Abstract

Digitalization has become an important driver of economic transformation and sustainable development by reshaping production processes, business models, financial services, public administration, and consumption patterns. This study aims to examine the opportunities and challenges of digitalization in supporting sustainable economic growth. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach was employed to identify, evaluate, and synthesize previous studies on digitalization, economic growth, sustainability, digital entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, resource efficiency, and digital transformation risks. The findings indicate that digitalization can support sustainable economic growth by increasing productivity, improving resource efficiency, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, expanding financial inclusion, strengthening market access, and improving public-service delivery. Digital technologies can also support sustainable development through smart systems, renewable-energy integration, sustainable consumption, and circular-economy practices. However, challenges such as the digital divide, employment insecurity, electronic waste, energy consumption, cybersecurity threats, data-privacy concerns, and market concentration remain significant. The study concludes that sustainable digital transformation requires inclusive infrastructure, digital literacy, workforce reskilling, environmental responsibility, effective governance, cybersecurity, and data protection.

Abstract

Ecotourism is an important component of sustainable tourism because it supports local economic development while promoting natural resource conservation. However, tourist attraction and visitation are influenced by various supporting factors that may differ according to tourist group size. This study examines the factors influencing tourist activity in ecotourism destinations, focusing on road maintenance, internet support, transportation, accommodation, travel agency activities, government subsidies, preferential loans, and institutional cooperation. A quantitative approach was employed using structured questionnaires distributed to local communities around ecotourism destinations. Data from 103 respondents were analyzed using STATA-17 through Pearson chi-square and Kendall’s tau. The findings show that road maintenance is significant for groups of 15–20 and 20–25 tourists, while internet support is significant for larger groups. Accommodation is more relevant to groups of 5–10 and 10–15 tourists, whereas transportation is significant for groups of 10–15 tourists. Travel agency activities show significant relationships across several groups, while government subsidies and preferential loans have differentiated effects according to group size. The study emphasizes the importance of integrated infrastructure, tourism services, digital connectivity, institutional cooperation, and socioeconomic support to strengthen tourist attraction and sustainable ecotourism development.

Abstract

This study examines how leadership influences profitability and organizational performance through identifiable transmission channels, exploring whether its impact is direct or mediated by firm-level capabilities and behaviors. The paper synthesizes cross-study evidence integrating leadership perspectives including transformational, transactional, digital, entrepreneurial, and ambidextrous with performance-management frameworks to trace effects from leader behaviors to process, market, and financial outcomes. Drawing on empirical studies from 2022–2025, the review finds that leadership quality rarely affects profitability directly; instead, its effects operate through mediators such as affective commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, innovation capacity, organizational learning, agile practices, and management accounting systems. Contextual moderators, including competition intensity, incentive design, institutional legitimacy, and cross-level dynamics, can amplify or dampen these effects. Methodologically, the study identifies consistent pathways, for example: leadership influences engagement, innovation, and agility, which enhance performance and ultimately improve profitability. The main contribution is a coherent value chain linking leadership to operational excellence and customer value, providing a practical blueprint for aligning leadership design with organizational systems, culture, and performance metrics to drive sustainable financial outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines how leadership communication strategies influence the effectiveness of cross-functional team collaboration within the banking industry, particularly amid digital transformation. The main question addressed is how communication by leaders fosters coordination, trust, and shared goals across diverse functional units. Using a qualitative approach through a systematic literature review, this study analyzes 30 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2018 and 2025, selected from databases such as Scopus, Emerald Insight, and ScienceDirect. The review identifies leadership communication as a pivotal mechanism in shaping team dynamics and sustaining organizational agility. Data synthesis reveals three key findings. First, transformational and participative communication enhances employee engagement and interdepartmental cooperation. Second, clarity and consistency of communication significantly improve alignment and reduce conflict within cross-functional teams. Third, empowering communication that encourages feedback and adaptive responses strengthens collaboration under digital change. The article discusses these themes by connecting leadership communication theory with organizational behavior and digital transformation frameworks. The findings highlight that effective communication strategies enable leaders to build trust, synchronize goals, and enhance collaborative performance across functions in dynamic banking environments.

Abstract

This study synthesizes how supervisory leadership and managerial coaching influence cross-selling performance in digital-banking frontline environments. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, 32 peer-reviewed articles indexed in Scopus and SINTA 1–2 were analyzed to examine multi-level mechanisms through which leadership behaviors shape frontline capability, engagement, adaptive selling, and organizational agility. The review finds that supervisory leadership contributes indirectly to cross-selling effectiveness through structured coaching practices that build competence, confidence, customer-handling capability, and adaptive selling behavior. Employee engagement functions as a psychological catalyst that activates these capabilities into behavioral performance, while organizational agility strengthens execution by enabling responsive coordination, fast decision-making, and integrated customer workflows. The findings emphasize that cross-selling performance arises from the interaction of leadership-driven capability development, coaching reinforcement, psychological activation, and structural agility. This review proposes an integrated conceptual framework relevant for digital-banking and microfinance institutions seeking to improve fee-based income through capability strengthening and frontline development strategies.

Abstract

This study examines how digital transformation shapes competitive advantage in the general insurance sector by synthesizing evidence from twenty-five peer-reviewed studies published between 2019 and 2025. The review addresses four key questions: the digital transformation strategies adopted by insurers, the mechanisms through which these strategies create competitive advantage, the organizational enablers and barriers influencing implementation success, and the integrated pathways linking digital initiatives to performance outcomes. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) following PRISMA guidelines, the analysis reveals five dominant themes. Insurers begin transformation by modernizing core processes, supported by technological enablers such as AI, analytics, cloud computing, and IoT. Competitive advantage emerges through cost efficiency, differentiation, agility, and innovation capability when technological adoption aligns with strategic objectives. Organizational readiness particularly leadership commitment, digital talent, and adaptive culture strongly shape transformation outcomes, while legacy systems, cultural resistance, and regulatory constraints remain major barriers. InsurTech ecosystems further accelerate innovation and extend insurers’ capabilities. Overall, the findings highlight that competitive advantage arises when technology integration, organizational capabilities, and ecosystem collaboration operate as a unified system. This review provides an integrated framework that advances theoretical understanding and offers strategic guidance for insurers in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Abstract

Internal auditors must possess flexible and comprehensive work skills due to advances in digital technology and the increasing complexity of the audit industry. The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of data analytics and work-life balance on internal auditor performance through a systematic literature review (SRB). The SRB methodology was used in this study. PRISMA was applied throughout the research process. To ensure the relevance of the material, a search was conducted for scientific publications published between 2020 and 2025 using leading academic databases including Emerald Insight, SpringerLink, Google Scholar, and PubMed. The keywords used in the list were “work-life balance,” “auditor performance,” “data analytics,” and “auditor.” Based on the findings, two significant elements that influence internal auditor effectiveness in the era of digital transformation are work-life balance (WLB) and the use of data analytics (DA). Most studies indicate that work-life balance has a positive impact on professional productivity, psychological health, and job happiness. These findings suggest that businesses' ability to achieve a compromise between the need for data-driven performance and the well-being of auditors as human beings will determine the future of the internal audit profession.
