Abstract

Abstract The cognitive development of hearing impairment children was influenced so much by the language development. The minimum language skill could influence the hearing impairment children in learning mathematics especially related with story exercise material which demanded the students to think abstractly. TTW was learning model which was begun from the activity of thinking, talking (communicating), and writing.  This research purpose was to analyze the influence of TTW learning model toward the learning result of story exercise solution of mathematics round numbers to hearing impairment students. The subject was class IV hearing impairment students in SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo, 6 students. This research used quantitative research method with Pre-Experimental arrangement with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data was collected using test technique. The data analysis technique used was statistic non parametric with Wilcoxon Two Sample Test formula. The research result indicated that the average value of pretest result was 42 and the average value of postest was 82,5. The result of data analysis indicated that α value = 0,05 and U table 5% = 0,021, so the interpretation was α > U tabel. It could be concluded that Ha was accepted, it meant that there was influence of think talk write (TTW) learning method toward the learning result of story exercise solution of mathematics round numbers to hearing impairment students. Abstract

Abstract Learning model of Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment and Satisfaction (ARIAS) was the first effort in learning activity to plant trust sense to students. Trust attitude to the students could motivate them to behave achieving success. This research had purposes (1) to describe the learning process in learning model of Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction (ARIAS) in science lesson to the blind students in SDLB-A Tegalsari Surabaya, (2) to state the readiness done by the teacher in the implementation of learning model of Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction (ARIAS) in science lesson to the blind students in SDLB-A Tegalsari Surabaya, and (3) to describe the arrangement used as the evaluation instrument of learning model of Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction (ARIAS) in science lesson to the blind students in SDLB-A Tegalsari Surabaya. This research used descriptive method of qualitative approach and the technique of data collection applied observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis used the steps of reduction data, display data, and verification / concluding. The research result indicated that (1) the learning process in learning model of Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction (ARIAS) in science lesson to the blind students in SDLB-A Tegalsari Surabaya could be applied well. The students were more active from the lesson before, (2) the readiness done by the teacher in learning model of Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction (ARIAS) in science lesson to the blind students in SDLB-A Tegalsari Surabaya was arranging syllabus, RPP, teaching material, and making assessment sheet (evaluation), (3) the evaluation arrangement in learning model of Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction (ARIAS) was the authentic assessment.   Keywords: Learning model of Assurance Relevance Interes  Assessment Satisfaction (ARIAS), Science,

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was formed background the importance of social behavior to be developed to autism children since early age. One of the social behavior aspects which needed to be developed was cooperation behavior. It seemed to the autism children’s behavior which was very individualist and closed in finishing everything. Through project method autism children were directed to finish the class picket duty with cooperating together with classmates. This research had purpose to prove the influence of project method toward cooperation behavior to autism children of group B in TK Insani Mandiri Sidoarjo. This research used quantitative approach with experiment kind with single subject research and the research arrangement was A-B-A. The subject was all autism children of group B in Insani Mandiri Sidoarjo numbering 1 child whose social behavior of cooperation aspect needed to be developed. The data collection technique used observation. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistic with visual analysis in condition and visual analysis among condition. The research result indicated that project method could decrease cooperation refusal behavior to autism children of group B in TK Insani Mandiri with the average frequency to baseline phase (A1) 3,5, intervention phase (B) 0 and repeating baseline observation phase (A2) 2,5. From the overlap data it indicated that the small percentage value was 20% which meant project method influenced toward cooperation refusal behavior to autism children of group B in TK Insani Mandiri Sidoarjo.   Keywords : Project method, cooperation behavior

Abstract

ABSTRACT Visual impairment caused learning disabilities, it was read, and also read Koran. Learning process must be given by a suitable method and media which appropriate with their characteristics. The purpose of this research was to describe the efctiveness of using iqro’ braille  media improving ability of reading Al-Qur’an to the third class of students with visual impairment  in  SDLB-A  YPAB Surabaya. This research was use quantitative approach, pre eksperimental researche with one group pre test-post test design.  A number of students 3rd grades was involved in this research. Data was collected by test method and use sign test nonparametric statistic analysis. Based on pre test-post test  data analysis it obtained positive change. Mean score on pre test was 44.17, and rised 81.67, after given intervention  during 4 meeting. The data research result was known n=6, with X= 5.5, = 5% (0,05),  and µ = 3.0 tested by sign test. Then,  Z count was (Zh) = 2.03 and compared with two side sign test 1.64, so Zh > Z tabel, it was 2.03 > 1.64 which interpreted that, there was an effect of using iqro’ braille  media improving ability of reading Al-Qur’an to the third class of students with visual impairment  in  SDLB-A  YPAB Surabaya.    Kata kunci : reading Al-Qur’an, iqra Braille media.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The deaf student have language development hidrance. From the observasi in SLB Tunas Kasih Surabaya at 16 Mei 2016 show that the deaf student to experience difficult to say and show object the want. To tell something the role playing methode used to surpass that. The purpose of this research is to analis the influence of role playing methode of ekspresif ability the deaf student in SLB Tunas Kasih Surabaya. This research used kuantitatif research with eksperimental appoximation. To match this appoximation. Therefore plan of research used single subject research with multiple baseline cross subjects desaign. The subject of research are there deaf student in SLB Tunas Kasih Surabaya. Data collage technich is observation and documentation Result off the research show that, the first subyek (NB) stabilitas level and baseline phase spin (A) 82% show stabil date with 1-2 spin, the second subject (OL) 87,5% show stabil date with 3-4 spin, and the third subject (NN) 85% show stabil date with 1-2 spin. Overlap presentase of the first subject (NB) is 11 %, second subject (OL) is 7 % and the third subject (NN) is 5%. It show the intervensi is influentual to target behavior. So that can be conclued there is significant influence in role playying methode of ekspresif ability the deaf student in SLB Tunas Kasih Surabaya.   Keywords: role playing methode, ekspresif ability

