Abstract

The protection of domestic workers in Indonesia is an urgent and complex issue, given the significant number of domestic workers and their contribution to household welfare. However, the absence of clear regulations on domestic workers' rights makes them vulnerable to exploitation, violence, and violations of basic rights. This study aims to analyze the impact of the lack of legal protection for domestic workers and the urgency of passing the Domestic Workers Protection Bill (PPRT). The analysis shows that without adequate regulations, domestic workers face a high risk of violence, inadequate wages, and lack of access to social security. In addition, social stigma and legal uncertainty further worsen their conditions. This research recommends the passage of the PPRT Bill as a crucial step to provide clear legal protection, increase public awareness of DWs' rights, and strengthen the role of civil society organizations in advocacy. With these steps, it is expected that the welfare and protection of domestic workers can be significantly improved.

Abstract

KM Kirana VII is a newly operating ship, approximately two years old. Many people are interested in trying out this ship due to information they've seen on social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram. Users of fast ships come from various backgrounds, and to determine passengers' satisfaction with the fare of Rp 197,000 and the received service, an ATP and WTP analysis of KM Kirana VII is necessary.The ATP and WTP values are calculated using the household budget and perception methods. This study presents the percentage of passengers' ability to pay and willingness to pay on the KM Kirana VII route. The analysis shows that 68.39% of passengers are able to pay the fare, while 31.61% are unable. 35.48% of passengers are willing to pay the fare, while 64.52% are unwilling. There are 32.91% of Kirana ship passengers who can pay but are unwilling to pay the imposed fare. The average ATP value is Rp 211,652 per one-way trip, while the average WTP value is Rp 177,406 per one-way trip. This means that the average ATP > WTP, indicating a higher ability to pay than willingness to pay. The fare suitability based on ATP and WTP values for KM Kirana VII falls within the zone of ideal tariff determination, but service improvement is necessary

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the problematic consumer protection of overclaimed products in the perspective of the Consumer Protection Law in Indonesia. Overclaims, which refer to excessive claims regarding the superiority of products, often deceive consumers and have the potential to harm them. The research method used is normative juridical with statutory and conceptual approaches. The results show that legal protection for consumers is divided into two categories: preventive legal protection and repressive legal protection. Preventive protection includes the provision of accurate information and a prohibition against misleading marketing practices. Meanwhile, repressive protection involves dispute resolution through litigation and the application of sanctions for businesses that overclaim. The liability of business actors related to overclaims is regulated in Article 19 of Law No. 8/1999, which obliges them to provide compensation to aggrieved consumers. This research also identifies the importance of increasing consumer awareness of their rights and the need for stricter supervision of business actors. Thus, this research is expected to provide recommendations for the improvement of consumer protection policies that are more effective in dealing with the issue of overclaims.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development of modern minimarkets and traditional markets in Alang-Alang Lebar District. With the rapid growth of minimarkets, this research explores the impact on the sustainability of traditional markets which have long been the center of the local economy. The method used is a quantitative approach using interviews, observation and secondary data analysis. The research results show that modern minimarkets provide easy access and product variety, but also cause a decrease in the number of visitors and income of traditional markets. However, traditional markets still have their own charm, such as unique local products and social interaction. Recommendations from this research include the importance of synergy between minimarkets and traditional markets to create a balanced and mutually beneficial economic ecosystem.

Abstract

The impact of the ratification of the Job Creation Perppu into Law Number 6 of 2023 is very significant, especially in the context of the expiration of statutory provisions. Based on the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) Number 91/PUU-XVIII/2020, the previous Job Creation Law was declared conditionally unconstitutional, with two years for substantial improvements. However, the government issued a Perppu on Job Creation which was later passed into law even though there was still time to make improvements. From a Sociology of Law perspective, this ratification shows dissatisfaction with the process of public participation and freedom of opinion, which are important conditions in the formation of legitimate and accepted laws. Research shows that Perppu No. 2 of 2022 which was amended into Law No. 6 of 2023 did not meet the requirements of compelling urgency stipulated in the law, thus raising questions about the legitimacy of the law and in the fairness of the legislative process.Overall, the ratification of the Job Creation Law creates challenges in the harmonization and synchronization of existing regulations, especially related to the rules of law formation stipulated in Law No. 12 of 2011. This suggests the need for further evaluation to ensure that the resulting law truly reflects the needs of society and the prevailing legal principles.

