test was 50,83 and the post test was 76,6. The result of data analysis indicated that Zh value was 2,20 and Z table was 5%, 1,96 so the interpretation was Zh > Zt. It could be concluded that Ha was accepted it meant there was influence of scientific approach application toward writing ability of the fourth class hearing impairment students in SDLB PGRI Kawedanan Magetan. Abstract

Abstract The ability of blind children in understanding science concept was low so that it required orientation and mobility to help the readiness in learning using cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share (TPS) type. The purposes of this research were 1) to analyze whether there was implementation influence of cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share (TPS) type toward science learning result to the blind students in SMPLB-A YPAB Surabaya, 2) to analyze the learning activity of the blind students in SMPLB-A YPAB Surabaya toward the implementation of cooperative learning of Think Pair Share (TPS) type. The approach used was quantitative with pre-experiment kind and the design was one group pretest-posttest design. The data was collected by test method, observation, and documentation. The technique of data analysis used was statistic non parametric with n = 9 and α = 5% (1,96) and it was processed using Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test formula. The research result indicated that the average value of pretest was 40 and the average value of posttest was 70. The result of data analysis Z counted = 2,66 > Z table = 1,96. Ha was accepted it meant that there was implementation influence of cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share (TPS) type toward learning science result to the blind students in SMPLB-A YPAB Surabaya whereas the learning activity which was analyzed by giving treatment for 6 times meeting indicated good result with 71,4% value.   Keywords: Think Pair Share (TPS), learning science

Abstract

Abstract Hearing impairment had impact to the impeded children’s language development. It caused complex development problem, such as the low entering information, disturbed social interaction, hampered intelligence ability, and emotion. Therefore, the development of language skill had to be implemented as early as possible. One of them developed reading skill through Shared Reading. The purpose was to describe whether there was the influence of shared reading using big book toward beginning reading ability to the first class of hearing impairment students in SDLB-B Kemala Bhayangkari I Trenggalek or not. This research approach was quantitative with pre-experiment kind, and one group pretest-posttest design. The independent variable of shared reading used big book and the dependent variable was beginning reading ability. The research subject was the first class of hearing impairment students in SDLB-B Kemala Bhayangkari I Trenggalek numbering 8 children. The data collection used oral test (reading), the data analysis used was sign test. The result of data analysis indicated that the average value of beginning reading ability pre test was 56,53 and the post test was 83,02. Z table 5% to two sides test was 1,96 and the Zh value obtained was 2,48. Based on the result of data analysis it could be concluded that there was significant influence of using Shared Reading with Big Book toward beginning reading ability to the first class of hearing impairment students in SDLB-B Kemala Bhayangkari I Trenggalek.     Keywords: Shared Reading, Big Book, beginning reading

Abstract

ABSTRACT Autism children had disturbance in cognitive i.e. recognizing numbers concept. It happened because of less interesting learning, less motivating children, and monotone. Therefore, it required learning which was appropriate with the autism children characteristics. The obstruction in recognizing numbers concept would be overcome by playing Uno modification. Playing Uno modification was playing Uno activity which gave priority to equation number and the activities of counting, matching, putting in order, and writing number 1-9 in the rule game so it utilized for learning numbers concept recognition. Playing Uno modification was also fun, interesting, and modern playing activity and new game for the children. The purpose of this research was to prove the influence of playing Uno modification toward the ability of recognizing numbers concept to autism children. This research used quantitative approach with pre experiment kind and used the arrangement of one-group pre-test and post-test design with the subject 6 autism children. The sampling technique in this research used purposive sample i.e. taking the sample based on the characteristics which was the population main characteristics. The technique of data collection was test and documentation. The technique of data analysis used statistic non parametric Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test. The research result indicated that the ability of recognizing numbers concept before using playing Uno modification was 51,25 whereas the ability of recognizing numbers concept after using playing Uno modification was 77,5. It indicated that there was enhancement. In addition, the research result also indicated Z counted = 2,2 was greater than Z table = 1,96 with crisis value 5%. If Z counted = 2,2 > Z table = 1,96 so it could be concluded that there was influence of playing Uno modification toward the ability of recognizing numbers concept to autism children   Keywords: Numbers, Playing Uno Modification.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hearing impairment had impact to hearing impairment children’s academic ability so that it caused the knowledge competence (K3) which emphasized to the comprehension of hearing impairment children about heat energy concept very less. Therefore, to solve the problem it required an effective approach which was adjusted to the characteristics and the needs of hearing impairment children, one of them was by applying scientific approach in learning process. The purpose of this research was to know whether there was the influence of scientific approach toward heat energy concept competence to hearing impairment children or not. The research method used was quantitative method with pre-experiment arrangement and the kind of one group pre test post test design. The research result indicated that in the result of pre test the average value was 27 and post test was 77. The result of data analysis indicated that the value of T counted (17,597) ≥ T table (2,045) with significant level 5%. It could be concluded that Ha was accepted it meant that there was influence of scientific approach application toward heat energy concept competence to hearing impairment children.   Keywords: Scientific approach, heat energy concept
