Abstract

Public health is an important aspect that must be considered by local governments. One way to implement community health service programs is by utilizing village funds. Using a qualitative approach, this research was carried out through observation, interview, and documentation methods for five village government officials and three communities from Bojo I village. The results showed that the implementation of the public health program went through three stages, namely the preparation, assessment and formulation stages, as well as the implementation stage. The village funds used for health service programs amounted to Rp 104,100,000,00. The effectiveness of the implementation of public health programs with the use of village funds is assessed from five indicators, namely the program is successfully implemented, the program target reaches 80%, the community is satisfied, the use of village funds is proportional to the better public health, and the achievement of all program goals

Abstract

Hak memperoleh pangan merupakan hak mendasar manusia sesuai Pasal 27 Ayat 2 UUD 1945. Salah satu program yang diinisiasi pemerintah untuk membantu meringankan beban masyarakat dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok adalah Program Bantuan Pangan Non Tunai (BPNT). Fokus utama BPNT untuk membentuk sistem perlindungan sosial dan memberdayakan masyarakat miskin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui implementasi BPNT di Kelurahan Watang Bacukiki. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) komunikasi memainkan peran krusial dalam keberhasilan pelaksanaan BPNT di Kelurahan Watang Bacukiki; 2) sumber daya yang cukup dan efektif adalah faktor kunci dalam mendukung pelaksanaan Program BPNT; 3) penyaluran BPNT di Kelurahan Watang Bacukiki didukung berbagai pihak.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze people's perception of the river development process in Hamlet Cora Padaelo Village, Mattiro Bulu Subdistrict of Pinrang Regency. Research methods used include surveys, insights, and data analysis to understand views of needs, as well as community reactions to river development projects. Focus of the research is to understand the extent to which the role of community participation in the planning and implementation of such projects and the resulting social, economic, and environmental impacts can provide better insights for stakeholders in planning river development in the region, taking into account the aspirations and views of the community more comprehensively.

Abstract

Communication patterns are processes designed to represent the reality of the elements covered and their continuity, in order to facilitate systematic and logical thinking. This research uses a case study research method based on the phenomenon of extension activities currently occurring in Indonesia, or more specifically the communication patterns of Islamic Guidance Counselors of the Ministry of Islamic Religion of Parepare City. The results of the research show that the communication pattern in the marriage counseling of Islamic Guidance of the Ministry of Religion of Parepare City is a secondary communication pattern which provides information directly to prospective brides and grooms who register at KUA as well as school children such as high school students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the empowerment of the Mabbaca Library in increasing the reading interest of the people of Watang Bacukiki Village, Parepare City using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the research are that the Mabbaca library is a community learning resource center in Watang Bacukiki Village as well as an educational forum to support the reading interest of people around the sub-district. Community empowerment through the reading library can create prosperity for both individuals and families. The Mabbaca Library Service in Watang Bacukiki Village can support reading activities, namely the service is free, open and fosters enthusiasm for reading from an early age. The importance of sub-district libraries in educating and empowering the community and supporting the implementation of national education needs to be developed as a learning resource for the community.

Abstract

Part-time work has become a common phenomenon among college students as an opportunity to gain work experience and be financially independent. However, the impact of part-time work on student academic achievement is still a growing debate. This study aims to determine the impact of part-time work on students' academic achievement by using literature review. The results showed that students who worked part-time had a lower level of academic achievement compared to students who did not work part-time. There are several factors such as time spent at work, less effective time management, and physical fatigue can be major contributors to this negative impact. This discovery provides valuable insight for the parties involved in managing student education and workforce policies. As the number of students choosing to work part-time increases, there is a need for a holistic approach that considers the balance between work and study, in order for students to achieve their academic potential optimally

Abstract

This study attempts to examine the da’wah strategy of K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) in promoting religious tolerance as part of the practice of cultural preaching. Through literature study approach, this study attempts to examine Gus Dur's ideas and da’wah practices. In its implementation, Gus Dur displays critical thinking that emphasizes the importance of peace and respect for differences by always prioritizing the values of humanism, inclusivity, and respect for diversity. His da’wah strategy always emphasizes universal Islamic messages that are oriented towards justice and peace. Gus Dur's critical thinking on religiosity places religious tolerance as the main principle in society. Gus Dur's da’wah model can be said to be relevant to building harmony between religious communities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Brick business is one of the local economic sectors that is widely engaged in by the local community. This business is considered capable of improving community welfare and is easy to develop, so that the community can become more independent. Because it has a low loss rate and does not require high costs with many benefits.This study aims to identify marketing strategies implemented by brick entrepreneurs to improve the economic welfare of families in the Jampue Village community. The method used in the study is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The results of the study show that marketing strategies that are carried out directly, such as primary and selective needs strategies, can encourage increased income and living standards for local communities. Although there are still several obstacles faced in innovation and expanding market reach.

Abstract

Patchouli is a promising commodity for development by the local community in Uhaidao Village, Mamasa, West Sulawesi. Consequently, patchouli farming continues to grow as a means to improve household economic conditions among farming families in the area. This study focuses on illustrating the improvement of family income through the cultivation of patchouli. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that prior to engaging in patchouli farming, most farming households were in a low economic condition.However, after cultivating patchouli, household income increased significantly. Efforts made by farmers include land expansion, the use of high-quality seeds, adherence to recommended cultivation techniques, and diversification through the planting of additional crops besides patchouli.

Abstract

The development of rural tourism contributes significantly to improving the welfare of local communities. Latimojong Village in Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi, is one such example of a village promoting its tourism potential. This study aims to explore the role and contribution of the Kelompok Sadar Wisata (POKDARWIS) in supporting the village's creative economy, as well as to identify the opportunities and challenges involved. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that POKDARWIS plays a key role in developing the creative economy, particularly in the culinary and handicraft sectors, through community education, skills training, and product promotion. Major challenges include limited human resource capacity, lack of support from the village government, and restricted access to tourism land. Despite these obstacles, POKDARWIS initiatives—such as the creation of water tubing and camping attractions—have successfully drawn visitors and opened new employment opportunities for the local population.