Abstract

The main focus of this research is to analyze the judge's consideration in handing down a verdict against a TNI Major involved in the crime of abuse of power. The method used in this research is a normative approach, which aims to explore the legal basis and juridical considerations used by the judge in this case. Pure military crimes, as regulated in the Military Criminal Code (KUHPM), are criminal acts that can only be committed by members of the military, and have special characteristics that distinguish them from general crimes. In the context of Decision No. 337 K/Mil/2022, the judge's consideration included an analysis of the available evidence, as well as the impact of the defendant's actions on the military institution and society. The results showed that the judge's consideration was not only based on legal aspects, but also considered the values of justice and the social impact of the act. The judge attempted to uphold the principle of substantive justice by imposing appropriate sanctions, expected to provide a deterrent effect and maintain the integrity of military institutions. This research is expected to contribute to the understanding of military criminal law enforcement in Indonesia, especially in the context of abuse of power by members of the TNI.

Abstract

Packaging is an object used for containers or places that are packaged and provide a protective effect. Plastic packaging is very difficult to recycle (Pengampu, A. D. 2021). However, it is still often used (Suminto. 2017). Edible film is biodegradable plastic packaging that can be consumed in the form of thin layer made from starch deposits that are high in carbohydrates such as corn starch. This literature review aims to examine in depth and compare several journals on the effect of glycerol concentration and the addition of carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) on the mechanical and physical properties of corn starch-based edible films and the extent to which the production process can affect the quality of edible films. This research uses the literature study method or literature study using accredited articles. Based on the results of research on corn starch-based edible film, it shows a number of important characteristics in its development. In general, the edible film produced has a relatively low tensile strength, and this value tends to decrease as the concentration of plasticizer (glycerol) used increases. However, the addition of carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) as an additive proved effective in improving the mechanical properties and tensile strength of the films, although the value still did not reach the minimum standard set by the Japanese industrial standard (JIS), which is 40 kgf/mm².

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is essential in the implementation of construction work. For this reason, efforts to prevent the risk of work accidents need to be considered, one of which is by implementing K3. This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health on workers' performance in the Klungkung Regency Public Service Mall Building project. The sampling technique applied in this study is using the total sampling technique, data collection by distributing questionnaires. The instrument used is the Likert scale. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis, by taking objects from Balinese ornament workers in the Klungkung Regency Public Service Mall Building Project. From the results of the analysis of the Effect of the Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health on Worker Performance, a negative regression coefficient value was obtained, this result means that the influence of Occupational Safety and Health did not have a positive and significant effect on worker performance, but based on the results of the determination coefficient test, it gave a result where the magnitude of the R2 value (determination coefficient) was 0.767, this shows that the variable variation in worker performance is simultaneously had a significant influence by the variables Occupational Safety and Occupational Health by 76.7%, while the remaining 23.3% were influenced by other factors not tested in the study.

Abstract

The rice farming sector in every region of Kalimantan Island in Indonesia is one of the supporting sectors for GDP in Indonesia. However, its contribution is still far behind Java Island, which is the largest supplier of GDP in the rice farming sector in Indonesia. One of the factors that determines the high and low GDP in the agricultural sector, especially rice crops, is the growth rate of rice production. The purpose of this study was to analyze the comparison of the highest and lowest rice harvested area, rice productivity and rice production growth in each province in Kalimantan Island for the period 2021-2024 and to analyze the effect of rice harvested area and rice productivity on rice production growth in various provinces in Kalimantan Island for the period 2021-2024. The method used is a quantitative approach in analyzing secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency according to a time series model from 2021-2024. The results found showed that not all rice harvested areas had a significant effect on rice production growth in a region. Rice production growth will increase if the two variables simultaneously, namely the amount of rice harvested area and rice productivity, have a high interaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the perception of benefits, perception of convenience and perception of effectiveness on the interest in using Qris in Generation Z in Mataram City. This study uses a quantitative research method with an associative approach. The sample used in this study is Generation Z aged 12-27 years which is 200 people. The reason for using a sample of 200 people is that the sample of 200 people is large enough to represent the population of Generation Z in Mataram City statistically. The data analysis methods used are multiple linear regression analysis, t-test and determination coefficient. The results of this study show that Perception of Benefits has a positive and significant effect on Interest in using Qris, Perception of Convenience has no significant effect on Interest in Using Qris and Perception of effectiveness has a positive and significant effect on Interest in using Qris. Then the perception of benefits and effectiveness is a factor that affects the interest in using Qris, while the perception of convenience is not included in the factors that affect the interest in using Qris
