Abstract

Inorganic waste in the form of aluminum bar scraps and broken glass generated by small-scale industries in Kendari City is generally underutilized and often ends up in landfills. This condition has the potential to increase environmental burdens because both materials are difficult to decompose naturally. This study aims to describe the utilization process of aluminum and glass waste through an upcycling technique to produce an interior product in the form of a flower pot rack measuring 75 × 25 × 25 cm. The method employed includes waste collection and sorting, product design, material cutting and assembly, and final product evaluation. The results indicate that aluminum and glass waste can be transformed into a functional, aesthetic, and corrosion-resistant product with an additional material cost of approximately IDR 15,000. The resulting product not only serves as a useful interior element but also provides added economic value compared to the original waste materials. The application of upcycling techniques contributes to reducing the volume of inorganic waste while creating opportunities for the development of creative businesses based on recycled materials within the local MSME sector. Therefore, converting aluminum and glass waste into flower pot racks can serve as an alternative solution for sustainable and economically valuable waste management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand awareness, perceived quality, and social media advertising on the purchase intention of Nike shoes among university students in Malang City. The increasing competition among global sportswear brands has encouraged companies to understand factors that influence consumer purchase intention, especially among young consumers. This study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 112 university students in Malang City who were familiar with Nike products and had been exposed to Nike advertisements on social media. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis supported by validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficient of determination tests. The findings indicate that brand awareness, perceived quality, and social media advertising positively influence purchase intention. Perceived quality was identified as the most dominant variable affecting students’ purchase intention toward Nike shoes. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly contribute to explaining consumer purchase intention. The results highlight the importance of maintaining product quality, strengthening brand recognition, and optimizing social media marketing strategies to increase purchase intention among university students.

Abstract

This study examines the development of assessment and evaluation in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning, focusing on fundamental concepts, objectives, principles, assessment types, item analysis, and test revision. The study addresses the need for valid and comprehensive assessment practices capable of measuring students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies. Data were collected through a literature review of books, scientific journals, and relevant educational documents related to assessment and evaluation in Islamic Religious Education. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis by identifying, comparing, and interpreting relevant theories and findings. The results indicate that effective assessment and evaluation require well-designed instruments that meet the principles of validity, reliability, objectivity, and fairness. Item analysis, including the examination of difficulty level, discrimination index, validity, reliability, and distractor effectiveness, provides essential information for improving the quality of assessment instruments. The findings also demonstrate that systematic test revision based on item analysis enhances the accuracy of measuring students’ learning outcomes and supports continuous improvement in the learning process. In conclusion, the development of assessment and evaluation in Islamic Religious Education should be carried out systematically through appropriate planning, implementation, analysis, and revision to produce high-quality assessment instruments that accurately measure students’ competencies and contribute to the achievement of educational objectives.

Abstract

International financial management practices have been significantly transformed by advances in digital technology, particularly for multinational corporations. Through the use of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, cloud computing, and blockchain, digital transformation enables businesses to improve operational efficiency, accelerate international transaction processes, and enhance decision-making. The purpose of this article is to examine both the opportunities and barriers arising from digital transformation in international financial management in global corporations. This study analyzes the literature on digital transformation, international financial management, and business digitization. The results show that digital transformation offers opportunities for better risk management, greater information transparency, and integration of financial systems across countries. However, digitalization faces many challenges, as does integrating the financial systems of other countries. These challenges include cybersecurity threats, regulatory differences between countries, limitations in technological infrastructure, and the need to improve human resource skills. Therefore, to capitalize on technological opportunities while mitigating risks in the international business environment, global corporations must implement appropriate digital transformation strategies.

Abstract

Moral degradation and behavioral deviance in the era of globalization and digitalization pose serious challenges for Islamic education in shaping the character of the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of moral degradation from the perspective of the sociology of Islamic education and to formulate strategies for the reconstruction of Islamic education that are relevant to the development of contemporary society. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, analyzing various scientific journals, books, and academic sources related to the sociology of Islamic education, social change, and character education. The results indicate that moral degradation is influenced by various factors, including family dysfunction, the impact of globalization, an unhelpful digital culture, and the weak internalization of religious values. These conditions have led to a weakening of character, a crisis of role models, and an increase in various forms of deviant behavior among the younger generation. Therefore, Islamic education needs to be reconstructed through the strengthening of adab-based digital literacy, the revitalization of the concept of ta’dib, and synergy between families, schools, and the community. These efforts are expected to foster a generation of strong character and integrity, capable of navigating social change without losing Islamic values.