Abstract

Abstract Hearing impairment would have disturbance if the information which the children obtained was in the form of verbalization, because it required listening ability and thinking training. Therefore hearing impairment children had obstacle in understanding the abstract things, such as mathematics. Hence it needed to develop ability to learning mathematics, one of them was comparing using things around children as learning media because they were easy to find and fast to be recognized so that they could attract the children desire. This research had purpose to describe whether there was influence of using things around children learning media toward comparing ability in learning mathematics to class II hearing impairment students in SLB Asih Mulya. This research used quantitative approach with pre Experimental kind and one group pretest and posttest design. The independent variable was “things around children learning media” and the dependent variable was “comparing ability”. The subject was class II hearing impairment students numbering 6 people. The data collection used writing test and the data analysis used sign test. This research result indicated that There was enhancement of average value of comparing ability i.e. pre-test was 33.33 and in post-test the value became 70. Zh value obtained was 2,05 and Z table 5% to two sides test was 1,96 so it could be concluded that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted. Based on the explanation above it could be concluded that there was significant influence of using things around children learning media toward comparing ability in learning mathematics to class II hearing impairment students in SLB Asih Mulya Pamekasan.   Keywords: Learning Media, Things Around children

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research objective to describe the 2013 curriculum implementation, as well as the challenges and solutions in the2013 curriculum implementation for PDBK at State Vocational High School 2  Malang. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique used interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed through the data reduction, a data display, and conclusion drawing / verification. Technique authenticity of data used triangulation. The results showed that 1) the implementation of the 2013 curriculum for special needs learners on the sport subjects, as well as on the productive subjects in department hotel accommodation and network computer there was small modifications curriculum which was adjusted with the objectives, content, process and evaluation. Modifications was done in the indicators of success, media, time, place, the learning process and learning evaluation 2) There were some problems that include constraints of teachers in the process of presenting the material (for example: how to communicate with the lips motion), the next problem about learning process that required the active role of learners while special needs learners who had particular barriers (for example through obstacles in cognitive, psychomotor, and affective), other constraints regarding more detailed assessment process than the previous curriculum that included knowledge, skills, and behaviour aspects. 3) The chosen solution to this dilemma was the provision of additional information to the regular teachers about special needs learners and learning methods that were appropriate for PDBK, that teachers also needed to get advanced training on the 2013 curriculum until the assessment process, the other solution was to assign Special Educators Teacher (GPK) in the creating of subject teachers joint learning program.   Keywords: implementation, curriculum, special needs learners,  inclusive school

Abstract

Abstract Some autism children often showed self stimulation behavior such as flapping hands which was continuously done so that it disturbed the learning process and the children’s daily life. The purpose of this research was to prove whether there was influence of using token economic technique toward self stimulation behavior to autism children in Mentari School kindergarten Sidoarjo or not.                 This research was experiment with Single Subject Research (SSR) of A-B design. The subject was one of the autism children in Mentari School kindergarten Sidoarjo who usually did self stimulation behavior i.e. flapping hands behavior. The research result indicated that the average self stimulation behavior was done in 30 minutes to baseline phase (A) was 21-25 times with the total duration 65-112 seconds, and to intervention phase (B) was 10-14 times with the total duration 40-52 seconds for 30 minutes.According to the data analysis, it was concluded that token economic technique could reduce self stimulation behavior (flapping hands) to autism children which was previously done 21-25 times with the total duration 65-112 seconds and then it reduced i.e. 10-14 times with the total duration 40-52 seconds in 30 minutes   Keywords: Token economic technique, self stimulation behavior

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to observe whether there was influence of telling story method based flip chart media toward speaking ability to hearing impairment students of class II in SLB BC Karya Bhakti Surabaya or not. The result which would be reached was the speaking ability of hearing impairment students. This research used pre experiment kind. The time applied was 8 times meeting with 6 times treatment. The research design used was one group pre test – post test design with the subject 6 students. The data collection method was done by observation and test. The data analysis used was statistic non parametric with sign test. From the research result which was then analyzed using sign test formula, it was obtained Z counted (ZH) 2,05 whereas Z table Zt) in 5% significant for one side test was 1,64 and two sides test was 1% (Zt = 1%) so Ho was refused (1,64 < 2,05 > 2,04). Based on the explanation above, it could be concluded that there was influence of telling story method based flip chart media toward speaking ability to hearing impairment students of class II in SLB BC Karya Bhakti Surabaya.   Keywords: Telling story method, flip chart media, speaking ability

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Hearing impairment had impact to the hindrance of the children’s speaking development. The hindrance of the children’s speaking development caused complex development problem such as the low information accepted so it had impact to the low vocabulary possessed by the children, the children’s social interaction was disturbed, and the children’s emotion and intelligence skill were disturbed. Therefore, developing speaking skill should be implemented as early as possible. One of them developed writing description skill through the concept application of visual literacy class. The purpose of this research was to prove the influence of the concept application of visual literacy class toward writing description skill to hearing impairment children of class IV in SDLB-B Karya Mulia 1 Surabaya. This research used quantitative approach with pre-experiment kind, and one-group pretest-posttest. The subject in this research was hearing impairment children of class IV in SDLB-B Karya Mulia 1 Surabaya numbering 7 children. The data collection technique used test and documentation. The data analysis technique used statistic non parametric with Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test. The result of data analysis indicated that there was significant influence of the concept application of visual literacy class toward writing description skill to hearing impairment children of class IV in SDLB-B Karya Mulia 1 Surabaya.   Keywords: Concept of visual literacy class, writing description skill
